Absolutely hideous blob of nothingness, it could be a Kia, Skoda, Hyundai, I wouldn't know if it didn't have the roundel on.
Stupid coupe SUV shape, the worst of both worlds, if you're going to have a massive, tall wide & heavy blob why lose half the load space with a stupid coupe rear end ?
The EV version of this, has two ugly plastic fake vents in place of the tailpipes, my goodness, lazy and pathetic.
This comment will be removed no doubt, because all of the other comments are praising this monstrousity, which is completely unrealistic.
PEAK bmw design was the F series, and every single day I'm more sure of that! Absolutly love my F32 and I'm never going to "upgrade" to the G SERIES....EVERY SINGLE new bmw looks worse and worse! The 2 series, the m2, XM, X2, X1....... Stop making this "futurist" designs that have NOTHING to do with the brand philosophy... they are suposed to look sporty and smart, not a futurist edgy box!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a big fan of the brand, I swear by BMW but these new cars are making me so sad!
Have to say, the G30/G31 has a place in my heart. For me (of course, personal taste differs), it is the best looking fairly recent BMW and also the last nice looking BMW. For me it all started going down when they facelifted the previous 7 series. Before it was beautiful and completely reasonable and the 5 series and even the 6 GT followed its language. Then it all went tits up when they wanted to appeal to the Chinese market. Just do a different stylinf for the domestic market ffs. Changing the grilles and the bumpers doesn’t cost billions.
But yeah sure the F10 5 was a really nice car.
The whole M and X lineup is getting way apart from the originality 🤧

ngl looks like a miniature XM idk im just not into it. don’t let this statement discourage you bmw! i KNOW you can make good looking cars like you used to ! dont get butthurt and make cars like the IX people dont want that. the f90 m5 is one of the best looking modern bmws! its SIMPLE, and cleeeeean. the new 5 series is alright, but has way worse proportions! try something simple, dont make a hexagon on wheels bmw! i know you can do better than this

The newest BMW designers must be Chinese
Comical not for Chinease people. BMW said it clearly, for them this is the biggest market and they design cars for their taste. Our (EU and US) taste is minority.
The design team never proposes only 1 design. They may design the perfect car, but what matters is if it ticks the boxes for the management. The problem originates above the design team. For me this car has no character, its like it was designed by AI, it incorporates many other brands together.

Come on BMW. We don't need ugly SUVs with a tiny 4 cyl M Performance engine. That's ridiculous.
FWD-based 4-cylinder SUVs are getting the best design overhauls, but the RWD 6-zylinders are still like "Let's take the s slightly changed kidney grill, a ugly tailpipe trim and sell it as an M-Performance model."
Still, I kinda like the design a bit, but the rear could be straight from the chinese market.

Also einfach frag ich mich aktuell bei den neuen BMW Modellen immer mehr. Es gibt ein ganzes Team an hochbezahlten Designern deren Tätigkeit nur darin besteht optisch schöne und ansprechende Autos zu bauen. Und das hat damals ja auch geklappt schau man sich den E46 oder vor allem E92 an. Wunderschöne Formen und Proportionen. Aber aktuell wirkt es immer mehr bei modernen Autos, dass es nur noch einen Designer gibt und anstatt das dieser die Autos wirklich „designt“ lässt er die ganzen Anforderungen für das Auto durch ein KI Programm laufen und raus kommt dann sowas.
Schaut euch mal diese Ultra üble Seitenansicht an. Was sind den das für Proportionen? Furchtbar!

It's pretty disappointing how bmw got rid of angel eyes headlights :( that was like a signature for bmw vehicles since the early 2000's just like the kidney grill which got worse and worse over time

Bin nun BMW-Fan, seit ich denken kann, also seit ca 30 Jahren.
In dieser Zeit gab es extrem viele, ästhetisch-ansprechende Modelle. Ab und an mal ein paar Fehltritte, wie zB der E60, der E65, oder der E63. Der E90 war auch nicht so richtig meins, aber bei weitem nicht als Fehltritt zu bezeichnen.
Allerdings frage ich mich ernsthaft, welchen harten Stoff die Designabteilung seit ca 2-3 Jahren nimmt.
Ja, die Designs sind crazy und ausgefallen. Aber WARUM??? Die Fahrzeuge sehen einfach nur furchtbar aus. Keinerlei Ästhetik, miese Proportionen, keine fließenden Formen, seltsame geometrische Designelemente. Wenn ich das Design mit einem Wort beschreiben sollte, wäre es "Klotz".
Dazu überhaupt keine BMW-typische Designlinie. Manche Modellreihen könnten von komplett unterschiedlichen Herstellern stammen.
Ich war großer Fan des M2, ein wunderschönes Fahrzeug! Als ich den Nachfolger auf Fotos sah, dachte ich mir "es wird immer schlimmer, aber gut, vielleicht sieht er live besser aus". Neulich sah ich einen auf der Straße und hatte regelrecht Mitleid mit dem Besitzer. Das ist für mich tatsächlich derzeit das hässlichste Auto auf den Straßen ... sorry, dass ich das so sagen muss.
Ich habe fast schon Angst davor, was ihr aus der 3er Reihe macht, BMW. Der G20 hatte meiner Meinung nach das schönste 3er-Design seit dem E46. Danach kann es nur noch bergab gehen. Vor allem bei den derzeitigen Ergüssen.
Um das Ganze etwas abzumildern: Der X2 ist nicht ganz so schlimm, wie der neue 7er, oder dieser SUV-Klotz XM.
Die Bangle Designs als Fehltritt zu bezeichnen find ich etwas schwierig, erst recht beim E60. Aber ja, bei den neueren Designs kann man sich aufjedenfall streiten.
@@CRDYMN Ja, vielleicht war das etwas überzeichnet. Ich hätte besser schreiben sollen "ab und an mal etwas, das man als Ausrutscher bezeichnen könnte". Der E60 ist mit M-Paket noch in Ordnung, wenngleich ich mit den Bangle-typischen Heckdeckeln nicht warm werde.
Ist natürlich auch sehr subjektiv!
Ist dir das wirklich nicht klar warum die Designs so aussehen? Sie sollen dir auch nicht gefallen, mir auch nicht, du würdest an BMWs Stelle auch blöd gesagt einen scheiß drauf geben, was die 80 Millionen deutschen denken wenn es dafür den 1,4 Milliarden Chinesen gefällt...
looks good, just wish they kept the Idrive controller, i use mine all the time in my x3, don't think i would want all touch screen as only option to navigate through idrive

This thing is missing one important thing which is the B58 😂
Its to late, the car is a transverse engine so expensive development would be required to fit a B58. Technically you could fit a B58 transversely but the car would handle like crap and have a terrible turning radius.

Great, just great, it comes with a hole in the glove box where you removed the lamp, just like on the X1 I have on order, because that's what you do with a premium brand for that price, you remove something that was signed for and you leave a hole, thanks BMW (just in case: sarcasm alert)
