Long before he was Joel Miller or the Mandalorian, he was Oberyn Martell. My all time favorite character on this show
They haven’t got there yet so no specifics but he gives one of the best speeches in the show.
That speech is so amazing especially the “that’s just” line
@@bradcarver8127
The chemistry between the characters in that scene was insane.
Mmmm cannot agree, but he was a good character
@@bradcarver8127brought tears to my eyes
The pairing you didn't know you needed, arya and the hound road trip
probably someone already told you but that's not Robb's sword they melted, it's Ned's Valyrian steel sword Ice. I love you guys' giggles, made my day
Ice was the ancestral Valyrian steel greatsword of House Stark. It was in the possession of House Stark for over four centuries, kept in a scabbard made from wolf pelt. It was used both in war and on ceremonial occasions by the Lord of Winterfell. "Ice" is a legacy from the Age of Heroes and predates the current sword. About four hundred years before King Robert I Baratheon's reign, the Valyrian steel greatsword was spell-forged in Valyria before the doom and acquired by House Stark, who named it after that legacy and passed down through the centuries. The most recent owner of the sword was Eddard Stark, who had inherited it from his father, Rickard Stark. Robb Stark inherited Ice from Eddard Stark after his death so therefor it's technically true Robb was the owner of Ice. After the Red Wedding, the sword was melted down and reforged as two swords Widow's Wail and Oathkeeper thanks to Tywin Lannister. However the TV series portrayed it, in the books it was actually the Qohorik blacksmith Tobho Mott who reforges Ice into two smaller swords at Tywin's order not Tywin himself.
@@NXS1FYyes, to everything but Tywin reforging the sword himself. I don’t think that’s what they showed
@@NiKiMa023Tywin had a man do it. Of course. But it's still Tywin doing it.
@@Ash.Crow.Goddess yea, that’s fine, but I don’t think that’s what the comment I replied to is saying
Your reactions to seeing Pedro as Oberyn made me laugh so hard, I'm so excited of this awesome season!
Pascal made that character even more interesting than he was in the book. And he was already really interesting in the book.
This is a fantastic season. Oberyn Martell one of the most interesting characters in GOT history. It doesn’t hurt that Pedro Pascal is charming and fine as hell! I think y’all are really going to enjoy this season. It’s so good. The dragons are acting like sullen teenagers. Lol
"you really want to die for some chickens?"
"Someone is".
Your reaction to Pedro was priceless
You can see why -- even after the trauma of the end of S3 -- there's still plenty of people to root for and things to enjoy with the series going forward. Oberyn Martell is awesome. Arya is coming into her own. And there's a lot of other stuff going on all around the world. Season 4 is incredible. Enjoy!
This has my favorite Hound scene. He's not a bad guy, but a good guy who is complicated and rough around the edges. He hates bullies. The moment that guy threaten Arya during the give you one of our chickens for one of your chicken scene, the Hound made up his mind on what he was going to do to them. You saw it on his face when he thought for a moment before he replied back to that comment. As you can see the Dornish aren't too fond of the people who aren't from Dorn and the Martells, especially Oberyn, hate the Lannisters
"I grew up in Kingslanding"
I love this line so much. A reminder of how much of a viper's nest Kingslanding is.
I couldn’t wait for you guys to get to this season cause it brings in one of my favorite characters Oberyn Martell! This was my first introduction to Pedro and he is just exceptional this season. It made everyone go “OH We need to watch out for this guy”
The hound is still my favourite till this day, the dry comedy he brings in dark times makes me laugh everytime🤣 Bro hits like a train
What the fuck is a lommy?" Probably one of the best lines from probably one of the best characters in this show
@@bastiancalderon2807the sheer confusion in that line!!!!
The way Bridget immediately said, "Two people doing it" when asked about Bronns sigil 😂😂😂😂😂
It's just too perfect!
I always forget how sweet some of the more minor characters are. Master Aemond & Lady Olenna are such wonderful characters. “The one who finds the best gets to keep the next best!” So cute Omg
Tywin melted Ice, the Stark family sword. He's had it since Illyn Payne used it to execute Ned. Now that Robb is dead, Tywin believes there are no more Starks to inherit Ice.
I was bawling like a baby when I got to the end of season 3 and unfortunately the Rent-A-Center guys showed up at the same time to drop my mom's couch off and all I could get out was red wedding and that's all the guys needed to know to understand why I was crying
Lmao, that's such a great moment tho.
Oberyn is biconic chaos and we adore him for it.
6:29 In the books after the battle of the Blackwater Bronn adopts a chain covered in green flames on a grey background as his heraldry.
This references his role in the battle of the blackwater, Wildfire and a chain across the blackwater bay to stop Stannis from escaping with his fleet. It's also a pretty badass sigil in my opinion.
The fact that Tywin melting the sword as a representation of the Stark family paid nice homage to the Rains of Castamere. Tywin sure does like wiping entire HOUSES off the map!
As one should when they get out of line
Little Theon is at the Iron Islands, they sent it to his father.
18:00 Tormund: "Thenns."
Cody: "Friends?!"
Me at home: 😂😂😂 no.
"What the fook's a lommy?" ....best exchange ever.
to be fair, what the fuck kinda of name is lommy? sounds like she’s talking about a pet rabbit lmao
Oberyn is my favorite character introduced in this season. Such a badass!
"Two stick figures doin' it." Brilliant!
Love your guys reactions and energy 🕺🏻 Great channel!! Season 3-4 is arguably peak GOT so enjoy
Dunno how arguable it is, early seasons were amazing but it took the world by storm at this point. I was about to post "enjoy it bc seasons 3 & 4 are pretty much the peak of the show"
To save you the pain of rewatching the Red Wedding, the Blackfish escaped because he got lucky as hell, he stepped out to take a leak a few minutes before the carnage began, and presumably once he saw what was going on just got the hell out of there.
It's amusing that everyone has the exact same reaction to the arrival of Oberyn...
I remember watching this episode with a smidge of skepticism. After the "Red Wedding" and the end of the "important" Starks, I couldn't imagine how the story could go on with any success. However, by the end of this episode I was back in it and so excited to see what the rest of the season would bring. ❤ Season 4
After Bronn was knighted following the Battle of Blackwater he took the sigil of a flaming arrow on a black field. Doesn’t come up in the show but that’s what he picked.
It was a chain surrounded by green flame, not an arrow
@@robdurfee6861 not until he marries into House Stokeworth. At least I thought he had the arrow for awhile.
Also the sword that was re-forged was Ned's greatsword Ice, sadly Rob never got to have it, it was also the sword ser illin used to chop off Neds head xxx
I have been waiting for the reaction to this series, it’s my favourite of the whole show. This is when the World fell in love with Oberyn Martell/Pedro Pascal. This season has some of my favourite scenes and also my least favourite in the whole show. It’s epic!!!!!!!!!!!
The Blackfish stepped out to pee a little before they locked everyone else in, so that's how he escaped.
I just realised I get asmr tingles when I hear Prince Oberyn talk (his accent). 😊🥰 Anyone else?
Pedro Pascal was coaching someone who wanted to play the role of Oberyn Martell... Found out about the role, found it interesting and threw his own hat in the ring too... And this is why we have The Mandalorian and The Last of Us... He is a great actor, but it all started right here in Game of Thrones. Another wedding episode coming up, I wonder if we'll ever see episode 3 of this season...
Wow I can't believe I've never heard this, he's prob my favorite actor ever.
F to the guy he coached though
@@Quzga I don't think Pedro has ever said who he was coaching for the part, but it is an interesting story of "back stabbery" none the less... There are still zero guarantees the actor who was coached would have gotten the gig otherwise, but still feels a little dirty. Loved Pedro in GoT, and in Mandalorian and in the Last of Us... And all the power to him, but I hope there is no bad blood here.
@@timometsanoja9666 yeah imagine if that would have been the career boost of the other guy if not. But honestly I prob would have done the same, I hope he asked at least lol
Love you guys! Your reactions are so fun!
That tavern scene reminded me of when Jules asks Brad for a taste of his "Big Kahuna Burger" in Pulp Fiction.
Missed you guys this week
It's rumoured that the Hound had a younger sister that was murdered by the Mountain this explains why he is so protective over Arya and Sansa, for me the Hound is one of my absolute favourite characters
So glad to see you guys laughing and happy again Oberyn is such a badass and so are Arya and The Hound too!
The last scene of this episode is legendary. And the line about eating every chicken in the room became quite the meme.
Tywin: "The king's safe!" The king literally dies by the end of the next episode.🤣🤣
Funny thing to say knowing you already watched the next ep today.😂
I was sipping my coffee when you mentioned "Lil Theon," and the chicken "bukaw!" sound played, and spit. My. Coffee. Out. Brilliant. 😂
Ive watched the entire series once and I think Season 4 is my favorite. Its a ride.
👀🤘
Oooh! What a welcome surprise! :D I thought you'd start with season 4 on the 15th! Nice!! :D
The Wildlings call Jon “baby crow” because Jon was no older than 18 when he was taken prisoner. Jon, Theon, Robb, Ramsay, Joffrey and Daenerys are roughly the same age give or take a few months.
One of my favourite episodes
16:10 "the backhands tho..." OMG I choked on my breakfast beer on that. Lol'ed literally
5:42 Joffrey is really the pretend king, Tywins the one running the show
I’d almost forgotten how awesome the Hound’s chicken speech is. There’s videos of a parody KFC commercial starring the Hound (the “every fing chicken in the place” meal deal can’t be beat) and a crank call to KFC using the Hound’s speech.
Oberyn Martell is a badass, favorite character.
The "new" Daario later starred in _The Haunted of Hill House_ series.
Doctor: "What seems to be the problem?"
Bridgette: "He won't get out of bed."
Doctor: "When did this start?"
Bridgette: "Right after the red wedding."
Doctor: "I'm sorry, he's gone."
😂😂😂😂 I love Joffreys statue...it is very accurate his outhere killing wolfs left right and centre
Joffrey never killed anything except women forced to serve him
@@mediumvillain "I won the war, I broke Stannis on the Black water" you broke nobody, you were hiding in the castle and Tyrion did all the work.
@@robertszilva1304”The King is tired…see him to his chambers."
Yay, Oberyn is in the house! Fascinating character with good stuff coming up. Peace …
You’re gonna love the next episode!!
especially the very first scene..
edit: ah, now i know what you mean.. yes, they going to love it!
4x1 BEST REACTION OF THE ENDING EVER!!!! I am satisfied. 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thst burnt out valley at the end of the HOUND/Arya scene, was the REACH... during the war with Rob Stark (The Battle of the Five Kings) they burnt out most of the wheat 🌾 harvest from Highgarden to the Trident River near RiverRun to deter those Loyal to the Starks and the Tullys.
This season is relentless
PEDROOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! I love his character so much! Glad you're into season 4 and can get to know Oberyn!!
There is also a symbolic meaning to removing the slaves collards before burial. The collards are a symbol of their servitude, removing them means they get to be buried as free people.
I love your channel so much. Every video makes my day!
"Lots of people name their swords!"
"Lots of c*nts!"
Best exchange in the show!
My favorite season, I AM SO READY
Such a good season coming! My favorite really. Love your reactions & can't wait for more!
Another badass reaction. Love being a spectator on your GoT journey!
i envy you watching this show for the first time, I wish i never did so I can experience for the first time again. You're in for a ride my friends. Cheers.
Yay, you’re about to start my favorite season of Game of Thrones!
Friggin love the Hound and Arya!!❤❤
At the end they were going through the river lands, the very middle of the realm where most of the war has taken place. Season 4 is abut to blow your minds this is my personal favorite season 😮💨
Episode 4X01 Arya and The Hound decide to stop at the inn and eat every chicken in the place . . . ♥
You're going to die for some chickens ? Someone is.
"How's your hand?"
"He doesn't have one."
Well, he does have one.
I've been awake for pretty much 23 hours, I can watch this first before I crash tho
"Two people doing it. Sitck figures." - I don't know why I found this so funny
22:57 - Joffrey is Trump's role model.
Its kind of a meme, anytime there is a war in Westeros the Riverlands brace for impact, it always seems to get torched lol. The ending scene was in the Riverlands, in an earlier episode Tywin ordered The Mountain to burn the Riverlands, and he did.
"Maybe you're a Lannister too?" From Jaime, this is practically flirting.
I grew up in kings landing is one of best lines of the show rip aemon
I believe Osha and Rickon are
at/going to The Last Hearth, seat of House Umber, bannermen to the Starks. That’s what Bran said at the end of S3
"Ever since the wedding I haven't been able to get out of bed". Can somebody please take this out of context? 😅
Yeah, the song Oberyn heard was The Rains of Castamere. The Lannister theme. Same song from the Red Wedding. He immediately went to see who was singing 😂
I really needed this been very depressed. Missed you his
Guys*
Here comes Oberyn Martell!! 🙌🏻 💜👀
I put this season up against any season of any show, ever. It's absolutely amazing. Also, Oberyn might be my favorite character in any IP ever. The funny thing is that I liked him in the books, but I never really loved him until I saw Pedro play the part.
Pedro has that effect…
Season 4, also known as “ok this is the show now time for revenge” 😂😂
Did you know with dogs, as puppies you’re supposed to let them nibble at you showing them that they can’t hurt you part of imprinting on them.
Busy getting captured is one of my favorite lines.
FAVORITE ENDING IN THRONES FOR ME.
A LITTLE CHICKIN' & A LITTLE KILLIN'
Mareen is the LARGEST of the eastern Slave cities of of Ole Ghis... When Valeria destroyed Old Ghis, Most of the survivors fled to what is now known as Mareen the rainbow city.
I love how all reactors want lil baby Arya to kill everyone lol
27:00 "You should not kill, you should steal".
Looking forward to the part where the Hound steals from someone and doesn't kill them. Because it wasn't a better result.
Interesting fact: at the start of the episode the sword that got melted into 2 swords was Ned Stark's sword, the same that he got beheaded with
At the end ..." where is this again" well they men they just killed had been working with the mountain in that area. See the kind of work they were doing.
FTK! Due to Oberon, Arya and the Hound in this episode, it's my favorite opening to any season.
"Little Theon" was in the box sent to Lord Greyjoy. As Ramsey put it, "Theon's favorite toy. He cried when I took it away."
Yep, I came to the comments to say the exact same thing. Theon's... rooster is at the Iron Islands with Theon's dad... :D
Olenna Redwynne- Margery Tyrell’s granny- was once the sexiest woman on TV - on a show called The Avengers. Diana Rigg!❤
The “twist his dick” threw me off guard haha
Jaime ~ "Every Lannister I've seen has been a miserable pain in the ass "
The burnt fields are the Riverlands. Wartorn, sacked, looted Riverlands.
