Tywin doesn't see Jaime as useless because of losing his hand. He thinks Jaime is useless as a member of the Kingsguard since he cannot hold titles and land or have a wife and children while serving the vows of the Kingsguard. His only duty is to protect the King. Now that he lost his hand, Tywin tried to use that as an acceptable excuse for Jaime to resign from the Kingsguard so he can take over the Lannister ancestral household of Casterly Rock and pass on his line, since he really doesn't want it to pass through Tyrion, the only son who can currently inherit it.
So did we ever find out how Igli just casually knows Tywin’s fate? Lol

Yeah I just got to that part in the video and if he’s been spoiled about certain details - that would explain it. However, it seems he’s known a lot of things. Super sus. I’m looking forward to the conversation when you bring it up

@@user-hg3iv5hy3s He catches on to things quick and spoilers happen. I've never watched passed season 4 but I have heard (unwillingly) so much about seasons 5-8 I might as well have seen it. Also if he has seen it before and they're pretending he hasn't why would they not edit that part of it out of the video instead of highlighting it?
I mean it's not unpredictable, Tywin's one really big fatal mistake is his mistreatment of Tyrion. It's not hard to imagine it will come back to bite him.
Absolutely agree, the chicken tavern scene and the end with the two on horse fading off with the music, chef's kiss. The cherry on the cake is the fire crackle and the close-up cut to Arya's eyes quick-dart towards the guard after The Hound says "F**K the king."
My absolute fave shot of all tv and cinema is also in this season, but that will wait... ;)

I’ve been watching you guys for about a month now. So glad I found this channel. Watched the scream series and just caught up on the GOT reactions. Blake’s passion for GOT and banter with Igli is awesome, Igli’s ability to follow, decipher and make solid predictions on all the shows’ story lines has been impressive to watch and Corey’s calming presence with a nice dose of insight has been so cool. Dope trio, Wyatt and cojo are awesome too 👍🏽 great page
This was the first episode / season of Game of Thrones I watched live, I had binge-watched the first three seasons on HBO leading up to the premiere of S4 so this episode has always held a special place in my heart it's so damn good and Jamie waving his prosthetic hand is and has always been outright hilarious to me 🤣 the episode started with two swords being made and by the end there were two swords being used by Arya and the Hound
I don’t think Igli’s seen it because no one is that good of an actor but I remember him saying at the beginning of the show he was spoiled on certain things.
One of my fav episodes.
Every time I eat a roasted chicken or am angry I think, "I'm going to have to eat every chicken in this room."
That chicken scene is one of my favourite in the whole show lol its perfect. 😂
It's odd that some people seem to forget or maybe just weren't there to realize that while Pedro Pascal had been acting for years before the show, it's Game of Thrones that was his big breakthrough and made him famous and a household name. He frequently credits the show with giving him a career. The reaction to his role here was so incredibly big and positive that by the time the season wrapped I knew and said to friends that this dude was going to be a star, and sure enough, that's what happened. Another bit of Pascal trivia: Back in 2011, he was cast as some random character in a Wonder Woman TV show starring Adrianne Palicki in the lead role, but fans HATED every set photo and word about changes they were making to the character and then the pilot itself was apparently so shit that after NBC executives saw it, the show was canceled and never aired. Jump forward 9 years later, and Pascal appears as the villain Maxwell Lord in Wonder Woman 1984. That also didn't work out critically or box office wise, but unlike the TV show, it at least got released.
Did not know he was in that WW pilot. His earliest role I can think of is in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He was in one episode (S4E1). He looks so weird in that episode (he's clean shaven).

I recommend another film for you to react to: THE EVIL DEAD (1981), a classic of the horror subgenre, with grotesque and hallucinating moments, and which introduced one of the craziest and most insane franchises of all time, worth checking out.
Evil dead is the bomb. A strange series that just gets better as time goes on. Besides the reboot
I'm sorry, but Igli has watched this show. No one can tell me otherwise. He's just a good actor, that's all. He drops his guard once in a while.

There are some things in GoT that have entered the realm of popular culture beyond the show itself. For example, Ramsey waving the sausage at Theon - Igli was delighted to recognise that but it doesn't mean he'd seen the show before, he's just been exposed to it in some other context.
I watched the red wedding live. Didn’t watch the season finale, I pretty much forgot about the show for years and came back only shortly after season 6 had been aired and completed. However, I was in a very stoned, sensitive and unsuspecting place while watching the red wedding, I guess I had grown lax since the first season

Ya guys crack me up but here’s something you forget. When we watched this live we have a LONG break to get over Season 3 before we started 4. We didn’t have the benefit of clicking next episode. We had to know what happened next so we came back just more guarded knowing that no one is safe and can be killed at anytime. Keep up great work! Loving first perspective from Igli pov. Cheers 🍻

If memory serves right, House Hollard is from Duskendale. The events at Duskendale is said to be what drove Aerys into more madness. House Hollard and many other houses were greatly impacted (negatively) after Duskendale.
After the red wedding episode, I went and got the books. That’s when I binge read all of them- in between seasons. That includes the Hedge Knight books. (They are supposed to be coming out with another spinoff series based on those too)
No reactor ever talks about the Jamie Cersei Quyburn moment. Not only is the reveal that she moved on emotionally - but the treatment of symptoms that was not Jamie’s “concern” - it was probably the extermination of a pregnancy by Lancel.
Uhh actually that’s just pure speculation and gossip, no truth in that at all. The symptoms could be early signs of menopause

As far as best scenes in the series go…for me….id say at least half of my top ten…are dialogue scenes between 2 or 3 characters….the chicken conversation is one of them.
lol Im sure Igli's comment was more a hopefully comment. like "i cant wait until Joffery dies" might just be hopeful that he will one day get whats coming to him. But the way he said it tho.... lol
One more thing..I understand this is a show review and not books so I rarely compare them, however, one point that bothers me is in Cat's pov in books, her resentment was stronger towards Jon Snow bc in her view, it was Jon who bested Robb at everything and not the other way around..
Also, Price Oberyn, definitely a top 5 character for me, books and show..

To answer Blake's question, yes, there was a point I was done with GoT books and show, but it wasn't season 3 or 4..
I was later than many to GoT and had read the books finally in preparation of catching up with the show and watching the premiere of season 4 when it aired. So, I was already aware of the red wedding, but it was an entirely different experience to see it on screen.
At end of season 5, where the books also ended for source material, was where I was finally mad and broken enough over a book or show that I no longer cared to watch..however, at the time it aired, there was a pretty big spoiler leaked online that brought me back to the fold..

Not sure if any of you read the books or not but if so...has there been any thought around discussing the theories behind Tywins, ah, view of Tyrion? and why he would refuse to give Casterly Rock to him. There are some theories and/or rational that are more supported by the books than the shows...
You noted in the tavern/inn fight that Arya did nothing to help the Hound until she was pretty sure he as going to win? And that's because she has no particular liking for him - he's on her "list" after all. And she's a survivior. - If she had helped the Hound from the start and he was killed, she'd be raped and then these guys would undoubtably murder her once they'd finished with her. However, if the Hound died and she didn't get involved, she'd still be raped but they'd probably let her live. It's all about surviving..

My favorite character Dahrio Nahris🤩
This is easily the best season premier episode of the whole series. For people worried how the show was going to carry on without Rob and Catelyn this episode showed that it was going to become even better then before and introduce the best new character the show ever had. The music at the end is still bittersweet and sad as we see the countryside is on fire because of the war but it felt like the Starks at least finally got a win even if it was a small one.
