@@JoySibley-uw3ql I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day-to-day investment decisions being guided by an advisor, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

Tesla is mainly a retail stock. Wall Street is involved mainly because of ETF's and some portfolio manager who are knee deep in Tesla shares like Cathie Wood and Ron Barron. So don't blame wall street for this.
In regard optimus imo it should be sooner than you think. We scrapped previous fsd and replaced it with neural net fsd v12 within one year of development and it's better. What make you think it'll take that much longer for optimus if we use the same strategy? And also it does not need to be full ready to go before shipment. We can always update it over the air in future. The only reason why fsd take so long it's because it's life and death if it's not fully working.
Any upward movement was based on guidance and the idea that next quarter things will start improving. 🎉

I don't know why you keep repeating Elon said Optimus will be out soon before now. He's never given anytime except it being in the future. No body in the Tesla community expected it. Only on this earnings has he said anything definite about it.

This guy still got it wrong with energy, the energy business is on the grip and not necessarily just the solar part, the energy business has a grown of 70% this year, if this guy ever had Tesla solar he knows there is an autobid software with the grid which is far superior of any competitor.

I like anything under $150 to start getting more shares. $100 or less would be awesome, and is a possibility with a couple horrible quarters.
Next quarter will be good due to plenty of leftovers from last quarter.

Agreed, 120-100 is likely soon and will make a great no look long term buy
Margins will be under pressure constantly as Tesla are forced to cut prices in order to maintain current sales volume. Models will be a refresh at best. The $25000 car will be a model 3 or Y with as many bits taken out/altered/replaced to get to target price. Too expensive to produce an all new model as margin will be too thin and will face competition from BYD and others in this price segment. P/e is way too high. This year and 2025 will be bad for ev sales growth as buyers see hybrids as a better fit for lifestyle .
Stock price will go lower it is inevitable. Hope I’m wrong as I have huge respect for Elon
They don’t face BYD in USA so margins don’t have to be low there.
I think the only message they conveyed on new models was that they will be extremely cheap.
FSD should be robotaxi ready by August if Elon was capable of picking a good city…
Sadly Elons judgement is terrible (Germany, India) so he can’t pick a good city.

@@rossinverted This run up was historically high and it’s extremely likely to be maxed out.
I see the following headwinds for NVDA.
Reduced profit margins.
This is due to a few reasons. Firstly their new H200 chip is basically 2x H100 chips glued together which they will be selling for slightly more than the H100 so their profit margins which are really too high currently will get reduced significantly (also halved). Additionally there are many potential competition from key buyers of NVDA chips. Tesla, Google and others who are buying these chips are also investing in making their own. So the rush for chips will end soon.
Power usage will slow adoption.
The power usage of AI chips is getting crazy high and we will run out of electricity to run all of these AI models soon at the current growth rate this this will have to slow drastically.
Too much compute and not enough data.
The power of these chips are so high and models are getting so big that they will start running out of things to compute or run models on. There will also be data roadblocks in that certain platforms won’t let companies pull data from it due to privacy concerns, cost and the potential value of that data (I.e they will charge for the data so it will get much more limited use).
Robotics and Self-driving will not be significant growth for NVDA.
The chips running robotics and self driving cars will not be enough to make a substantial improvement to NVDA’s bottom line. They will make small profits off the chip but the majority of the value is in the end product and services the robots will provide. It is extremely unlikely NVDA will get a cut of the services fee since you don’t see similar cost structures setup from other chip manufacturers in the past. For example, intel never made money from software sales. Also both are a few years out from hitting the bottom line so also not a growth opportunity currently.
Lastly, being the android of AI isn’t necessarily going to do much for NVDA since google doesn’t really make any money from Android in general.

I think we have high risk on TSLA with Elon's comp vote 13th June, Robotaxi reveal 8th August and Elon's political stuff in election year. So for me I'm looking for further pull backs to add in small chunks. But I'm watching the FSD stuff for signs Wall Street starts to believe.

Why aren't investors frustrated GM doesn't have any EVs how about Toyota with there solid state 900+ mile battery cars promised in 2014 by 2020? I know your answer is multiples are lower. They are in a race to slow bankruptcy as their clear primary focus.

Everyone knows that in quarterly earnings what is said about the future is more important than the numbers of the past quarter. The market is forward looking. Last quarters numbers were baked into the stock price prior to the earnings call. Even when the numbers are higher or lower than expected, what is said about the future has a greater impact on the next day’s stock price.

The biggest news is autonomy. We can agree or disagree with how quickly or if Tesla will get to better-than-human autonomous driving but it's inarguable that Tesla believe they're close and are spending and organising accordingly.
I hope WS beats it down. EPS projections are still falling and I sold early in Q1. I’ll add more when it falls again
Also this guy did not understand the tech, before FSD 12 everything was by hard coded scenarios but now is just image training no code, that’s why took Tesla too long to find the right path, which is how is the robot being trained now, no code just image training, once Tesla found the correct path the development for their robots would not be in the comparison as the early days of FSD because you don’t need to reinvent the wheel for a new AI hardware.

The statement by Elon to return to the 50% annual growth rate by using unused capacity at the existing Gigafactories to grow from 1.8m cars per year to 3m cars per year with minimal capital investment is definitely a fundamental change to the previous market sentiment of 0% or negative growth for this year and perhaps next year. This is even more significant if they can produce these new models by the end of 2024 or early to mid 2025.
Optimus doesn't need to "be able to do everything" in the same way humans don't have to be able to do everything.
