I've owned NVDA for over 8 years. It's been up and down, but I believe in Jensen Huang and will stick with NVDA until Jensen says otherwise. I know that sounds crazy, but when the financial statements/Jensen, (same to me) tell me to sell, I will. I'm sure I won't sell at the top, but that's OK.
Kept $105k in CIT Bank HYSA at 5.05% but i now plan to invest in the stock market. What are your thoughts on that? What stocks should I look out for as a newbie to safely grow my money?
Apt!! I was self-managing my portfolio but suffered heavy losses in 2022 and i knew i couldn't continue like that, so i consulted a fiduciary advisor. By restructuring and diversifying my $1.2M portfolio with dividend-paying stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds and REITs, I significantly boosted my portfolio, achieving an annualized gain of 28%.
I regret selling stocks 2021 and my strategy ever since has been pretty much buying Gold and silver to protect my wealth but if I could come up with a way to profit from this bull run, that would be brilliant. I've missed so much already.
I don't comfortably throw recommendations around on the internet, but I've been working with Camille Anne Hector. God ! she's brilliant! I'm sure there are others who are good.

you don't need that much, as long as you have 250k to 350k in cash, and earn at least 40k plus is fine. It not like you are going to pay the car off, get the car, drive it for a year or two then get something else. You don't need millions of manov to oniov nico thinnc.
Most people miss it but the secret to retiring comfortably is finding a way to make returns while your money works for you. My Dad, as i remember started saving for retirement quite late but I know he was making more than 10k returns from his investments monthly and it was completely passive,

TSLA stock split twice since the time bulls were call 2k price target. Im not sure about PLTR. I think they split but they do have alot of shares out there. I get what you mean. I lost alot of money on NIO. Im sure you remember them. I love the battery swap idea but they cant seem to make profits and the keep liquidating the stock killing me. Never agin. They have to prove it for to buy the hype like what NVDA did.
I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. I've been around computers since everything was done on punch cards. I've worked for software companies (not as a coder though) etc etc. It's unrealistic to expect people to quantify any type of A.I. particularly Palantir. IBM didn't understand DOS (aka CP/M and that's how Bill Gates got over), Xerox didn't understand GEOS or the Mouse(that's how Jobs and Wozniak got over).
IF TOP EXECS truly understood Palantir I'd GLADLY SELL EVERYTHING ELSE I OWN AND BUY IT AT $22/ share. Truth is... Most Execs don't understand software PERIOD and don't know that "A.I." doesn't work on STATIC PRINCIPLES like EXCEL or SAP which need SCRIPTING to add value. "A.I." provides SYNERGY through Logical Manipulation using Boolean Principles and Palantir is 2 decades deep into it. 😂😂😂 They're the Michael Jordan of their Lane.

Been buying TSLA since early 2020 whenever I've had spare money and it's not at local tops. Average price $184. Adding more if Elon's comp plan gets sorted. Holding till early/mid 2030s then selling gradually through 2045 to pay for things for my kids as they reach adulthood.

Alex Karp must be expecting for higher growth in the future - or else it makes no sense when he says that that he hopes for the company to be 10-20 times larger in 10 years. I invest in Palantir and Tesla because they have multibagger potential - but that does not mean it will happen.

Do you stick to that video? Was it only for entertainment? I need to know what is your position on that since you say you don't know what will happen in 2030, and that Tesla is overvalued at 400... I need some explanation here. Please.
Without watching yet I think two of the reasons will be: 1) retail doesn’t buy when the stock is massively sold off and blood is in the streets. 2) When they are in the red for the position they do not add more shares and greatly lower their cost basis.

Or average down! We had more than a year with Palantir to get that average well under $10. Share count is what matters in the end though so hopefully many did that.

I bought Sofi at 25 dude. And then I averaged down to 7.5 dollars. So you can always, slowly, get back to fair value.
@@johnpreston230 it's just a different approach.... Luke wants shares. I want money. I can't increase the pot if my funds are tied up in a trade that lost 70%. Eventually you work your way out of it, but it's such an aggravating grind that I prefer to skip it altogether. 👍
