After countless blunders and wasting advantages in wining positions, I am proud to say that I have progressed enough to face the pause the video moment and make the exact same decision that the mighty Nakamura made in the game.
@@michaelblankenau6598 thank you for the comment. Magnus is the best endgame player by far. He really do knows all the tabke base chess esp. thematic endings such as this. He won a great endgame with bishops against Alireza in a drawn game and Nakamura has failed to win a lot of games against Magnus where he fails to convert a winning advantage. Fabiano in the recent video with Danil Dubov said that Magnus is the sole best player in this, converting a winning advantige in to a win and the more famous one squeezing water out of stone. Its all because he knows the best move in dead drawn endgames and he almost all time plays untill its draw by repetition or insuficient material. Not much to add. Once again thank you for your kind words and beautiful comment.
@ Again . What you say is nonsense . Magnus gets crushed by any decent engine . Why ? Because the engine actually does use a table base. Magnus makes mistakes just like any other human . Otherwise he would be able to defeat engines like Stockfish or Leela .
It depends. In an endgame, you want them on the opposite colour for the most part because you don't want your opponent to have targets. During the middle game you want them on the same colour as your opponents bishop so that it can blunt the bishop. There's exceptions to the rule though, for instance if you have bishops of opposite colour endgame up 2 connected pawns, you don't want to put your pawns on opposite colours because that will make it possible for your opponent to blockade them since there will be no way to remove the king from the blockade.
The idea is. If your pawns are isolated, you should put them on the opposite color. But if you have a healthy pawn chain that cannot be easily weakened, then its better to have them on the same color, because it will restrict the opponent's bishop's movements.
Dont know if this game deserved a video, its your channel ofcourse, you decide it, but there didn't seem any juice in this game. Even the end play was very routine. Magnus had a bad bishop, relatively speaking. Firstly stuck on h4 and later on the queen side.
Hello everybody! I am looking for a specific game that I am kind of sure I saw in Agad’s channel, but I can not find it anymore! It was between kasparov and Anand, and Anand had a pawn that he wished he never had it. Please let me know if you know the game! Regards
I have an idea for a new time format in chess. It's basically blitz, but each player has the ability to "Freeze Time" once during the game. The "Freeze Time" superpower can only be used once in a game and only lasts for 30 seconds. Why would this be exciting ? Because, just like in this game, Hikaru missed the winning move that he might have found with more time. He may have sensed there was more there, but with little time to calculate, he just moved on. If he used the "Freeze Time" superpower at the this very moment, he would have found the move and won this glorious game. Please hit like on this so that the chess gods may see my offering and bestow on me, many royal forks and promoted pawns. TY Terry
#suggestion I have been watching your videos for a long time now and also an old subscriber. I love that yoh upgraded your system and cameras but one thing I want to point out is that your webcam is focusing too close on your face. It seems quite odd as if the head is popping out. In the old videos the wide angle lens was better as it gives a sense of distance between you and your background. In newer setup, your background just looks computer generated, good but artificial. Anyways, we are here for the chess and it may be subjective to me only. Still great videos. Keep up the good work.
#suggestion I dare you to not change the title of the video, the joke will write itself with time. And also the mini robot is showing it as a classical game.
from the position at 7:40, my brain is telling me that white can play be5 and take the pawn no matter what black does, if he trades your king moves up towards blacks pawn on a6. no i did not fully calculate everything, im only like 1150 lol, i'll leave all that to the better players. guys tell me why im wrong here because i dont see it. black cant really push the pawn he loses the bishop and the pawn, moving the bishop does nothing. i dont get it. but thats probably because im a scrub haha.
He kinda showed it but in case this helps: After be5: Black will win the pawn on h5. White will win the pawn on d4. You win a chessgame by checkmate. A bishop and a king against a king is not enough material to checkmate. -> if black simplifies into this its a draw by insufficient material. So as long as blacks bishop can "sacrifice" itself/ stop the pawn on the a file, its a draw. Black can give up his pawn on a6, since he does not need it for the draw. If you give black a few moves like with Be5 he can assure the capture of the white pawn on the a file/whenever it reaches a5. So the bishop will stay watching over a5 (either on the d8-a5 or the a5-e1 diagonal). The king can not block this diagonal. Whites bishop could, but black can always pivot on a5 to stay unbothered on either diagonal. The diagonals are big enough to avoid a trade and to avoid whites king. Agad shows this at 10:41. In the end they had another draw, but that way to draw was crucial.
Yeah finding that winning idea in seconds is going to be almost impossible even for these two. They would find it if you gave them each 20 seconds and told them there was a win to find. However in a blitz game with this kind of position rattling off moves in seconds each there is no way. Mostly because how are you going to know on that exact move that you need to stop and make some calculations. If you guess wrong, do the calculations in a different position to find there is no win, now you are in severe time trouble and in danger of flagging.
15.30, Surely Konstantin the prelate's comments do have some logic (expressed very bizarrely) . Unfaithfulness in marriage and abortion (sacrificing an infant to the god of economics) have their influence on how much God can protect or bless a nation, or otherwise. Proverbs 14:34 Blessings
It would be fun to see the bar that shows who is at an advantage.... This game felt very trade off, drawish the whole way mostly. But what do I know....
Great game was so rooting for Hikaru I root for anyone vs Magnus. to beat him someone has to have a spectacular game . I wonder if there will come a day when Magnus won’t be able to dominate like he does presently . Thanks Agadmator
It's about time we get an Agadmator Video title:- "This game was played in the future"
Someday he becomes a live commentator and the name of the show is "this game is being played right now"
"And it will be as of this move that this position will never be reached again."
"And now, let's head back to the future, Marty."
After countless blunders and wasting advantages in wining positions, I am proud to say that I have progressed enough to face the pause the video moment and make the exact same decision that the mighty Nakamura made in the game.
Knight to E4😊
My wining position usually involves a recliner and an ottoman.
Bless up
Wow ..great man ..I made the same mistake as Hikaru..😊
me 2. Didn't cross my mind that black can just move the bishop away after losing the pawn
Hikaru didn't miss the win, he just loves Magnus

So was this one...

You astound me.

I am glad Hikaru played my move.
Just finished the capablnaca alekhine video and saw this notification 😅
I picked the same move as Hikaru. I'm so proud!
Thanks
I think I come to Agad's channel almost as quickly as he uploads 😅
A classical Titled Tuesday 😂
Magnus: I'm wearing jeans. Wanna be co-champions of this game?
Hikaru: Sure. FIDE won't mind.
If they let jeans in Magnus will have to start wearing jorts
But a draw means Hikaru wins because he has half a point more than Magnus
Antonio is living in the future
this is the ultimate difference between this two. Magnus knows the table base chess by heart like playing the violin.
Is 8 pieces also table base?
If that’s true why did Magnus blunder away the draw by playing d4 ? So what you say about the table base and violins is nonsense .

Please don't come near my young pawns.
@ - You need therapy… 😹
I found the move Hikaru played, and I thought it worked. I’ll see myself out. 😢
82.a7 Kc7 stalemate occured

GG Sir Antonio
Thanks for your contribiution to improve our "vast" knowlege.
Antonio if you are reading this you made Hikaru 3300 in classical. Hope to see some Hikaru stockfish games soon
Its not the fide elo. Its titled tuesday so its the elo of cursed online chess website which shall remain unnamed.
😂
7:28 why not be5+ and capture pawn? Any smart chess pros who can help me?
It cannot be blitz as there is a C over the computer! It's classical! Silly Antonio!
Good to see Magnus playing again
I always like the video before I watch.
When you opp has a bishop, is it better your pawns be on the same color as the opp bishop, or opposite?
Damn it, you answered a minute after i asked

At 24:00
Have you tried Earl Grey tea?
As soon as he said blitz I knew he will do the good old switcheroo on the letter C.
bishop e5 looked so natural and logical....surprised that it threw the game
Tal’s first winning tournament #suggestions
I think you missed hikaru Be3 brilliant right?
Why C in the right corner image? Should be B?
A most exciting one.
Go behind to capture the pawn and trade bishops and then eliminate the pawn on the left?
Looking forward to the million dollar blitz tournament.
No evaluation bar ?
#suggestion want some brilliant games by max euwe ,underrated world champion
Why Kd3? Be5 followed by Bxd4 wins. Am I missing something?
I’ve never noticed the little letter above the follow me until today
9:53 Even with all the time in the world to pause the video and solve the position, I made the same mistake as Hikaru and thought Be5 was winning.
#suggestion Bagirov vs Gufeld. So beautiful it was called the Mona Lisa Game
What a title, agad
Oooh, a classical game between Hikaru and Magnus! Oh, drat, the logo is incorrect.
the world champion final i wanted to watch
Agadmator, you've got a C on the clock indicating classical time format, when you say in the video that the time format is blitz
Fixed at 8:30
The title will not age well
Watching days later
Of course hikaru will never find the strongest move in that end game because he is not Magnus..
Feels like this game was played some hours ago..

I'm following Agadmator's channel for 6 years. Only today, I came to know about the "C" and "B" letters over the "Follow Me" Computer
He also has "R" (Rapid), "b" (bullet), and "A" (Armageddon).
What about the little robot C
Magnus Learned Sharing is Caring before marriage
This viewer saw the video yesterday.
Magnus is the most amazing endgame player, and HIkaru is the most fun player.
Antonio like it when he criticise my uncle😂
I just checked. The title is a lie. The game was more than 10 hours ago and the time increases constantly with the same amount of time passing.
Even in Blitz, one look at this tells you Kd3.
But who won the Hikaru Nakamura sportsmanship award?
