Is there a rule of thumb that might be applied for the length of a shadow? I can see the logic of angle being applied, particularly when the cast shadow is short - but what about longer ones?
take a lamp and illuminate an egg and check it yourself, if you get it closer, the cast shadow will be larger
The area from the core shadow-right next to it - going towards the light source,is that sometimes called dark halftone?
