I can see as I study this, the very subtle contrast between the figure's black cape & the shadow of his legs, this is fine Art at it's best .
many modern Artists would either not notice this, or would make the leg shadows as dark as the cloak.
to do what these classical fine Artist's did is VERY difficult but can look so much more lifelike, & authentic when included, it's clear that they understood that EVERYTHING in the sense of detail had to be included, there is no one area that is any less a quality than another.

Will you be doing any videos about...transitions and how to get them from dark to light. (something I have trouble with often as no matter how careful I am, I can see junction/border lines in areas where the light recedes.
