And we gotta start with Lando Norris, cuz what he went through was simply heartbreaking! After earning pole position at the Russian Grand Prix, Lando was about to win his first F1 race. But unfortunately, disaster happened!
This made him finish just P7. But it wasn’t as bad as what Michael Schumacher had to go through.

You cannot compare situations like Leclerc's and Russell's to horrible accidents like the ones with Lauda and Villeneuve. Very, very different situations. And Marko was never a "world class racing driver", he was just OK at best.
Guess we are going to talk about Senna's crash in San Marino and Norris in Sochi 2021.
I like how Toto Wolff actually told Lewis that they can win the race in Sochi 2021.

1956 the final round on Monza. British driver Peter Collins was on the verge of Winning his 1st World Championship. But decided to sacrifice himself and for Fangio by pitting and letting him drive instead (Different rules back then, points were shared for 2 drivers in 1 car and Fangio's other car had a failure). Peter Collins was only 24 and said he would have another chance as he is still young. Less than two years later Peter was killed when his Ferrari crashed at the Nurburgring...
Too many drivers lost. May they all rest in peace and forever remembered.

Ferrari 2019 was NOT heartbreaking. It was illegal. Engine was found illegal on multiple points.
Lando Norris was incredibly naïve in Sotchi, when he threw away a certain victory by refusing to pit for wets as advised by his crew countless times. He deserved not to win that race to learn one valuable lesson; to listen to the pitwall in situations like that. And here is my theory as to why Norris did what he did. Lando is a huge MotoGP enthusiast, to the point of painting his helmet inspired by Valentino Rossi. Weeks before, in August 2021, Brad Binder had won a sensational Austrian GP by staying out on slicks, while just about every other rider switched bikes for wets in a late race downpour, not unlike the one that took place un Sotchi. I am certain he had Brad Binder in his mind when he decided to risk as he did. Perhaps, if it had been Senna, Schumacher, or Verstappen, maybe (maybe) that stunt could have been pulled off, but Lilttle Lando, as good as he is in the dry, is no wet weather genius.
the difference between the mercedes and mclaren pitwall was, mercedes told lewis to stop although he didnt want to, while mclaren was asking him all the time instead of saying you have to pit NOW

The deaths of Tom Pryce and Jansen van Vuuren I think was heartbreaking. Or Senna. Or Ronnie Peterson. I don't think you can compare crashes and fatalities with not winning a race and in F1 the deaths are the tragedies.

Videos like this are pointless. Everyone knows what happened to Nikki Lauda, Jim Clark, Ayrton Senna and other legends who have died on the f1 circuit but losing a race isn't a big deal compared to the loss of a human life 😢 RIP all the F1 legends who have lost their lives
