Eyup Nathan. Your effort/reward tolerance is definitely way above mine and your climbing skills are definitely taking me to places I wouldn't see up close without your camera. Any fish from a mark like that is impressive. I'll sithi after! Dave
When I saw the the dead bird I thought, uh oh! this might not go well, and things for you didn't, but slowly got on top of it and kinda redeemed yourself 😉😏 Any how well done to you and Lewis, great mountaineering skill along with great viewing. Cheers, Arthur.
Haha, aye, might have been one of those days when I should have stayed at home, especially since that little blighter cost me 180 quid! I thought it was just stuck on the grille but the body smashed through it and took half of the badge with it. Needed a bit of surgery to remove it for the journey home. Still, it was a great day to be out. Tight lines Arthur👍🎣
Like two mountain goats very exciting fishing stay safe definitely the best fishing to watch to old now rock hopping days over I’m afraid keep them coming Nathan tight lines🎣
You're right Steve, the view and the area top the fishing. I'm trying to build the courage up to take the bait kit down to the beach, it looks really fishy!
6:39 The more of a "bend" you put in the lure, the more it flutters around on the way down or as you jig it. Helps to add some action to attract a fish.
You ever tried assist hooks on the metals, or slow jigs for that matter? I wonder if they would catch the bottom less even if they are quite expensive. Good effort lads, keep them coming.
I have, bought a load of cheap 'Mustad' from China thinking they would reduce snagging, but I'm pretty sure they had the opposite effect and I lost more lures, so moved back to singles. One thing they did do is improve OTD hook-up rate.
That climb looks seriously hard work - I'd need a nap halfway.. 🙃That mark is so wicked. Glad there were no seals about - been a plaque of my last trip too. Love the "frankenstein" lure craft - the hungry fish don't seem to care what you offer up. Thanks for another awesome vid.
Proper fishing , everyone watching RUclips expecting 20lb fish every 5 mins but not in real life , I was out Sunday wind against tide knew as soon as I got there it wasn't happening but sometimes you have to take what you've got . I was shivering so much made walking the dog easy , enjoyed the vid Nathan 😊
Thanks Kevin, you know me, I like to show it how it is. Fish when we can and enjoy that Me time, fish, no fish, small fish. It's the getting out that counts 👍🎣

Yeah it is. There's a VD along the ridge and we're approaching via the escape route. It'll be a piece of p**s for you. The rock looks good initially but had a large and solid- looking foot hold blow on the way back. Lewis told me he's never seen me look so concerned🤣
me and my friend are two local lads looking to get into LRF i have found a cliff mark at cresswell to be fished at high tide do you have any tips for two novices? maybe some info you now know but wish someone had told yourself?
Extreme extreme fishing😲😲. If effort equalled reward, you two would be world record holders for all species.🎣🎣👏👏 Another heart in mouth video. 🫣 Top class as always.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thanks for sharing.👍👍 Well done Lois/Lewis.👏👏 Love your drone work.❤️❤️ Take care and stay safe.😷🙊 Roll on your next trip.🤞

@@SlippyLimpets Yes, I'm thinking of my future too. I am trying to use the emojis before my eyesight goes, and by finding them, and sorting them, it exercises my brain to try delay the onset of dementia or the other memory loss disease that I forgot the name of.🤔. 😂😂.

I had the Xtender 3.8 until i snapped it, great feature being able to have adjustable lengths for when you might not be fishing that far off the water. The one in this video is the Spro Freestyle non extender
Haha, that would have made a great picture, not the cheapest to fix though. That little bird cost me 180 quid, still cheaper than a new roof box though
Well done guys good to see you get some fish after all that climbing. You should do a video of all your bloopers 😂 if you dont mind me asking, what supatracks studs do you use? Looking at getting some but don't know what size to order
Hi Nathan. First up, I am definitely no expert but when I fish for pollack in Ireland I always use a stiffer rod to get the fish up off the bottom and then maintain the pressure. Your rod appears to be quite whippy and it might be the case that the fish are getting some slack due to the bend in the rod. Could be completely wrong of course but would be pleased to hear your opinion. Regards, Kevin
Hi Kevin, great question. I must admit I do like a softer rod but one with plenty of power lower down the blank. It's just my take on it but (normally) there's less chance of pulling the hook and having a constant bend means that there's less chance of any slack in the line since rod is always keeping tension. It also looks more exciting on camera 🤣. I've landed 3 double-figure pollack using this setup, and from shallower water. Also, a 6lb blue shark from a boat, so know it's capable. I blame the lost fish on bad angling.
Nice session Lewis and the other guy... David? If it's any consolation I went on ass casting yesterday with an audience 😳🤣 I hate February haha. Great entertaining video and that's what it's all about 👍
I use Tasline Elite and it's only available in white. In terms of generic braid colour, I've used pink green, white and blue and don't think it makes a difference when fishing. One thing I have noticed is birds are less likely to fly into white braid. Hope this helps
One of my favourite local marks has areas you have to climb like that and I'm terrified of heights, I use to manage the climb but I don't think I'd risk it anymore even though your a an advantage cuz your about 50 yards out further than the rest of the area, you still get really good fish near by I'm just to scared and not as nimble. Be careful m8
Good stuff yet again! Ever fished Isle of Man? Check out recent 20lb shore caught pollack! Up your way next week (Cullercoats) - can I catch anything on lures locally - only success in recent times on Whitley Pipe. Don't mind Coalies!
I've not but it's on the list of places to fish. 20lb is a monster so may get there sooner than planned. The lure fishing is pretty tough from the shore because of the lack of deep water and amount of kelp close in. That's why the pipe is popular and a good shot. The North side of St Mary's can be good if you can get past the seals (and seal patrol). The south side of Cullercoats harbour. Passed the piers is has reasonably deep water and you can access it 2 hours either side of low tide. Hope this helps and you have a good one!
@@SlippyLimpets Arrvied last Saturday to big seas - no lure fishing - just very baby cod in harbour. Thanks for reply and info! Did visit "a remote beach" and saw more hares than seen in 30 years! Thanks for the inspiring stuff!

6:39 The more of a "bend" you put in the lure, the more it flutters around on the way down or as you jig it. Helps to add some action to attract a fish.
It can do but the lures I was using already have a great fluttering action on the drop, but the bend mucks it up a bit
