I've had alopecia for 20+ years and spent most of that time never laying eyes on another alopecian, either IRL or in the media. I don't think I can properly express with words how moving and empowering it is to see such a talented, beautiful young woman performing openly without her wig. Love Molly. Love the song. And a friendly reminder - representation matters.

Love at the end when the crowd is cheering, Molly, with a big smile, picks up her wig and waves it over her head. She has come to terms with it and it's beautiful to see. 😄

When... Oh whats his name..., Made fun of the guys wife at the academy awards for being bald I was totally confused because, she was so gorgeous! I thought she was rocking a bald head because it looked great!! She looked great- WTF,..!! Same reaction here!! Great looking woman, human, being... we need to move on from all the idiotic baggage we all carry around wittingly or un-wittingly. I'm pretty sure.....

I just realized today that Molly has been living with a condition with her hair. Although I feel bad for her, it just makes me feel like she is even more awesome, unique, and more special than I realized.

Im 72, always been a blues picker, accoustic, then recently I came across the lovely young lady, talented, with the voice of an angel.. Molly you have a new fan. WOW.. and can she pick.. and very confident and brave to boot. In the immortal words o my daughter,, "You go girl".

Thank you for spreading the awareness of alopecia. Our 22 yr old son has alopecia areata. His started when he was quite young, as I begin to write this I think of the irony, he used to always want to wear a hat to cover it up, but as he got older he would only wear out of necessity, to guard from the sun. Now he happens to work at a custom hat factory.

Edit - just asked him to remind me, he was 5 when diagnosed, lost all his hair except eye lashes, so kept it from being ‘alopecia universalis’ by age 6

Alopecia areota is no joke. I suffered through it about 20 years ago. For her to snatch off that wig and embrace it in a live performance was monumental! Molly is a badass!

I saw the band on Jimmy Kimmel Live and enjoyed them very much. I had not heard of them prior to this. The lyrics to Crooked Tree pulled me in. It was very touching. I will continue to follow them.
