I agree and surrounding herself with equally as talented musicians makes Golden Highway the greatest bluegrass band going if not of all time. My folks would often watch some of the classic bands on TV when they would come on in the '60s, I'd go back in my room and put on a Jimi Hendrix album.

Molly and her band are just incredible. How they manage timing, phrasing, intensity, it doesn't matter if you don't like or you don't know about bluegrass, you surely will love it when you see and listen to these amazing band

I mentioned to a friend that I didn't like nu country, but loved bluegrass, and how I loved Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, so he introduced me to Billy Strings, and one of his live performances has a pretty lady who absolutely slayed it on guitar, and now here I am. I'm a metalhead, so not too familiar with different artists in this genre, but if Molly and Billy are performing, I have hope for this country (no pun intended).
Young performers are revitalizing Bluegrass in a way other players of traditional music haven't managed to do - and Molly and Billy are just as good as it gets.
OMG she gave the double bass a spotlight! You NEVER see that in bluegrass. That was awesome! Shelby deserves a spotlight. She holds it down and harmonizes with Molly wonderfully.
My dad worked for White Motor Company from 1936, when he was 16, starting as an apprentice machinist. After serving in the war, he worked there 'til '66, when we moved south. The title of the tune hooked me from the get go, but Molly and Golden Highway would have reeled me in anyhow.
Same reason we don't hear Larkin Poe, Madison Cunningham, Dori Freeman, Tyler Bryant And The Shakedown, and many others. Music business is lazy and promotes acts they can manipulate for money.
Saw her last night at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara and they really kicked out the jams on this song. The Lobero is a lovely, intimate place, perfect for her style of music. She was fabulous and by the end we were all up and dancing in the aisles. Her guitar skills, so impressive on RUclips, are nothing less than jaw-dropping live. She had these same backing musicians and they are each wonders in their own right. The type of show that leaves you grinning and stomping your feet from start to finish.
