    it's amazing how easy it is to go from a 20 year old rave kid to 33 year old bluegrass enthusiast. they both have almost the same driving beat that just gets into your head. only difference is techno doesn't have the awesome vocals and all the guitar/mando/banjo/shredding. maybe it's inevitable that i'd get obsessed with this stuff being from tn and all.

In the early 80's, not long after White had collapsed from financial malfeasence, I was sent by my university to see what equipment might be of use to our new thermodynamics research facility. Most of it was arcane and/or too large, made for massive diesel testing. But what a magnificent structure. A Great Pyramid to the 20th century, a world leader in technology, the birthplace of the mighty White FreightLiner. I spent days there, in awe. I'm a believer, I got the Freightlner Fever.

    • @greenfinmusic5142
      @greenfinmusic5142 Год назад +2

      @@lucyritz6382 Yes it's probably less physically stressful, but it also showcases the recipe for speed and accuracy, which is to play with the absolute minimum amount of movement. It also shows off her incredible knowledge and skill: the better a player knows what they want to do, the less movement they need to accomplish the action. She's a true master. In comparison, my arm and picking are more discombobulated, which is part of why I'm slower, more inconsistent, and make more mistakes :)

I know this guitarist Gabriella Quevedo has played with Tommy Emmanuel, and I'd love to see all of you together, even though I know one is a finger picker and the others are flat pickers. I'm old and had to set my dreams aside and apply my hands to other work. I could never compare, but an old guitar walked me through some difficult times, but often sat gathering dust until I picked her up and held her. I'm 72 years old and although I could never in my wildest dreams even come close. She's still waits on me and seldom complains when I feel the need to caress her neck. I never was a Saturday night hero either, but without a dream's the world be without color. Amazing, you are both amazing.

    It's amazing that two people with that much skill are on the planet at the same time - let alone in the same room. Really fantastic!

    Seems to me her singing just gets better and better with time. She's always been good, but there is a smoothness to this that is just fantastic!

    Epic. Can’t help but grin through the whole thing. Love how Tommy always seems to be having a blast when he’s performing, and Molly’s vocal and guitar playing are awesome.

    It hit me in the gut when Ms. Molly didn't get new artist of the year at the whacky grammy's... This really shows her talent.

      She won bluegrass album of the year so I think she did pretty well.

      I've been listening to her for 5 years. Don't think she's really a new artist. I was surprised she was in that category.

      Most new artists aren’t new, just getting more attention, or having a big hit or album that is generating buzz.
