I made the mistake of playing this video over my computer speakers. Apparently my Yamaha, Guild, and custom James Moeykens "Baby Grand" guitars, all heard how an acoustic guitar can actually be played. Consequently, they immediately grew legs, grabbed their hobo sticks and were out the door before I knew it. Miss Tuttle, someday they will find your door and knock on it. I suggest you let them in, and do not attempt to send them back because they will have found guitar heaven!
My guitars didn't run away...they ran to a corner of my room, where they continue to sit and sulk and refuse to play up to their potential! Cheers\=/\=/
I never get tired of watching/listening to Molly play. Her love for music and respect for her audience radiates helping to further elevate her performances. I love this video for her childish enthusiasm for the new Martin. (Of course, who wouldn’t be childishly enthusiastic!). As she plays she further connects with the instrument. Truly a pleasure to watch!
Wow! a beautiful guitar that couldn’t have gone to a more deserving player. Molly had that wood vibrating more than the day the tree was cut down. Each one of those musicians are fantastic.👍🇨🇦👍
Talk about “greased lightning”!!!wow!!! All of you are wizards of your instruments…Molly, I listened to your description of buying your first D28, was it at Draper’s music store? Or there was another acoustic guitar store , I forgot the name of it. They put a pickup in my D41, that would have been in the 70’s. Alas, I no longer have that guitar…
Wow! What a honor! She is , definitely, worthy! Martin pulled all the stops to make that beauty! Congrats Molly! I hear essence of Tony Rice when she plays.
Ms. Molly certainly knows how to rise up above and beyond for such a special occasion- Bonnie Raitt wig, killer outfit and then she TEARS into an incendiary “White Freightliner” on a guitar she’s just getting to know- and what a beautiful Martin it is- with crooked tree back and sides (hard to see the custom inlays). I wouldn’t blame her one bit if she decided to keep it off the road and safe in her living room- it’s already priceless!
It’s so great to have these fresh new faces representing Bluegrass music. Molly and crew have propelled it into a whole new generation of fans. Bluegrass is alive and well.
Molly, I met you in Preston Thompsons luthiery, after watching you play at the Sisters Music Festival... 2013 maybe? You were so young, and shy, and humble... but you already had the best right hand in the business. Your singing had not developed yet, but you have become the vocal goddess I knew you were destined to be. Congrats on the Martin Signature Guitar... that's a real honor.
I wasn't into country music, bluegrass and all that jazz until unexpectedly, I stumbled on Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway playing their cover of White rabbit. I loved it and from that, I started to watch and listen to more stuff from them... I discovered a highly talented musician with a lot of humor and a great band playing an amazing music. I'm glad I found them because it's been increasingly difficult to find and hear bands proposing music I find refreshing and that sounds new to my ears.
The Tuttle family band included the lovely AJ Lee, now of AJ Lee and Blue summit. Her channel has many videos of them all performing going back more than a decade. AJ is fabulous too! Check her out!
If there is a sweeter sounding guitar than Martin I have not heard it! Stephen Stills playing on Helplessly Hoping and Dan Fogelberg playing on Leader of the Band are two fine examples. Love Love the tone on a Martin… 💕🎼💕
love Molly and love the tribute to the folks at Martin.....they've made many a guitar players dreams come true out loud. Every player can tell you stories about the guitars in their dreams.........

Good for you GIRL !!!! I have lusted for a 0042 all koa like I played at Martin back at the last owners meeting in 2012 !! Good for you Molly you are one of the best on the planet ! I always lock my door when you are playing cause my guitars want to jump off the wall and run out the door!!
🙏what a wonderful post of such a special occasion, couldn't help but think of the story Robbie Robertson told about the origin of the 1st line of The Weight. fell in love with MTuttle when heard her duet w/BStrings covering the truly immortal Nanci Griffith's Listen To The Radio. thanks so much for the enjoyment.
I would say there is no better song to play first than “White Freight Liner Blues” by the amazingly under-appreciatedTownes Van Zant. It’s got two colors in the title. I think he did that on purpose. Molly Tuttle makes me want to time travel and take guitar lessons, but I know it’s all natural talent for her. An extraordinary musician with all the humility and grace of the bluegrass tradition. I might just buy one of those Martins.
New guitar day! AWESOME! Im obsessed with guitars too, but cant play well. I play, but you, Molly, are a virtuoso, so its pleasing to me, a huge fan, that we have guitar aquisition syndrome, at least, in common. Thanks for the glympse of the new Martin.
That new Martin Guitar she got has a really cool back and sides on it, I'd really like to know what it is. Big Martin fan and her playing is just amazing.
The artist, and the instrument, and the player: all beautiful.

Mine jumped out the window and hung themselves but I was lucky they were Gibsons so the headstock broke and saved them.
Yeah if I could pick one guitarist I’d like to be able to play as well as it’d be her. My guitar are trying to get out as well.
Martin should promote this video. Their investment is in the future and Molly's example should inspire anyone who loves music.
