I love this tutorial though a point for anyone who needs to hear this, you can start with a magic ring for the center too! I found that to be easier for me.
I just wanted to thank you. I am 38 yo and just now starting to teach myself crochet. You are very easy to follow and your voice is calming when I get frustrated with myself lol
U should open up a crochet lesson like people can come to you and learn, they will be done and dusted in no time, cause of how well you explain it thank you so much ❤❤❤
If you find your tension is a little looser you could indeed either size up your yarn or down in hook size. It depends what I have available in my my yarn stash.
how do you finish it off, as in, freeing your work from the hook? Sorry I have no idea what terms to use to define/ describe this final passage as I'm an absolute beginner
If you snip your yarn leaving a tail about 6 inches and then pull that through the loop on your hook to create a little knot. You can then weave your end in using a large blunt needle or your crochet hook. If you weave it along the back of the coaster to the centre and meet up with your tail from the beginning, you can then tie these together to secure and then snip off the ends. Hope that helps ☺️
LOL! I'm making this right now, but I had to leave a comment because as hard as I try to distance my cat from my crochet, there's always cat hair in my yarn. I guess it's inevitable when you have cat haha.
It was going really well untol suddenly it wasnt! At some point it just became a mess of holes and much more circular than square... ah well, practise practise practise!
I love how you've simplified all the steps and I totally like how to explain stuff. You're amazing
