    Hi, thank you for the tutorial! this looks really pretty! If I want to have 2 more rows for this coaster, should I make 1 double croche in the first stitch and 3 double croche in the second croche in the next row?

      Thank you, I'm glad you like it! Here's what to do to add more rounds:
      Round 4: [1 dc blo in first 2 st/s, 2 dc blo in the third st] repeat that around (48)
      Round 5: [1 dc blo in first 3 st/s, 2 dc blo in the fourth st] repeat that around (60)
      Round 6: zig zag border as shown in the video
      I also have this pattern published as the zig zag trivet which is a larger size of the coaster! You can shop the pattern here: dogwoodcrochetus.etsy.com/listing/1524505353/crochet-pattern-zig-zag-trivet-crochet
      I hope this helps!

      I would guess it has to do with your tension. Try making the stitches a bit looser as you crochet them and that should help!

    I love this tutorial! So we’ll explained. As an absolute beginner, thank you 🙏🏻
    I also love how you do your magic circle. I’ve not seen it like that before, and keeping my finger in the whole time made it the neatest circle I’ve done to date. But… I can’t get it to fully work. I have a huge loop from the circle hanging out at the bottom. And I pull and it goes nowhere. What am I missing?

    • @Dogwood.Crochet
      @Dogwood.Crochet  11 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear that you like the pattern and tutorial. For the magic circle, you will want to pull on the tail a little bit until one of the loops starts tightening. Once you find the one that starts tightening, pull on that loop to close the circle. Then you should be able to pull on your tail and the other loop will close. I hope this makes sense! Thanks

      Thank you, it worked! Also my yarn must be thinner than yours as it was still so small after three rounds so I added a fourth round and then did the zig zag border. I love it!
