    I woke up today and decided to unbury my mothers yarn stash and do a granny square sweater. I pulled up 8 tutorials before this one, all labeled "begginer" but I didn't know the terminology, so you showing what yarn over means is really appreciated. Thank you!

      I'm so glad the tutorial was helpful for you🥰, especially in clarifying the terminology and making the process more accessible for beginners. Learning crochet can indeed be a bit challenging at first, but once you get the hang of the basic terms and techniques, it becomes a wonderful and rewarding skill.
      If you ever come across more terms or techniques that you find confusing, don't hesitate to reach out for clarification.
      Best of luck with your granny square sweater project! If you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting! 🧶😊

    I am so glad i found this pattern. I started a project about a year ago. It's a pixelated skull granny square blanket. It Prompted me to have my husband dig out all of my yarn that has been in the crawl space of our house for upwards of a decade. I made the traditional holey granny squares, and made them too large. I also whip-stitched the rows tohether, and it looked awful. I put that project away for half a year or more. 🥺 I still wanted to make the blanket, but I needed a better plan. In comes this square! Made it with a smaller hook, and I am slip-stitching them together. Plus I am sewing in the tails as I go. The awesome part is, frogging an old square is more than enough yarn to make a new one! I am stoked at how the first row of this project is coming! You reignited the excitement for the project that got me crocheting, again!! Thank you so very much, and I hope you are having a fantastic day!!!

      Thank you so much🥰 I'm thrilled to hear that you found the pattern and that it has reignited your excitement for your project. It sounds like you've found a fantastic solution to breathe new life into your blanket. Repurposing yarn from your old squares is such a clever idea, and slip-stitching them together while sewing in the tails as you go will make the process much smoother. Thank you for sharing your journey with me, and I'm truly honored to have played a part in rekindling your passion for crocheting. If you ever need further assistance or just want to share more of your progress, feel free to reach out. Wishing you all the best with your blanket project, and I hope you have an absolutely fantastic day too! 🌟😊

    🧶 Round 1:
    Make a slip knot, and chain 5
    Slip stitch into the first chain to make a circle
    Chain 5, now do 3 double crochet into the circle
    Chain 2, now do 3 double crochet into the circle
    Chain 2, now do 3 double crochet into the circle
    Chain 2, now do 2 double crochet into the circle
    Slip stitch into the 3rd chain of your starting chain
    🧶 Row 2:
    Slip stitch into the chain space
    Chain 5, now do 2 double crochet into the space
    Now do one double crochet into the next 3 stitches
    In the next space, do 2 double crochet into the chain space, chain 2, do 2 double crochet into the chain space
    Now do a double crochet into the next three stitches
    Repeat until youve reached the first chain space youve done.
    Once youve reached the first space youve done, do one double crochet into the space, chain three and slip stitch into the 3rd chain of your first stitch
    🧶 Row 3:
    Slip stitch into the chain space, and chain 5.
    Do two double crochet into the chain space you're working on
    Repeat row 2, but work one double crochet into each stitch until you reach a corner (ex: for this row, 7 double crochet, make a corner, 7 double crochet, make a corner)

    Hi u are the best teacher ever you are not like one of those who use terms try to make us understand them step by step and then show them in a project you r the one who shows the types of stitches like double crochet and etcetera in a project and not teach it separately. I as an 11 yr old trying to crochet for the first time with no experience at all is feeling so good by having to do something aesthetic like to crochet I always knew how to stitch but I didn’t have anything to stitch and I saw this on my Pinterest and I saw like a thousand tutorials and did not understand a thing until I say yr video… professional crocheters should recommend ur channel as a platform to learn and if u have a website plz give its link and if not make one ! I’ll only watch ur videos to at least make a basic foundation of my crochet knowledge ur the bestttt😊

      That’s fantastic! I’m so glad you were able to make your first granny square-proud moments like that are what it’s all about! 😊 To close it up at the end, you can slip stitch into the first stitch of your last round to join. Then, just cut your yarn, leaving a tail, and pull it through the loop to secure it. Happy crocheting, and feel free to ask if you have more questions! 🧶❤️

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  2 месяца назад +1

      Great question! You can definitely use a magic circle instead of a chain circle, and many people prefer it because it creates a tighter center. It really depends on your personal preference and the look you’re going for. Both methods work well! If you’re comfortable with the magic circle, go for it! 😊🧶✨

    Can you please tell me which No. Needle should I use for Bulky Shaded Thick Wool.

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  10 месяцев назад

      You're very welcome! 🥰The needle size you should use for bulky shaded thick wool depends on your personal tension or gauge.
      For bulky yarn, you would typically use a larger hook or needle to achieve a looser, more open stitch. The recommended needle size is usually mentioned on the yarn label.
      Best of luck with your project😊

    I absolutely adore the concise tutorial I do have one question. What do you do to end the square? I'm confused by that part.

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  6 месяцев назад

      I'm delighted to hear you adore the tutorial! 🥰 To end the square, you can finish off by fastening off your yarn. After completing your final round, cut the yarn, leaving a tail of about 6 inches. Then, yarn over and pull the tail through the loop on your hook to secure it. Weave in the loose ends using a yarn needle to tidy up your work. If you need further clarification or have any more questions, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting! 🌟🧵

    The yarn you're using looks like it's easy to work with. I love the color.
    What brand of yarn is it?

      I'm glad you like the yarn! It’s super easy to work with and the color is one of my favorites too! 😊 I’m using Drops Big Merino in color no 6. 💖
