Well, honestly, Trunks has so much in common in Vegeta than people realize. Trunks is willing to die fighting just about as much as he is, and his pride may no come in the form of arrogance like his father, nor is it defined by his Saiyan heritage, but he proudly fights for Earth, to avenge his fallen comrades, and to honor his code as a warrior.

I really like moments like these in Super. Vegeta having interactions with other Saiyans since his people were wiped out and also Trunks coming back to see what has happened after he left and to see Gohan and again and to come across 18 and how much different she is than the 18 from his time and how she and 17 didn't have to turn out that way
he didnt really come back to see what happened in the other Timeline after he left. he come back because he needed their Help to defeat Black Goku.
They really need to have more races in dbz with personalities like Vegeta. Had "Nail" survived, he could have become similar to Vegeta for the Namekians. Wish they expanded on people like him and show cased more planets with "kings/queens/princes/princess" Lineage & a race in itself. Honestly, wish the human race was similar to sayians in regards to progress in a positive way. All humans really want to harm themselves, yet sayians push their kind to higher heights.

One of my biggest hopes is that Vegeta gets to visit Cabba's home planet, and interact with all of those sayians.

Vegeta really is the best saiyan teacher It's his job as the prince of saiyans He wants every remaining Saiyan offspring such as Gohan Goten trunks pan Bulla including Cabba to know what it means to be a Saiyan warrior And because of that Cabba was able to reach Super Saiyan 2 Goku is also a great teacher in his own way he doesn't care for about his Saiyan pride But he knows how important it is to Vegeta Goku still managed to help caulifla reach Super Saiyan 2
Goku also cares about his own pride as a warrior. Its just that he was raised like an earthling while vegeta as a saiyan
Spoiler: Goku had a change in the manga. He finally knows what true saiyan pride is and whats about it. He truly felt as a saiyan. I like how they went this route too in the Broly movie where Goku said to Broly „I am Goku, but Broly you can call me Kakarot!“. It is also an easteregg to old Broly.

I love that Vegeta's pride in himself is always secondary to the pride he has in his people. He only wants the Saiyans to succeed. Sure he still wants to be the best of them but when it comes down to it when other saiyans surpass him he is still proud of them i.e. Goku on Namek and Gohan fighting Cell.

I wasn’t exactly sure why as a kid, but Vegeta was always my favorite character. Now I understand that it’s because he’s arguably the realest character and has great depth.
Vegeta being a mentor is the best part of the series.
The fact that he cares this much about his pride, and is willing to through it away for the sake of his family, just shows how much he really cares.
Vegeta's the strongest point blank. There's a reason why he was able to unlock ssg and ssgss without the ritual to access god ki.

Sorta same hearing vegeta say those lines about strength while going through a difficult time. I grew up admiring future gohan and bardock for the same reasons but with time seeing that same growth from vegeta of never giving up no matter how tough or how far behind you are just drives home.

This just reenergized me for the semester. I was feeling like giving up on these classes since I'm at midterms and struggling a lot. Vegeta has always got me through all my physical training, I forgot to apply it to my academic work. Lets see how high we can climb.
Surrender is worse than defeat , because with defeat at least you know you gave it your all but your opposition was stronger . When you surrender you didn’t lose because the opposition was stronger than you , you lost because you think you yourself are just that weak and you lost the will to fight.
For those who want to know what happened after this, that jar was actually the evil containment wave jar and Cabba went kaioken super saiyan black and he got so dangerous that vegeta had to use the mafuba to seal him away and then they lived happily ever after.
