Long time TFS fans will remember that they once had serious beef with Sabat over merchandising rights because Funimation shut down their merch booths a few times. TFS even had to make an apology video after one of them flew off the handle, I think it was Lani if I recall correctly.
Sabat wanting to work together with them later in spite of this is nothing surprising. He is a manipulative sociopath, something that is a matter of historical fact backed up my large swaths of Funimation employees. It’s basically a common Sabat tactic to make you feel indebted to him because he has control issues. He probably realized that bullying TFS wasn’t a good look after their skyrocketing popularity and “changed his tune” to remain favorable in the public eye. Something he often does.
Sean on the other hand is too dumb to be manipulative and often picks fights with others seemingly at random when he isn’t throwing tantrums or being a massive fucking creep.
TFS Vegeta is actually more Vegeta than the real Vegeta
All their characters are more lively than their canon counterparts.

I love the fact that it implies that why Vegeta has been treating Trunks so badly and constantly provoking him is because he really wanted him to stand up to him and defend himself, but Trunks' kind and non-confrontational personality was ruining his plan. constantly, until he got what he wanted and that made him proud to be a father and his son.

He's not laughing because Vegeta is Trunks' dad. They earlier made a joke about Vegeta thinking Trunks is starring at him because he's gay then innocent Son Goku call Vegeta Trunks' daddy. Son Goku means "father" but Piccolo is laughing because "daddy" is also a term used in the gay community for the dominant man in the relationship

His pride would not allow him to think fondly on an offspring that wasn't strong willed like himself. The fact that Trunks stood up for himself against Vegeta showed the Prince that his Bloodline would indeed be strong. Which raised his pride in Trunks a great deal.

The "Does Gohan know" line was a lie. Trunks literally could not have saved Gohan. Cell knew that and was lying to trigger Trunks' PTSD and Survivor's Guilt.
Cell lied once and it gave him a vegeta to the stomach.

TFS makes you realize how good, absurd and comical the Z series really was. The way the events play out with characters personalities exaggerated (especially with Trunks involved) makes you see that the mindset of these characters. Even if it’s for shits and giggles they understood the assignment and if you ask me…. Brought the series back from a long hiatus.

It literally started as a gag manga, and the jokes continued well after that. Just look at the fight of Buu vs Gotenks. Even the big serious arc like Namek had enemies like the Ginyu force.
@@Baamthe25th it was equally based on combat and martial arts, if not more. Especially by the time it reached DBZ or the Androids/cell saga specifically, it became almost 80+% fighting-based.
I'm not saying it's only fighting, I'm saying that if DBZ was 3/4th fighting and rest humor, DBZA was 5/6 humor and rest action. So there's really no use in comparing the two, they can be considered to different genres tbh
