TFS Vegeta has so much personality, despite being a parody, he's still the same character as original, but with exaggerated comedy.
That’s something yes did well. Each charecter matches who they were originally while making them wayyy funnier

Vegeta’s “I’m…sorry…” hits extra hard in this adaptation, since Vegeta is extra insensitive and dickish to everyone. But, since he thought those would be his final moments (again…), he let his “Pride wall” down like with Krillin in E53, and showed compassion for once. You know what they say, you show who you *truly* are just before you die.
Gohan’s uncensored “Oh, we *are* fucked…” is one of the handful of times a fuck was uncensored in this show, and it really adds to the emotional weight.

Very true. With Freeza and Cell, he merely faced humiliation and realized he’s far from perfect. With Trunks’ blast, he sees the half breed he bore with a weak earthling becoming worthy of his respect, something he couldn’t experience until becoming a father.
Poor Vegeta, he went from overconfident to humbled so many many times.
And yet, he always builds back up. Vegeta was the true protagonist ever since the start of Z.
... just ignore some of the worse bits in Super where his arc regressed (until Moro, which acts like Namek redux, giving Veggie a chance to show his growth).

Frieza just slapped away his strongest attack, and cell not only tanked a final flash to the chest, but healed from it instantly then broke his spine. At least 18 had the decency to JUST beat the stuffing out of him, cell and frieza took the time to prove that he was nothing to them.

@@jamaalsjourney There's a scene where Goku is charging the spirit bomb and it cuts away to a deer and its fawn standing on a cliff. The deer's life force is drained by the spirit bomb and it collapses and dies. When Vegeta asks what smells like deer is a direct reference to that cut away gag. IIRC Freezer also says the same thing when he is about to be hit with the spirit bomb.

@@rejvaik00 I feel like that would only give them more material, but yeah I'm glad they stopped too because it's such a commitment to do another season and then they have to worry about Toei taking them down and all that crap they have to deal with with making new episodes. Like it will probably be another 20-30 episodes and as much as I would want that, I can understand not wanting to lock yourself into that.

Kinda interesting to think that for as much as everyone jokes/complains about everyone not named Goku and Vegeta being sidelined, it was really only a thing in the Buu Saga, the last arc in the series. Really, I feel like you could argue that a lot of the major issues people have with the series came from the Buu Saga.

Top 5 worst beat downs of Vegeta's life
1. Vegeta vs Final Form Frieza (on Namek) : Reason, he actually died.
2. Vegeta vs Android 18 : Reason, broke both his arms and his pride.
3. Vegeta vs Beast mode Zarbon (first fight) : Reason, got a train rain on his ass and left for dead at the bottom of a lake.
4. Vegeta vs Perfect Cell : Reason, let Cell transform and then paid the price for it.
5. Vegeta vs Goku, Gohan, Krillin and Yajirobe. : Reason, out of the five fights mentioned, he was still conscious at the end.
Everyone bullying the shit out of Vegeta is hilarious.
Funnily enough, in the original, Cell actually admits to Vegeta, that while he didn't think much of his attack Final Flash, it proved to be more powerful than he thought, and he actually had to dodge, at the last second or it would have killed him. So, had Cell actually not dodged, Vegeta would've won that one too. Like, I know Cell, in those days, was easily 10x stronger than Frieza, I mean, for God's sake, 17 and 18 were stronger than Frieza, which only makes sense, since Goku and company, had only gotten ALOT stronger since Frieza, to the point, for Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and even Gohan, Frieza was of no challenge. And I mean AFTER the training arc, like, when 19 and 20 (Gero) showed up. So, it makes sense that the androids are stronger, so, considering that, and the fact it took a Enraged SSJ2 Gohan to beat Cell, Vegeta's attack damn sure had waaaaaay too much power behind it.
The androids were 100 times stronger than Frieza according to Trunks when he met Goku for the first time

Lets take a moment to rejoice in the fact that THIS Vegeta voice actor is the official voice of Vegeta since Dragon Ball Super began. Its been a few years going strong now, and he is STILL the best Vegeta.
my favorite line was "Did anyone get the number of that bitch?," "18" "Thank you." kind of reminded me of the line "Did anyone catch the plates of that car" when a car almost kills someone in some comedy movies.
I think it's the almost-delirious tone in the delivery of the line.

It's funny because at 4:26... when he dials for his ship, at the time it seemed like something futuristic and from a world of fantasy. But now, decades later, its just downright relatable. Making Vegeta seem more realistic and down to earth.

I miss this series. I'm still bummed that they never did the Bu saga like they said they would. I understand they got burnt out and probably got tired of constantly fighting with copyright claims. But it's still a bummer
That's the only reason I'm disappointed they didn't do Buu. Because they said they would but later they were like "Nah." I get it they got tired of it but still. I still hold out hope that one day they come back and do the Buu Saga. Even if it's like a Kai version. Or that some other people come along with TFS's approval and do the Buu saga. (Writing etc) and possibly have TFS do the voices. It'd be much less work for them. They could even produce it to make sure it's still true to the vision they had
Honestly I’d love to see them come back and just do the Bojack film purely because of how they kept having Bojack talk with King Kai and the others so much. I think TFS Bojack film would be hilarious

I still can't get over the copyright claims! If not for this series I wouldn't even care about DBZ! If not for this series I wouldn't have paid it any mind and given up on even trying to watch it. It felt so long and drawn out but this made me appreciate it. Honestly the fact that they give credit to the original creators and owners of the rights should be enough. I'm NOT supporting the official release BECAUSE I know they gave TFS so much trouble. I'm one of those people that when I like something I buy all of the merch and obsess. I know it's not a ton of money but that's a few hundred dollars they won't see from me, ever.
'Twas a very bitter moment watching it through again, finishing part 3 of episode 30 and finding the video edited with the teaser for season 4 gone.
@@babydahl9424well if they don't copyright slap anything, even the stuff that doesn't harm the brand, then once someone that does misuse the IP gets slapped they can make claims like "why do you bully us and not them" for the IP holder it's easier to go after everyone
