    I've had my 19 ecoboost with performance pack for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it. Fully loaded even with the Recaro seats and still makes the most perfect and balanced daily driver that you can still have fun with

    No, it's not a V8, but I don't think this one sounds that bad. It certainly sounds better than most 4-cylinder engines out there. I own a 2016 GT by the way and I've never bought into all the negativity that gets shoveled on to everyone who chooses the Ecoboost or, on the 15-17 models, a V6. The first S550 I drove for any length of time was a V6 rental. I liked it! I'm glad I've got the V8 but would be just fine with either of the other engines if that's how it had worked out.

    I have both - a 19 Bullitt and a 22 EB for daily driving. Neither is better at everything. The GT is a great cruiser, handles like a charm - great car. The EB is better for daily driving in traffic, with the auto. I like the EB better in DC traffic and the Bullitt for weekend fun. Amazing how the only thing the two cars have in common is the body - they are different cars. So, i disagree with comparisons - apples and oranges. Haters are plain old uninformed. Buy what you like better and enjoy. Listening to negative and critical commentary is just a waste of time. Nice video.

    Just picked up my 2021 2.3 HP in “Yellow Peel” with the six speed manual. The High Performance version is the only four we get in Australia. We also get a 19” spare tyre as Ford Australia told America that we need spare tyres here, as you can easily be hours away from a decent tyre shop in rural and regional areas.
    It’s a fantastic car. We wanted the EcoBoost version. I could easily afford a V8, but wanted to be different. It also goes like stink. We test drove a V8 manual to see what the seating position was like, and honestly the V8 didn’t “feel” like it was worth the extra money to buy one (and it costs around $1200 a year to register a V8 in my state, whereas a four is only about $750 or so a year).
    I was also drawn to the fact that it’s built from the factory in the USA in right hand drive. Other American cars we get here now are brought here and then chopped up and converted to RHD, which has been causing some issues with the conversion and quality.
    The version we get here is loaded with all the fruit such as multi mode exhaust, full digital dash, body kit parts, etc etc, that are options in the USA.
    I love it…if you’re considering one, test drive one with an open mind,

      I feel bad for those who have to put up with V8 purists. I have a 69 with a 302 and even with the Holley sniper EFI I’m adding I’ll be lucky to get the same HP from a 22 model ecoboost. That said, having the 69 gives me a bigger excuse to get a 4 cylinder modern one to save on gas. It’s getting stupid crazy in California.

    I just bought a 2019 Bullitt. And, after looking thru the owner's manual, thought I'd jump on RUclips to see what features I'm missing. Which brings me to a funny story. We, the salesperson and myself, looked but could not find the owner's manual. He had a 2020 owners packet laying around so he gave that to me. Then, I watched this clip and wow, see the storage compartment hidden inside the glove box. Yep, the 2019 owner's manual and packet was there! Happy ending and appreciate the info!

      Jae it would come with most features but not all. That is; smaller screen size (no touch screen), stock rims,no ambient lightning, no center guages and Dual exhaust(not active) so they aren’t gonna be loud and you won’t be able to switch exhaust modes since it won’t be active

    • @musiccoversbytee4002
      @musiccoversbytee4002 4 года назад

      But the good thing is for a Mustang you get good horsepower and better gas mileage

    • @loopbacktranscriptions8207
      @loopbacktranscriptions8207 3 года назад +5

      I just bought an EcoBoost base model. It doesn't have the active exhaust but it has everything else. It's 30hp less powerful than the HPP version in this video but that's essentially negligible if you're just using it for everyday driving. It still comes with all of the driving modes (normal, sport+, track, drag strip, weather) and while you can't manually pick an active exhaust mode, each of those modes except for normal/weather sound really nice when you accelerate. Driving in normal is like being in a 10speed Mazda 6 that's way faster to accelerate. Sport+ gives you a slightly more dramatic feel and a louder exhaust sound than normal. Track is an absolute blast to drive and you get that nice turbo sound and a surprising engine roar from a 4cyl that feels great.
      The reality is the ecoboost base isn't going to be a track demon that people driving hellcat challengers will envy or something but as a day to day driver you're getting around 25 miles per gallon fuel efficiency with about double the horsepower of something like a civic, 50hp more than a subaru WRX even. The engine torque gives you that rollercoaster feeling when you really accelerate hard onto a highway or something so it's just a blast to drive.
      Sorry I know you posted this a year ago but maybe someone else will see my reply and check this car out.

    For people who wants to get this High Performance 2.3L, do yourself a favor and get Handling package. That way you don't feel like being robbed. You get more than just $1500. Don't know why people keep comparing ecoboost with gt. Ford makes ecoboost to target on broader customers not for competing 5.0. If you buy a GT just for street driving and not tracking it even once a year, you are wasting 460HP.

    • @lookahere
      @lookahere 3 года назад +11

      I agree with most of what you said here. However, I disagree with the part about wasting 460 HP if you use your GT as a daily street driver. Even with the Ecoboost, the majority of owners will rarely use the 300 plus HP it comes with either but it is damn sure fun regardless right? Same thing with the GT and many other cars for that matter. I've owned the 2018 Ecoboost and loved it. I have since traded it for the 2020 GT PP1 and I absolutely love it as well. I have raced a few Chargers, Challengers and Camaros using every bit of the 460 HP I could which was fun as hell. Lol! But I am just as happy cruising around in it with the occasional sprint from a stoplight too. Waisting 460 HP? Nah. Enjoying an incredible package from Ford while knowing that you've got 460 horses on tap when you want it? Hell yeah!
