  • I know you're disappointed that I didn't go with COILOVERS. Definitely was not ready for all of the roadblocks I've encountered with this Swift Springs install and it's not their fault. I'm just terribly incompetent.

    Bruh…. Lowering springs are better than coilovers for a lot of reasons. Most people don’t know how to setup ride height, don’t corner balance their vehicle or even know that’s a thing, and definitely don’t know how to tune the dampers if they’re adjustable. Just get some Koni yellow shocks and put the on setting 3, adjustable camber arms, bolt eccentric kit for toe on the rear, and be done with suspension. Coilovers would be a waste of $$$. Only real pro to Coilovers is as long as you get true style Coilovers you can eliminate the spring bucket in the rear and fit a wider rear tire. Besides that…. Meh. You can still fit a 305/40/19 rear tire and just need to roll the fender…. Plenty wide.

      Exactly my thoughts! Definitely considered koni yellows but I'll just wait when the shocks needed to be replaced. Plus I'm not really too keen on doing coilover maintenance

    I just copped mine unused for $180 for my 370! Can't wait to play.

    HI. How are these holding up? Any issues like uneven tire wear? And did you have to get a camber kit to correct the alignment specs?

    • @ItsEricVenzon

      Hey! I was about to do a 1 year review about this! No issues and so far so good. Will definitely need some rear camber arms and my alignment is in here: ruclips.net/video/0ntb7sH9ytw/видео.html

    Felt any difference in driving? Is it good in handeling ? Stuck between coils and springs. It’s hard decision

    • @ItsEricVenzon
      @ItsEricVenzon  3 года назад +2

      Very difficult decision for sure. It feels OEM, not as bouncy but not as stiff and you get enough drop especially in my place where road sucks. I'm going to do a review with these sometime this year.

      Does it bottom out easily? I just got mine but was a bit worried about the amount of drop with less than an inch left

    I really love this series so far :) It's nice to see some real action going on. Someone who is just figuring it out along the way, making mistakes, trying to fix them. Makes me feel very connected. Can't wait what the next videos have in store :)

    How did you adjust the top hat for the springs ? I got some ARK springs and the strut is off hella. Like 30 degrees off. Are you supposed to rotate the thing ? I have no idea on what to do

    • @ItsEricVenzon
      @ItsEricVenzon  3 месяца назад

      Technically you should realign and reinstall it on how you took it down. In my case, I forgot to do that so my front passenger is a tad off plus with whatever happened to my endlink. There's not a whole lot of OEM adjust with the top hat strut.

    I’m experiencing the same nightmare. Didn’t align the top hat on the strut correctly so now I’m having hell lol. Did you use those hand compressors for the swifts?

    • @ItsEricVenzon
      @ItsEricVenzon  3 года назад

      Big oops. I actually ended up getting help from a friend in a shop that has a stationary compressor hence the time jump cut haha. They saw me struggling to use the hand compressor. Still doable tho

      @@ItsEricVenzon ah yeah I’m going to do the same. There just isn’t enough open spring on the swifts/eibachs for the hand compressors to grab on to. Well thanks for the quick response. We live and learn!
