More criminally underrated characters (to me at least): Urien Rakarth- the Drukhari who may or may not be the first of the Haemonculi, the one who actually taught Fabius Bile some of his stuff, and possibly one of the oldest and most horrifically evil entities in the galaxy. He has died and come back to life so many times now that even it is boring to him. Pedro Kantor- one of the few Space Marines defined not by triumph, but by defeat, and by how he and his chapter survived despite the odds and rose to become better after their defeat The Deathleaper- a Tyranid that literally toys with its victims, driving them to paranoia and terror before finally finishing them off Aun'shi-- an Ethereal who actually got into melee with Orks and won; one of the few Ethereals whom even the Farsight Enclaves have any respect for Nork Deddog- the most loyal Ogryn in the Imperium, who once headbutted an Ork Warboss to death Also, in memory of awesome characters who are no longer with us: Duke Sliscus, Kheradruakh, Lady Malys, Lukas Bastonne, Mogul Kamir, Captain Al'Rahem
@@gerardmontgomery280 Actually, that mentality better serves another long-last special character, Captain Cortez. The dude literally shrugged off every single injury, and was thought to be unkillable. That being said, both Kantor and Cortez epitomize one important aspect about the Crimson Fists: they never. Give. Up. No matter how bad things are going for them. They are the Mumen Rider of the Space Marines.
I feel Corswain requires some recognition. As a marine who almost strangled Curze to death, commanded half of one of the scariest legions and possibly saved Terra by relighting the Astronomicon (haven't read the Siege of Terra books to know how this last part is going)
Eldar are a pretty dope faction and they're definitely criminally underrated and the true underdog of the setting. Eldar constantly get worfed almost as bad as their avatar of the God of war. Imagine every time a baneblade showed up in a book it gets immediately destroyed by a named character even tho it's ment to be one of your most powerful units. As far as being the underdog of the setting well they can't afford to throw bodies at the problem like the guard does, they don't have super durable armor and they have to punch above thier weight class constantly while minimizing casualties against forces like space marines, nids and guard. And to make things even worse in order for new eldar babies to be born rangers need to make an expidition to a DAEMON INFESTED crone world to find even a handful of spirit stones for the next generation.
@@FontaineLovers tons of people love the Eldar and are desperate for GW to expand on their rich, deep and complex lore... not me however, can't stand the arrogant, knife-eared basterds.
Leo from the Marchius omnibus is pretty badass for the mere fact he bang a shapeshifting assassin numerous times, and was a personal bodyguard for the Lord Solar, and he fought in innumerable battle and survived throughout ten years of unending war, and by the end of his years he was seen as a legendary hero for the rest of his life.
knock knock. Hi, it's the inqui...incredible tasty pizza delivery service. We would like to chat with you about a totally harmless nurse who was no assassin and had absolutely no role in saint Macharius dying as a martyr of the imperium.
The whole Night Lords trilogy was lit af. The Konrad primarch book is great, also. Never thought I'd feel sympathetic towards him, but Guy Haley sold me on it.
Interesting thing but It seems like Huron has a chance at either getting a new mini, Or Suffering a Vect, Since GW are seemingly putting *BOTH* His Forgeworld and Finecast minis on Range Rotation. Here's hoping the Tyrant of Badab's getting more love!
I feel like it's almost cheating to include a character from the Nightlords series, given how ADB seems to basically drain the life force and likability out of every single loyalist and side character, in order to pump it into whatever named chaos character is currently on-screen. Usually Sevatar, who is admittedly pretty fuckin' great.
@@Prophetofthe8thLegion If they're currently frenzying? Sure. When not? They literally actively go out of their way to be noble and restrained in order to avoid getting a reputation as a bunch of maddened berserkers.

In context, it's a lot less "OH MY GOD! VULKAN'S A MONSTER!" and a lot more "God damn, Kurze is really good at this whole "torturing Vulkan" thing."
I was actually reading "Blood Reaver" yesterday and dude I LOVED the scene between Talos and Huron when Tally-boy just verbally EVISCERATES him and Huron essentially responds with "Lol dude I like you"
Talos is a competent Chaos Marine who uses real leadership and a reasonable skill set rather then plot armor to say around? Sounds like myth Major... :)
Honestly I think the reason Yriel doesn't have much respect on his name is because he hasn't done much in years, and so the fans don't really pay attention to him despite his old lore being dope.
I don't like Abaddon, but if I remember right, Abaddon always planned to shoot Talos, he wanted him to pledge himself to one of the Chaos gods and become his puppet seer - cause Talos despises the chaos gods and those who follow them. The fact that he was sassy with Abby was just extra sauce.
Vorx is quite underrated. Death guard chaos warlord who has kind of demented old man vibe to him to fool people but is actually pretty cunning. He's also quite chill and had some cute moments with nurglings, reminding me of Mandalorian and baby yoda XD
Sadly I heard they are discontinuing Huron Blackhearts model. There are images that people believe that they are making a new model of him. But it would be sad if GW decides to just remove him completely from the setting because he isn’t a character from a Heresy Legion.
The will never remove him completely from the setting. Too popular to kill. But yes his old ass model with the grim Lin monkey is getting removed and remade
That claw with the flamer that they teased months ago could be from a new Huron model, just saying. We all assumed that it was a new daemon engine or something like that, but a new Huron model would be sweet af.
Vorx is also an underrated characterfor many of the same reasons as Huron. Vorx isn't interested in any higher status, but he's an excellent commander and quite likeable for a chaos marine.
Let's gooo majokill keep up the good work absolutely love you're videos defoo make me laugh when I watch them and learn so much about 40k keep it up bro 💪💪
Hell yea Majorkill!!! I bought the spartan. Looks sick. Looking forward to it. Thank you! I first started learning about Warhammer from your videos. And ive been watching consistently for a few months now... I love Warhammer so much after learning about it. Youre killing it bro. By far one of my favorite channels!
Bro, I may be an Imperial loyalist at heart, but I do enjoy me some good and well-written Eldar lore. They are criminally underrated, but you're not alone.
I just want to say I’m loving your videos! I just recently (like in the past 2 months) started getting into 40k after watching Astartes, and I’ve become really interested in the lore. With how much lore there is, I had no idea where to start. Just as in another comment I’ve seen, the other 40k RUclipsrs had videos that were very detailed and were long drawn out (not that it’s bad thing, just not for me). I really love your enthusiasm and how to cover the topic in a good summary that makes it easy for my monke brain to understand! Thank you for your work and I look forward to continue watching your videos!
I like how you keep bringing up Huron basically being a better war master XD Not only cause they're better written (Like legitimately a Black Crusade was Abaddon literally letting a DAEMON DRIVE HIS FLEET INTO ORKS FOR SOME REASON???) compared to Huron. Plus despite Abaddon's rules on Tabletop, his legion is kinda shit, his army wide bonus is shit, his relics are garbage, and his melee can either be a mix of "Okay" to "Horrible" cause his main weapon is just some underwhelming weapon USED BY FUCKING HORUS OF ALL PEOPLE or a daemon sword that doesn't do shit.
Huron only has 15k Marines at the most. He was a coward who didn't execute an imprisoned Guilliman. Abaddon has anywhere between 565k Marines to Two MILLION
I've found some artifacts to be useful, like Angelbane on anyone with a combi-bolter, or the Eye of Night on Vex Machinator. But I agree, Black Legion's trait is god awful, since CSM have a high leadership to begin with
The reason why there are many underrated awesome 40k characters is because those characters are not making money for GW in model sales unlike papa G and the ultramarines The reason why Abaddon still relevant is because players love beating him in every way
Hey majorkill literally as soon as you said the minis were on sale I went too buy them😂 they are looking badass and amazing as always keep up the amazing work man As always PRASE THE BIG SHARK DADDY!!!
Ay, Talos! Honestly, the Night Lords in the trilogy are great. Talos takes center stage of course, but the general dynamic between all of them is hilarious.
Was so angry to find out that Uzas the insane was blamed for things he didn't do. And Talos had a hunch about it the whole time. All snakes till the end! 😂 Still he managed to humanize Uzas and you got to have sympathy for Uzas give it seems the inner conflict of falling to Khornes rage is a real strain on the soul. And to show it's a risk to the rest of the crew was well done.
@@agentmaine4746 yeah In the end Talos still believed in Uzas that there was some sort of "good" left in that psychotic rage. That's what made them both special in my book. Uzas seemed to listen to Talos in his worst moments. Pretty brotherly stuff.
I'm so happy you included Barabus Dantioch. (don't know if that's spelled correctly, I listened to the audiobook) Little extra Barabus lore for those who don't know him. During his work on the Pharos device, his closest companion was an Imperial Fist. There were hundreds of individuals working on the Pharos, but it was Barabus himself that learned how the Pharos worked and how to operate it; with emotion. An Iron Warrior, learned to use his emotions as a tool to operate the Pharos. He prevented traitor forces from learning how the Pharos worked. And during all of this, Barabus was in a heightened state of torturous agony due to his previous trials and injuries that he wouldn't get tended. He took this pain willingly as penance for his traitor legion, without telling a soul. Barabus is about the only thing from the Iron Warriors that I like and I put him right next to Rylanor in terms of legendary heroes. Did not expect you to mention him here. Big thanks.
When talking about under rated Eldar honorable mention goes to Belanna from the lords of mars trilogy, her farseer abilities were second to none and she saved the entire galaxy from Telok the Mad Magos.
I made my homebrew chapter a loyalist Iron Warriors chapter because Barabas is so much of a beast. Reading the lore involving the Iron Warriors made me appreciate the legion so much more and allowed me to discover of that absolute unit and all his crazy feats of his service.
Id love to listen to a story about Huron Blackheart and Abbadon fighting some Tau together as a joint force, but both end up trying to kill each other because they cant stand each other's methods. Like, Huron hates Abbadon's wastefullness when it comes to the talents of his allies, but Abby hates Huron for his willfullness to waste time planning when the objective is all that matters and show how each is right and wrong. Fuck it, i might even try to write it.
The Tau aren’t nearly enough of a threat to Chaos as other factions are. It’d be better to have Abbadon & Huron try to team up & conquer an Imperial system on the outskirts or frontier of Imperial territory. That way, it would justify having Abaddon & Huron team up to conquer such a region.
Maybe the Tau have something thats important to both characters, like maybe they are studying a chaos artifact thats been moved to a Sept world where an important etherial is visiting. They both agree to work together out of a form of mutual respect at first, but as the war rages on, it becomes apparent that they straight up cant work together as their methods are too different, culminating in a duel over the artifact which only ends because the Tau called for reenforcments from multiple worlds as they think the marines are after the etherial.
Watching Luetins videos (majorkill later) is what got me interested into the 40k universe but it was the night lords trilogy which got me invested into 40k. That trilogy of books were the first 40k books i read and man they were so good. Since then my addiction has only gotten worse.
I just finished Pharos by Guy Haley, the novel where Dantioch operates the Pharos device. The real kick in the nuts is after Dantioch dies, in the epilogue it is revealed that by overloading the Pharos device it results in sending out a pulse so far that is detected by the Great Devourer(the 'nids!), who start their 10k year journey towards the Imperium. The dying pulse of the Pharos device is the whole reason that they even learn of our existence.
Talos and the Soul Hunter books are what made me fall in love with the Night Lords. He and the books really showed how unique the night lords are in comparison to the rest of the traitor legions
I'm gonna nominate the Ultramarine Cato Sicarius, Knight Champion of Macragge, for the most underrated character, as he, Cato Sicarius, is the greatest of them all, a fantastic tactician, and an extremely competent warrior, I know all of this, because Cato Sicarius told me
I don't know if he is underrated but i really like Commissar Cain and i think he is an awesome character and quite unique. but i mainly like to read stories about people who are not spacemarines, even though spacemarines are dope AF. I just like some lighthearted stuff in my stories about death destruction and damnation.
The trilogy of the night lords (Talos) is hands down one of my favorite SM novels. So many of the loyalist chapters its just Brother!-For the emp-Brother!-Kill the heretics-Brother! and just blends together into surface feeling character development. The Night lords trilogy and the eisenhorn/Ravenor novels are so damned good though love the character development in those
So glad my boi Barabas Dantioch was included. Definitely my favourite traitor legion loyalist. Garro is pretty cool too though. And Iacton Qruze; the old bastard too stubborn to turn traitor.
pleasantly surprised, I watched this video fully expecting that you couldn't show me any new heroes to be praised. But now I need to read up lore on 2 of them. Thank you :D
I find it interesting how you can see from what times Huron and Abbadon came from. Abbadon uses his SM like they were still a legion and uses power. Huron comes from a chapter, who had limited options and had to micro manage his forces
I think a civil war between the chaos factions with Huron against Abandon would be cool, it could allow GW to focus more on other releases with an in lore explanation, it could also be a great way for new chaos stuff to appear.
Talos is dead though, he did have a gene son that was the product of his slave and the ship’s navigator. His son is even more of a badass with more crazy warp future telling abilities because of his mom and being raised by the sadistic ship space marine doctor dude
I think he was just Psyker marine. The navigator and the serf lived on Terra with their child. Plus raiding Terra is impossible and Navigator is automatic disqualification for marine creation.
Damn son. Of all the weeks to have to replace my alternator, it’s when a limited mini is beastly looking and pretty damn cheap 😂another amazing vid though man!
The Avatar of Khaine is a criminally underrated character. A cool idea I have is that the Ynnari (or another Eldar faction like the Harlequins, hell maybe the shards themselves) could try to reassemble enough shards to fully restore the Bloody-Handed God to break into Slaanesh’s palace. We could have an epic duel between Khaine and Slaanesh, maybe even a round 2 with Khorne.
Mephiston cheif librarian of the Blood angles is an actual goat during the events of The Devestation of Baal and i highly recommend people read it hes so fucking badass
The reason why Talos was so likable is not because of GW but because of its original author, Aaron Dembski-Bowden. Talos, Argel Tal, Lotara Sarrin, Cyrene Valantion, Lhorke, Esca... So many nuanced and interesting "evil" characters that guy created. Also some of the most memorable and well written female characters in 40k. Even Kharn and Erebus became enjoyable, even fucking Angron made me feel for him in the novel Betrayer. Can't wait to see what new badass characters that guy is gonna create in the coming years ! btw cool video content, dude ;) I appreciate your humor.
And who can say the Tyranids haven’t made things more interesting? As far as I’m concerned that’s a point in his favor, not only a chad, but he develops the setting.

More criminally underrated characters (to me at least):
Urien Rakarth- the Drukhari who may or may not be the first of the Haemonculi, the one who actually taught Fabius Bile some of his stuff, and possibly one of the oldest and most horrifically evil entities in the galaxy. He has died and come back to life so many times now that even it is boring to him.
Pedro Kantor- one of the few Space Marines defined not by triumph, but by defeat, and by how he and his chapter survived despite the odds and rose to become better after their defeat
The Deathleaper- a Tyranid that literally toys with its victims, driving them to paranoia and terror before finally finishing them off
Aun'shi-- an Ethereal who actually got into melee with Orks and won; one of the few Ethereals whom even the Farsight Enclaves have any respect for
Nork Deddog- the most loyal Ogryn in the Imperium, who once headbutted an Ork Warboss to death
Also, in memory of awesome characters who are no longer with us: Duke Sliscus, Kheradruakh, Lady Malys, Lukas Bastonne, Mogul Kamir, Captain Al'Rahem
I'm imagine Pedro Kantor pulling a Captain America, I can do this all day moment.
@@gerardmontgomery280 Emperor dammit, this is wicked. Can someone with drawing talent make it happen?
@@gerardmontgomery280 Actually, that mentality better serves another long-last special character, Captain Cortez. The dude literally shrugged off every single injury, and was thought to be unkillable.
That being said, both Kantor and Cortez epitomize one important aspect about the Crimson Fists: they
never. Give. Up. No matter how bad things are going for them. They are the Mumen Rider of the Space Marines.
Nork. I vote Nork. Sounds like the orginal inspiration to Destiny's Titan class.
Aun'shi seems pretty interesting

Eldar are a pretty dope faction and they're definitely criminally underrated and the true underdog of the setting. Eldar constantly get worfed almost as bad as their avatar of the God of war. Imagine every time a baneblade showed up in a book it gets immediately destroyed by a named character even tho it's ment to be one of your most powerful units. As far as being the underdog of the setting well they can't afford to throw bodies at the problem like the guard does, they don't have super durable armor and they have to punch above thier weight class constantly while minimizing casualties against forces like space marines, nids and guard. And to make things even worse in order for new eldar babies to be born rangers need to make an expidition to a DAEMON INFESTED crone world to find even a handful of spirit stones for the next generation.
who cares about eldar?

He was the only Primarch to receive no nurture.
I just finished the Night Lords Omnibus earlier this year. Good call on putting Talos in the list. ADB wrote some likeable bad guys for sure.

They are my favourite book series in 40k, ( without including the Horus heresy) eisenhorn is in a close second.
Do you think a blood angel wouldn’t rip apart a traitor legion serf even if they were a child?
@@Prophetofthe8thLegion If they're currently frenzying? Sure. When not? They literally actively go out of their way to be noble and restrained in order to avoid getting a reputation as a bunch of maddened berserkers.

@@Prophetofthe8thLegion Really? They're the same? Are you sure, person whose name is a reference to Kurze's boys? Are you entirely sure you may not have some biases in one direction over the other? Just a teeny tiny preference for one side.
And the Vulkan thing is such a goddamn meme at this point, cause it's just "AHA! Even the primarch who cares for people more than the rest is a monster!" like, bruh, the "child" was a young adult, AND ELDAR, which means little Timmy was, like, 80 when he got acquainted to the underside of Vulkan's boot, had just raided imperial space killing and torturing the people Vulkan cares about aaaaaaaaaand the big man was fresh off of being psychologically waterboarded by edgier Batman. In context, it's a lot less "OH MY GOD! VULKAN'S A MONSTER!" and a lot more "God damn, Kurze is really good at this whole "torturing Vulkan" thing."
I was actually reading "Blood Reaver" yesterday and dude I LOVED the scene between Talos and Huron when Tally-boy just verbally EVISCERATES him and Huron essentially responds with "Lol dude I like you"
The Night Lords trilogy is just one of the best trilogies ever. It’s the sole reason why I like the Night Lords.
Talos is a competent Chaos Marine who uses real leadership and a reasonable skill set rather then plot armor to say around? Sounds like myth Major... :)

Also having an aquila on his chestplate makes him one of the biggest trolls in the galaxy.
I love getting off work to find a new Majorkill video fuck yeah man
man I subed to you when you were at 25k subs it's crazy how far you have come in such short time
Prince Yriel has been one of my favorites but I didn’t know about the rest of his story which now that I do makes me like the badass even more!
"be my little psyker bitch boy" "fuck you" *BANG*
Vorx is quite underrated. Death guard chaos warlord who has kind of demented old man vibe to him to fool people but is actually pretty cunning. He's also quite chill and had some cute moments with nurglings, reminding me of Mandalorian and baby yoda XD
Sadly I heard they are discontinuing Huron Blackhearts model. There are images that people believe that they are making a new model of him. But it would be sad if GW decides to just remove him completely from the setting because he isn’t a character from a Heresy Legion.
The will never remove him completely from the setting. Too popular to kill. But yes his old ass model with the grim Lin monkey is getting removed and remade
m.ruclips.net/video/phEM4S2DwcY/видео.html
That claw with the flamer that they teased months ago could be from a new Huron model, just saying. We all assumed that it was a new daemon engine or something like that, but a new Huron model would be sweet af.
I wasn't expecting Talos. Talos is easily one of my favorite 40k characters hands down.
Vorx is also an underrated characterfor many of the same reasons as Huron. Vorx isn't interested in any higher status, but he's an excellent commander and quite likeable for a chaos marine.

Bro, I may be an Imperial loyalist at heart, but I do enjoy me some good and well-written Eldar lore.
They are criminally underrated, but you're not alone.
Dante who wished he didnt have plot armour and could finally die.
Yep, that pretty much him in a nutshell haha
I just want to say I’m loving your videos! I just recently (like in the past 2 months) started getting into 40k after watching Astartes, and I’ve become really interested in the lore. With how much lore there is, I had no idea where to start. Just as in another comment I’ve seen, the other 40k RUclipsrs had videos that were very detailed and were long drawn out (not that it’s bad thing, just not for me). I really love your enthusiasm and how to cover the topic in a good summary that makes it easy for my monke brain to understand! Thank you for your work and I look forward to continue watching your videos!
I thought Lemartis (spelling) was the one that lead the Death Company (he’s a chaplain that has fallen into the black rage)
I like how you keep bringing up Huron basically being a better war master XD
Not only cause they're better written (Like legitimately a Black Crusade was Abaddon literally letting a DAEMON DRIVE HIS FLEET INTO ORKS FOR SOME REASON???) compared to Huron.
But I agree, Black Legion's trait is god awful, since CSM have a high leadership to begin with
This aged like milk, lol
The reason why there are many underrated awesome 40k characters is because those characters are not making money for GW in model sales unlike papa G and the ultramarines
The reason why Abaddon still relevant is because players love beating him in every way

@@MrPiccolop The fact that Uzas was actually one of my favorite characters by the end really speaks to the quality here.
@@agentmaine4746 yeah In the end Talos still believed in Uzas that there was some sort of "good" left in that psychotic rage. That's what made them both special in my book. Uzas seemed to listen to Talos in his worst moments. Pretty brotherly stuff.
The music, Majorkill speaking and the camera zooming into Huron was fucking epic
Big thanks.
Epic video, and a very appreciated look at some great characters
When talking about under rated Eldar honorable mention goes to Belanna from the lords of mars trilogy, her farseer abilities were second to none and she saved the entire galaxy from Telok the Mad Magos.
I made my homebrew chapter a loyalist Iron Warriors chapter because Barabas is so much of a beast. Reading the lore involving the Iron Warriors made me appreciate the legion so much more and allowed me to discover of that absolute unit and all his crazy feats of his service.
Solid work, always worth a a watch thank you.

The trilogy of the night lords (Talos) is hands down one of my favorite SM novels. So many of the loyalist chapters its just Brother!-For the emp-Brother!-Kill the heretics-Brother! and just blends together into surface feeling character development. Hey Majorkill!
Hey Sanat Kumar!!
I feel like Valerian has the potential to become one of the coolest 40k characters(not that he isn’t already but you get it)
I find it interesting how you can see from what times Huron and Abbadon came from. Abbadon uses his SM like they were still a legion and uses power. Huron comes from a chapter, who had limited options and had to micro manage his forces
I can't wait for Hurons Novel that's coming out in May. It's up for Preorder on Amazon and was a nice unexpected find.
Personal I think numinor is really underated.
Love these kinds of videos! More underrated character vids please.

I'm wondering what chaos thinks of the nids.
The best part of waking up, is Majorkill in your sub feed!
