    I’m upset about Tesla. 🙁 But, this is the result i expected. I did the right choice when I cancelled my M3P (LG) order and chose an LR. Thank you for this video.

      Not sure this was the right move. This "slow" LG m3p is still a full second faster at 1/4 mile and 1.1 seconds faster 0-100kmh than the LR version. That's BIG difference. Dramatically bigger than the difference between the LG and Panasonic versions of the new m3p...
      Yes Tesla fucked the world with this LG m3p, but it's still a much faster car than the LR

      @@nm-yi4yf The acceleration boost will come out and I will be in the 11.6 11.7 sec range with my LR. Also i paid 21K (CAD) less. That’s a lot of money for a few tens faster and less range. With the boost, i will have save 18k. So , I’m happy with my decision.

      @@has_co yeah , but for the price difference here in Quebec, Canada , it’s not worth it. 21k price difference with government credits. That’s a lot of money.

    The ultimate test is compare this side to side with an older m3p (that comes only with Panasonic battery pack) and see it there is a noticeable difference like on some US one's videos

      Not really, if I get a car that's slower by 0.2 seconds which you don't even feel in the real world AND I don't have to live in the US? I'm taking that deal 😂😂

      @@Astro-M0 Its only a good deal if you dont already have a model 3 performance. In the end you paying for power the car cant deliver plus its more expensive in the end compared to the US version. I would call this a bummer indeed. This thing would be amazing with a newer 85kwh battery or something like that.

    Track mode cools the cars battery, which makes your time worse. You need to test it at 100% SOC and preheat battery for a supercharger. This will give the best most accurate results.

      @@has_co Yes that’s true, but so the results can be verified a bit more. I will receive mine in 1 week from now, I still believe the 100-200 should be below 9 seconds, because the power output from LG isn’t that much lower to justify +1,5 second slower times.

    At the end, on the 100-200 and 1/4 mile, it's just in the middle between the new Performance with Panasonic and the pre-refresh Performance. Pity, on the 100-200 kmh has the same time as a stock BMW M2 G87, while the Panasonic version is even faster than the BMW M3 and almost fast as a stock M5...

    It’s not Europe battery. It’s everywhere else battery except USA. Even Canada and Mexico that are right next to the USA get lg battery

    The difference from the Panasonic version is too big. We're talking 0.2sec slower 1/8 mile and 0.4 sec 1/4 mile.
    I really hope that the road is partially to blame. First of all the road wasn't straight, you see a curve to the right. Secondly the ride seems bouncy (not sure if it's from the road or the driver holding his camera unsteady). I hope with perfect road the differences would be smaller.

      ​@@has_co still, it's a problem to compare it to a measurement on a professional track, where the Panasonic version got 10.93 sec 1/4 and 7 sec 1/8. Your curvy, uneven road might have cost 0.1 sec, if not more. Moreover, you didn't post the slope of the road according to Dragy...

    Someone else will came back with better result just like the Panasonic version start at 3.1 now it’s 2.97 sec on drag track. Looks like you are using track mode and temperature is only 11c. What country you located in btw.

      Its only 11C but battery was warm, i dont think the Times World be massivly better in better conditions. Maaybe 3.25s to 100 and 9.1s 100-200.

    2023 M3P Panasonic Cells (U.S.) My best 1/8th mile so far was 7.30 @ 95.54 mph ... Best 0 - 60 mph is 3.06 sec and best quarter mile is 11.38 @ 118.31 mph. 100 - 200 kph @ 90% is 9.6 - 9.8 seconds. 2024 LG version not worth the money you're going to lose and need to put down (if you need to put any down). U.S. version is worth it though :P

      ⁠​⁠@@christophw.717Exactly. My only concern about LG battery was the 100-200kmh. Surprised that it is actually faster than Panasonic. And I also heard that LG battery(ncm) has longer life span than Panasonic's(nca)😊

    The new one with adaptive suspension will destroy the old one in corners. I own a new [LG] one and drove the old one. A day and night difference.

    En image arrêtée, Draggy dit 195km/h alors que le compteur dit 200. Si on prend le compteur, on est très semblable à la batterie pana.
    Problème de mesure ? Et sinon, qu'est ce qu'il fout en drag mode ? Il faut le mettre en insane.

      Si vous regardez de près, le Dragy et le compteur de vitesse ne sont pas synchronisés, même au tout début de la vidéo. Il a fait ce test des dizaines de fois et c'était le meilleur résultat - je ne le négligerais pas.

      Je dois encore attendre cinq mois au Canada. La voiture semble vraiment bonne même avec les LG - je suis sûr que tu vas l'adorer. Quand tu l'auras, essaie cette accélération et fais-moi savoir !

      @@johnperieteanu5358 Elle accelère très très fort de 0 à 120 je dirais. Au dela ça reste rapide mais ça ne colle pas au siege comme la poussée intiale. Par contre, pour avoir doublé plusieurs personnes à roulant à 70 km/h, j e me suis retrouvé à 130+ en un rien de temps en me rabattant. Sécurisant pour doubler mais suffisant aussi pour perdre le permis si on n'a pas les yeux rivés sur son compteur.

    Tesla has to pay for Elons 56Billion package and they can not afford to give us a better battery. The LG pack sucks hard and gives you 50hp less compared to the US Panasonic pack version. I will NOT buy this crappy version.

      ​@@mhsohel47 yes it could be. I measured a flat 3.3s 0-100, and thats exactly 3.1s with Rollout, exactly teslas claim here in germany 👍 the US Battery is stronger and faster. It was just a testdrive i dont have the car nomore

    Did you do this with the track mode ON? It seems that if you put it in track mode it accelerates faster.

      Trackmode on vs off no difference, not even 0.1s difference. Was the same in pre facelift, trackmode has no impact on Power

      Bro even if the new one has close to same performance, it's by no measure the same car. Just the entire suspension/chassis has en entirely reworked and improved. Even compared to the 2024 Highland LR, the performance is so much better. Yes straight-line performance won't be improved with the LG pack - which is disappointing and quite honestly ridiculous. But the rest is so much improved. Brakes, suspension, interior, audio, seats, looks, wheels, efficiency etc. etc. etc.

      @@D00MINIK considering i have a friend that has a modified 8p rs3 that does that in 9.8s and ive beaten him in the 62-124 (100-200) i'd say its not far off. i think the new one just pulls harder past that as thats where mine starts to die off. ive got the 2019 performance which is known to be faster on top end compared to the newer pre-facelift ones with the larger battery. car wow also showed this, along with many other people.

    If these stats are the best for the UK market, I'll not be upgrading (booked in this week to test drive it to see if I upgrade mine). I've seen sub 11 seconds in the US version (10.88 and 10.93), thats M5 terrority, Porsche Tycan Turbo / S, etc... 11.29 is literally 2.1 seconds quicker to the qtr... thats not worth it. I'm surprised by many going on about it not being a big difference... IT IS. M3 are NOT track cars, they are great straight line performance machines, if you want a track car, only EV worthy is a Ionic 5N, or by a ICE car. 11.3 is the same as the new BMW M3... For those who've never had a M3 P you'll love it, for those of us who have had M3 P for sometime, its a little insulting.
    I've heard some are coming with 19in fronts / 20in rears, but then the EU spec is all 20's... I've always liked my Telsa's but this is a worrying development (i.e. fundamental differences between regions)... and I've had 5 Telsa's in my time, but for the first time in a long time I'm considering alternatives (love the plaids, but all left hand drive, no good in the UK).

      But... This is still as fast to the 1/4 mile, and a little bit more, than the old generation M3P keep in mind!
      The 2019 M3P I have, Panasonic battery (506hp) is a little slower than this by the looks of it. Though this has 50hp less, it's still faster it seems! They're doing crazy stuff with that new rear motor!

      I don't understand this mentality.
      Forget the US version. You can't buy it anyway.
      It's STILL the fastest car you can buy for the money. It's still faster than a 5n, ev6gt or similar EV's. It's going to be a great track car as well given the other improvements.
      It's also ONE run by ONE person, basing an entire purchasing decision on that would just be silly and a little dramatic.

      What’s not to understand, the US get a superior version of the same car whereas others get a slower model which deliver less performance, slower charging speeds and slightly less range due to an jnferior LG battery pack.
      Pretty insulting for Tesla to treat other markets like second class citizens.

      No, im flat and hat over 20 runs. The LG Battery is weaker than Panasonic, but the good thing is, its not all about the 100-200 time, the rest of the car got some improvements too

    It's a bummer Tesla gives us a slightly slower spec car, but be real. In the real world you will not notice the difference driving to your work etc. This only applies to the very tiny amount of people that are going to drag this car. Still the Highland is miles better than the previous car in all aspects. The difference is huge.
    Bit disappointed but this will not change my mind and will be definitely getting one. 😊

      I guess it's a little disappointing getting a car that goes slower, charges slower, and has fewer charge cycles when you know there's a variant out there for the same price that is just a little bit better - just not available to you.

      I've seen an Australian MP3 24 do 2
      9s to 60 so I don't believe the difference is that big, however people calling it a disgrace are being dramatic. Would they prefer we didn't get the car at all?
      Tesla China needs to use Chinese sourced cells for the cars. Clearly there isn't availability at scale of other suitable packs.

    For anybody curious about numbers, i compared this to some other draggy time videos out there.
    Old Model 3 Performance 2022 LG Battery. 1/4 Mile = 11,67 sec, 100-200 = 10,35 sec, 0-100 = 3,6 sec 80% SoC no track mode dry
    Highland Model 3 Performance 2024 LG Battery. 1/4 Mile = 11,29 sec, 100-200 = 9,25 sec, 0-100 = 3,3 sec 99% Soc with track mode dry
    Highland Model 3 Performance 2024 Panasonic. 1/4 Mile = 10,92 sec, 0-130 = 12,25 sec, 0-60 = 2,9 sec 86% SoC no track mode dry
    Hope this helps... or not :D keep in mind this is avarage time will always very a bit on each model, depending on SoC, Road surface etc.

      @@mikaelvellmun7228 those are 60 mph and 100kph, not exactly the same and "track mode" is never good for acceleration tests as far as I know, so the gap is smaller, just need more legit data

      @@costancars Are you sure? On other Dragy meters the line is straight. Plus your 100-200 of 9.25 is much faster than any other test I've seen of it. Usually it's measured around 10,3-10,8 (the new m3p with LG)
