    i'm pretty sure they are only even numbers of nucleotides, never 5. I think the sequences are generally 4, 6, or 8 nucleotides long and have an axis of symmetry down the center of the sequence in addition to the lengthwise palindrome

    why restriction enzymes will cleave only double stranded dna and not single stranded dna.is it because of palidrom sequence on restrictions site

      bro a palindrome sequence itself willform only in double stranded dna,
      because it needs 2 strands so that it is palindromicl
