    There is a glitch in the video at 12:45 where it should say "gate control theory of pain"

    • @blackwaternorth
      @blackwaternorth Год назад +1

      this glitch is the crux of the matter. lol. the body's control is not supplanted by the ego/mind's will to control, but the ego/mind steps in and keeps repeating "i got this!" even tho what needed to be got has been dealt with by the somatic flow. kinda. thanks

    I'm happy to have found this beautiful channel. "Emotions are attachments to sensation cycles." That really resonates. I also believe that much of the stories about our feelings fundamentally are a way of the mind to resist feeling the sensations.

      Welcome to the channel! 😊 I'm so glad it resonates for you and I 100% agree the thoughts are usually arising as a strategy to not feel 🙏🏼

    I agree with this theory. The Presence Process by Michael Brown encourages this way of not labelling or using thought when experiencing sensations. This is how I've been processing old energy/emotional imprints. I stopped trying to create a story around the sensations and I noticed, sometimes a story comes up and that's fine, but just feeling the sensation and surrendering unconditionally to it, within secs or a few mins they pass.

    This really does work but my ego (at least) is desperate to add the story of past injustice which only renews the trapped trauma. Having an inner angry dialogue is so addictive (as we think we are reclaiming our energy) but it prevents the body energy from dissipating..
    Having a clear mind when doing this work is everything. Thank you, Nina. Such a timely reminder 🙏

    • @Nina.Goradia
      @Nina.Goradia  Год назад +6

      You are so right. The story and anger can be a resistance that blocks the primary experience from being felt through, while equanimity of mind allows for it all to arise and release. Thanks for sharing with us! 🙏🏼

    Great concept. Yet..the stories (the mental projections) are usually on subconscious level and its impossible to identify them in order not to allow them to impact the sensation. When u are triggered your core wounds get activated, but they speak in inconscious language, so they sort of put this unconscious layer on your sensation which reinforces that sensation. So my question is..when you are not aware of the mental subconscious story how can u just feel the sensation when you are clearly having an unconscious wrapping around thats preventing to just sit with the sensation? Hope i m making sense.

    • @Nina.Goradia
      @Nina.Goradia  Год назад +3

      If working on your own, I would just work with the stories that are accessible until this energy becomes more accessible and discernible to you. I can also help people figure out where the gap is in a few sessions.

    Hi I'd have a question about the physical sensation and the emotional attachment. For example if my fear comes from codependency and being alone as it's unsafe. The emotional attachment would be me being anxious scared of being alone and the physical one could be a heavy stomach perhaps. To release the mental one I can realise that I can feel safe by myself and love myself while for the physical sensation i can focus on it knowing it has no reason to be there while I relax.
    After this how can we have the primary emotion come up?
    Got to know this channel recently through a friend and I've been loving it ❤

    • @Nina.Goradia
      @Nina.Goradia  11 месяцев назад +3

      Sorry for the delay. I've been taking a break from the channel. I'm glad you've been enjoying it!
      The emotional attachment is usually a combination of the mental and physical attachments. It's the attachment to the sensations, which often comes from beliefs. You can think of emotions as sensation plus story.
      So we disprove the belief and put the story aside and then allow ourselves to feel through the sensation fully without indulging any thoughts or story about the sensation. I hope this helps!

    Thanks Nina, but if the trauma got created due to near drowning accident, in childhood the brain pattern or story is too strong to detach from the.physical sensations, probably a lot of SE would be required for that or what other suggestions u have.....thanks for all ur videos they do help

      You're very welcome! A lot of SE would be required to build the container and capacity to feel through PLUS detach from the feeling. Both skills are required to feel through the primary feeling AND detach from the secondary resistance. We have spoken of 10+ ways in our 1-on-1 conversations that are individual to you. It will make more sense as you continue practicing these new things.

      @@Nina.Goradia Some of the points that I listed after our session is as below:
      1. No more suppression of emotions, feelings and sensations
      2. Permission to feelings to be there-
      3. Never expect your inner child to perform to be accepted
      4. Go to legs for 3 mins (as grounding and safe feeling), and then 10 sec for the heart feeling uneasy feeling-pendulation
      5. See ur feeling and make yourself disappear, let only feeling remain.
      6. Exercise for taking a firm stand for the unconditional love for the little Parvez.
      7. Remind yourself of self-worthiness… Quran says: walaqad karramna bani aadama.
      8. Physical resourcing video-Peter Levine’s body soothing exercises
      9. Yours responsibility is to be with your experience - pay attention to your body feeling and experience rather than giving attention to mind.
      10. Should I always be focusing on negative emotion - check your body feedback, if it is childhood neglect give more and see what body says back, but give a break and don’t live with emotions, call them up for be with them and then move your attention to somewhere else
      11. Call the sensation to open up, lessen resistance to it and ask it to reveal itself to you as otherwise u have a fear of it
      12. The motivation for interviews and LinkedIn is not there because until the internal issue of sad/grieving/traumatized IC is not cleared it pulls you back. The negative beliefs keep coming up because of the unresolved traumas.
      13. talk to the feeling, Call the feelings to come up and spend 5 mins with it do not feed sensations with ur thoughts.
      14. Attach positive meanings to the sensations
      15. Cultivate gratitude towards feeling, purpose of life is to teach you, and that’s why this feeling is there for you
      16. Disapprove the belief that the sensations appearing as fear means body is in danger-tell urself I am OK, it is just a feeling I am not in danger in reality.

    I think this is one of the best videos on your channel so far. Thank you Nina for sharing your teacher Ryan's teachings to people who never had the opportunity to meet him 🙏
    By the way, at 8:52 when you say "it needs to have some kind of duration" what exactly do you mean? and when you say "ocean of emotions" do you mean experiencing a larger quantity of emotions but with shorter durations?

    • @Robe_Hernandez
      @Robe_Hernandez Год назад +2

      Neta algo bien Reyes... 💯

    • @Nina.Goradia
      @Nina.Goradia  Год назад +7

      Aw, thank you! I'm so glad it was helpful. For me, thinking of emotions needing to have duration to exist is a way to differentiate them from sensations. In order for a sensation to actually get stuck or have density and feel uncomfortable, there must be some type of mental or physical resistance to it's expression. That resistance is what causes us to feel "negative" emotions like fear, etc, and so they have duration.
      A sensation without resistance is fleeting and doesn't need to have a label. Not having a label, projection, or story makes it not have duration since these are forms of attachments or entanglements that make emotions get stuck.
      Since Ryan has no resistance to his sensations plus his mind is not cutting them up into parts or compartmentalizing them with labels or projections or stories, these sensations are seen as a whole all throughout the body like an ocean. He is not viewing them as each individual wave the way we might. He experiences them as an aggregate of all the waves by seeing them without borders/labels. The lack of resistance to them also allows then to simply flow and express the way emotions are meant to rather than getting stuck or blocked due to resistance.
      Does this make sense? Let me know if you need clarification on something. Thanks for watching and integrating so much of this information into your understanding 😊🙏🏼

      @@Nina.Goradia I think this is a good summary and it helped me grasp the concept better. I do think he's done a lot of 'clearing house' already. Those w a deep trauma body may find this concept ie. oceans vs compartmentalizing, harder to achieve, that said, I believe this is an advanced and important way to process energy imprints and I can say I'm having a more success processing this way now.

    The hardest part is seeking through, getting the clarity to see through. How do we achieve that? :) Once we do, it would tremendously help us to get over emotional over incidents and situations and just let go of the body sending as well.
    The key is in seeing through though, with clarity, and then (or by itself) processing the emotions within the body.

      Hi, welcome to the channel! You're right, this is an advanced video. You might want to start with the 3 most watched videos on this channel. They give a good background to this work.
      The Hoarding video is most most closely related to this video, but a bit simpler. There is some complexity there still that can be clarified in the Self-realization videos.
      This being said, I will be creating a course on Overcoming Hoarding, which uses all these principles of releasing attachments (useful whether someone has a hoarding problem or not!) Your comment has influenced how I will do this...I will start it off much more simply!

      I think her point is more about how attachments compartmentalize the spectrum of emotion into strict "boxes", rather than create emotions out of nothing.
      so when she says that *emotions* are attachments, by "emotions" she means the boxes themselves (anger, hate, fear, etc), not the "ocean" behind them, which is the thing they are made of
