    Another great physical resource is using a weighted blanket. Make sure to look up the correct weight for your size. And for the best grounding resource I've ever found, watch the earthing/grounding video here: ruclips.net/video/-eYJwMWXfYM/видео.html

      I’m going to order a weighted blanket today. It’s so interesting because I watched a documentary on grounding/earthing recently. I’ve been doing it for about three days a week. When I started my energy level was very low. Not just physically but my field of course. From the first time I could feel a boast. I will never forget how cool that was for me. I resonate with your channel and I’m super grateful to have found it. You have no idea how much it is guiding me toward relief. Thank you so much! 💕x

      Haha, that's good! These exercises are calming and lower activation/stress. They brought you into parasympathetic state. You can do them only when you need to relax. For other people who are more activated, they may need to do these hourly to stay calm.

    I know that these methods work (not only from my own experience over the years) and I highly recommend them. But what to do when the mind already knows that it works (e.g. it breaks the vicious circle of stress) and there is a block to do anything at all, even change the position of the hands or take 3 breaths. What should you do in such a situation, how can you help? or when the only temporarily soothing activity is putting food into your mouth, without any connection with hunger, of course?

      @@Nina.Goradia Ah makes sense. I feel like those can very easily become coping behaviors if we have attachment for them. But this is probably more of a problem specifically for me due to my conditioning, which might be why I didn't understand why they counted as resourcing at first lol

    How does resourcing and feeling safe relate to healing trauma if healing trauma is about just feeling the hard emotions. Is there balance and how
    Does that work. Sorry I’ve been commenting a lot.

    • @Nina.Goradia
      @Nina.Goradia  8 месяцев назад +4

      We can't feel the hard emotions if there isn't enough capacity to tolerate them. Resourcing and feeling safe increase this capacity. You can go back and forth between feeling and resourcing as needed.

    Hi Nina!
    I have a question regarding jaw tension. Whenever I go deeply into my body I instantly notice a significant tension in my jaw. No real emotion connected to it, just huge jaw tension. What could this mean/ how do I respond? Thanks!

    • @Nina.Goradia

      @Nina.Goradia  Год назад +7

      Yes I understand Ayesha and sorry to hear this. In your case, I would try to do these daily, once every hour in fact and then see if you feel better over time. Feeling resourced would feel like the mind and body can relax a bit more than usual, feel calmer, like there's more room to hold an emotion and tolerate it, like you don't have to be as on guard or hypervigilant and that maybe you even participate in something you enjoy. Keep orienting to what feels good as a habit and this should make a difference over time. I really hope it works for you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

    • @idontknowyetwhoiam
      @idontknowyetwhoiam Год назад +4

      @Nina.Goradia oh wow ok the frequency hit me I wasn't expecting to hear "do this every hour". That makes sense why I don't feel resourced cuz I need a lot of it. Thanks Nina.

  • @Miss-Hellcat666
    @Miss-Hellcat666 7 месяцев назад +1

    Tactile stimuli is the only "grounding/orienting" resource that works for me. The senses in my head does not make me feel connected to the environment, only touch does. Seeing, hearing etc. doesn't feel real in a way, but if I can touch something I can be sure it's real- real as in a dissociation type way, not a psychotic way😅 I feel like I'm the only one who can ONLY orient physically. I wonder why I'm like this?
    Thank you for showing these, they worked instantly! ❤
