This effect gives me so many possible ideas about what I can do when I begin to repaint my '94 Super V 2000. Over then past years I've grown bored with the plain jane black and silver of the factory style paint I did on the bare frame. Can't wait for the next video to see what ideas it sparks .!!

I wonder if it's possible to control the crystalline development? Using some of the urea crushed into powder and placed strategically for nucleation points might do it. And we're talking like individual granules.

Interesting I've seen diesel exhaust fluid spilled several times and it certainly dries in a crystalline structure... I almost wonder if you could just use def 😛

Thank you for the explanation. I'm a little confused about the use of the wetting agent. According to the product links in your description, the agent is used for water based paints. However, I thought the Rust-Oleum paints you recommend in your description were epoxy/enamel based paints. Are they not? Or, is the repelling nature of the of the two part of what creates the effect?
You could also use jet dry I am sure. It is also a surfactant and does the same thing. I have never heard of the product he mentioned but I know we have jet dry on the dishwasher soap aisle in the US
