Listening to this on 24th September 2019 & still think this is as great as the 1st time I heard it, Squire certainly is a 1 off, I Miss You John, please start making more great music 🎸🍺👍😀
@@OwenRyan-wd5gw sorry for being rude in my earlier comment must have been drunk, it’s a great song, definitely better than anything that he has on the new album
@dufc4uefa It's about Ian but also John's ex. His music is amazing and it's a crime shame that people didn't get it. Not commercial enough, I guess. I love him and I'm so pleased that he's back playing and that he and Ian are friends again. It's the stuff of fairy-tales :D
@JonathanBones I heard Ian singing a Beatles number during the rehearsals of a recent gig and he was spot on. I think he'll do well, this time around. And yes, I agree: John's voice is endearing.
John has a fantastic voice and Ian held it together well for Heaton Park, it was the best gig I've ever been to and the best I probably will ever go to
It was awful, depressed the life out of me. I idolised those boys, but Heaton Park was heartbreaking, twas a cash in, they don't like each other and the whole thing was ugly.
The comeback was a bad move only done for a quick millions in the bank I’ll rather they just did nothing and let the legacy remain like the clash never got back together it wasn’t about money
This is the only tune Squire did since leaving the stone roses that I like, and its about the godlike genius . Still love John though , everyone makes mistakes and he deserved another chance . Pity it took so long , John is still better than any other guitarest out there
John is the best I complety agree with with you Ian and John are the best music makers together, the songs that they made are untouchable, the only guy who I think who comes close is Jonny marr
He's not like singing haha...Maybe i understand him,i'm more into songwriting and composing.Singing is awesome,and i think i can do it pretty well...But is not good compared to feel the music in your hands :) I just love his singing,he's also one of my greater inspirations for being involved with other ways of art.
@1919mum He's not about the singing, is he? He sings in tune, more than "other people" ever did *cough cough*. He has a flat voice and not much of a range, but does a decent job. And I ather have him, then any X-Factor note perfect plastic-pop poser.
What a talent, shame they didn't have a decent singer in the Stone Roses, IB is garbage live, and John's voice is OK but not good enough to carry these excellent tunes. Fan since 88 before anyone starts.
What a talent! A true LEGEND. Still listening in 2021.
How are you feeling in 2024.... Great isn't it (?) 😁
I never get sick of listening to this absolutely brilliant

An unassuming national treasure.
A legend for a generation
My idol, can still remember the feeling I got the first time I heard made of stone over 30 years ago
But I won’t cry myself to sleep 💤 John Squires I love you 😍 And I love the lyrics and I love your voice to boot 🙏⭐️🙏⭐️
Met the bassist in this band 2 days ago at a hotel in Glasgow, this songs about Ian Brown he told me
Well without being rude who else did you think that the song was about? His cat 😂
I didn’t hear the song until he told me about it

Love his lyrics. The whole album has great lyrics. I love every track on it.
Great song. I saw him do this live at Leeds Uni in the nineties.
I saw him at Leeds uni too. Was definitely 2000’s though. Album came out in 2002. Was a great gig
Me too
I really love this track from him. The most favorite track on this album. It actually shines back at myself. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!

I miss The Stone Roses,
Love it
my favorite of the album love the bouncy rhythm
Imagine mr brown singing this song , easy top 5 single
Sounds like Peter Perret of the Only Ones.

thats ducking great!
Roses fans will slag John's voice off here and then immediately go to a video of Ian Brown bellowing tunelessly and comment "Legend" 😁😁😂😂
Belter tune this.
How can u not like this song 3 dislike ,its about Ian and 1 of his exes
John has a fantastic voice and Ian held it together well for Heaton Park, it was the best gig I've ever been to and the best I probably will ever go to

still be
tter in the roses.
@JonathanBones Hell yeah! :D
His voice sounds very much like Tom Petty
all 4 of them were better in the Roses.
how warm is this mmmmmmm

Hes a good guitarist sure enough, always has been but better than any other guitarist out there?? 🤣😂 calm down m8

@oasishaun don't we all!
@solarizer ahah! yep! :)
He sings "I'm a bad boy I miss you" And Tom Petty sings I'm a bad boy cause I don't even miss her."
@solarizer Shoulda left the brackets out, :)

?
@1919mum neither can your mum.
I thought it was Tom Petty
Sounds a bit Dylanesque to me, not the best singer ever but that's no detriment, nice song.
Now we know why Ian did the vocals
LMAO really?
No es john, no tiene nada de el toque en la guitarra que lo distingue, NOOOOOOO 😮
cant sing to save his life
You obviously don’t understand music
