He (John), wasn’t being rude, he isn’t a frontman, he’s shy and introverted. Anyone who has followed his career knows this.
Fair enough. Boring and awkward to watch for people though.
Or is he just more intelligent and doesn't feel the need for long-winded responses......I would be bored sat next to that dim wit in the glasses. You could tell john wasn't keen.

John Squire was heavily criticised in the UK press, who suggested that he was deliberately difficult. Mancunians, like most folk in the North of England, are usually very succinct.

I thought John was actually showing the signs of just being a normal person, in these days of talk shows etc everyone thinks the guests need to act like a star and be extroverted, he was just acting normal, I think anyone knocking that don't know what normal is !
Classic John Squire, first interview as the Stone Roses I'd ever see was brutal for any host. I think it's John's go-to for humour. Never give too much away, he's all about the music, not his personal life. How many of us were waiting for Ian Brown's name to be thrown in. 😂 Jonathan Ross at his best. Brilliant

Not everybody needs banter to survive. Yes, a joke is a joke, but now a days everybodys doing back and forth, and as an introvert, I myself totally understand him. Great guy, and he doesn't deserve slagging off because of his personality. He's had some amazing accomplishments, leave him b.
I completely agree. With some people it’s impossible to actually have a sincere conversation because they must resort to banter in every instance.

Liam is so cool and funny
I’m from the UK but now live in the Pacific Northwest of America. We have a farm and there are two types of woodpeckers on it. One is a bit smaller and the other is pretty fookin large. I always think that when other animals see them they must shit themselves and steer clear. Just some animal smacking their head repeatedly against a tree. No one wants that smoke man. No one. Imagine seeing a bloke in the pub doing that. You would leave it well alone.

My natural personality is like John's, introverted and quiet. But at work I force myself to talk and be sociable because society says you have to be. If I was quiet and ignoring everyone, like I want, coworkers would think somethings wrong

Liam & John are not natural interviewees at all and it shows here, but they were brilliant - as was the Interviewer and the other chap, who is very natural.

That isn't a criticism by the way, I've been a Roses fan for years so I know what he's like, but it's quite extreme in his case, he really doesn't engage in talk at all

I don't know what happened to John. How can someone write an album like Second Coming and Do It Yourself and be able to write such awful songs like these. I never had expected a full collaboration between Liam and John to be awful, but awful it's short... This was pure trash. Liam has never sung more ridiculous nonsensical lyrics in his life. Maybe Liam should've helped a little with the songwriting because these are probably the worst songs ever associated with Liam.
So Liam has a song coming out called 'Mother Nature's Song' .... I wonder which Beatles white album gave the thief that idea?? Liam has stolen other people's music all his life!

Not every person has to speak in order to get their message across. John Squire is one of those kinds of people.
