Thank you for doing this. Entering the PCP market is intimidating when you read (constantly) about these and those fill probes, lubing these fittings and o-rings, and not these ones. Maybe now it will be easier...

Matt, thanks for tuning in. As the PCP rifles are becoming even more popular there are more pumps being developed. This is good because the price keeps coming down. When I first started shooting PCP the max fill was 200 bar and your options was a scuba tank or a $1500 compressor. Happy Shooting 👍🏻

    The darkside of pcp's!
The price/reliability of avaible fill sources is the main thing preventing alot of break barrel users like me to get a nice Pcp!
We are getting there slowly with the progress in the airgun world

I think as PCP's become more popular; we will see more affordable pumps being developed. I just came across another one I will feature in some future videos. Happy Shooting!

Hi JC, Thanks for great topic and information. filling the pre-loaded pneumatic starches (PCP) was always a hassle for various reasons. In recent years some portable compressors have emerged that are very simple and practical. They are the main reason that has tempted me to enter this world of (PCP). Have a great weekende.

Walmart now has high pressure air cooled compressors up to 4500 psi for about $180 and up...extended service agreements available. Worth a look.
We use a water cooled original ourselves. We fill a carbon fiber tank usually from 3000 to about 4300 psi on 1 cycle. From empty it takes much longer. Enjoy, be safe.

I though you just turned the bleed valve open and let the air out of the line, then just disconnect the hose.------------- I'm confused

Very simple...when you get to the full level on your gun, turn the pump off, open the bleeder valve, and remove the filler hose. You'll still let the pump's fan work for a few minutes to cool down the pump. I hope that gives you some clarification 👍🏻

I've done that very thing, the rifle started to leak air quickly from the filling port, I quickly fitted the adapter and pumped it back to 200bar, this must have re-seated the interal valve, as it held pressure when I released the air correctly at the pump.
I even wrote a warning instruction to myself on the pump to avoid making the same mistake 😊 had this pump over 20 years.
