      I ended up gluing the front fenders down to the light bracket. The tape did not work very well. Haven’t had an issue with them since then. I don’t have inner fenders for the rear, but I did end up buying some Artec front inner fenders.

    Thanks for the video. I’ve been looking at fender options and I like this one a lot.
    Have you found a good wheel well you could install with this setup?
    Also I saw on the website that the running daytime lights is out of stock. Do you know if I were to buy the non-running daylight option I would be in violation of a vehicle equipment law?

    • @DrivingLine

      If these are out of stock, I would look at the ones from American Adventure Lab. I ended up with Artec inner fenders. They are OK. I would definitely recommend going with some type of visible turn signal.

      I believe it's possible that you could do just this mod and run a 37, but I haven't tested it. So, I can't say if there would be any potential rubbing issues. I ended up ordering a set of Artec inner fenders for the front. I just haven't had a chance to install them yet.

    • @DrivingLine
      @DrivingLine  5 месяцев назад +1

      I believe it’s possible to reuse a portion of it. Obviously, you would have to trim it up a good bit. I think the main issue would be the lack of attachment points compared to how it was from the factory.

  • @krashnpa
    @krashnpa 2 года назад

    Hey Ali, I was looking at Nitto M/Ts, how many miles do you have on yours since you've put them on? I like the look of the fender chop LEDs, but looking to keep the inner flares when I chop ours unless we need the clearance. 👍

    • @DrivingLine
      @DrivingLine  2 года назад +1

      Those have a little over 11,000 miles on them. I've been able to pull 45,000 miles out of Trail Grapplers in the past under much heavier vehicles. So, I'm hoping these will go the distance as well.

  • @Bro_verland
    @Bro_verland Год назад

    Hello, noob here 👋🏻 are the factory fender liners no longer useable after this mod or did you just not like the look?

    • @DrivingLine
      @DrivingLine  Год назад +1

      You may be able to trim them up and mount them using the few attachment points that are on the body. But, I'm not sure how flimsy they would be. There's much better aftermarket solutions that are designed for this upgrade.

  • @bennie873

    So the stock inner fender liners won’t fit back once you do this? Or did I miss something?

    • @DrivingLine
      @DrivingLine  Год назад +3

      The stock inner liners attach primarily to lower half of the flare. So, there's no secure way to put them back. None that I could see at least.

      If it has a two-piece flare design, then yes. I know Max Tow gets wider flares due to the wider axles, but I can’t recall if they get the same one-piece style flare as the regular Sport. The seem is very defined on the two-piece flare.

  • @EddiTaru
    @EddiTaru Год назад

    Why do people do this? The OEM Jeep fenders are just perfect. Makiing them thinner and flimzier just isn't a good idea. It gives you like half an inch of clearance, but estetically it doesn't look as great anymore. Otherwise a good educational video.

    • @DrivingLine
      @DrivingLine  Год назад +2

      It's the easiest and cheapest way to make room for larger tires without limiting up travel or having to install a taller suspension lift. I would much rather have the Jeep low and stable for my needs.
