It s a brilliant bike. I have a 1999 Honda Shadow ACE Deluxe 750 and a Kawasaki ZZR1200. The great majority of my riding time I spend on the Honda. I absolutely love it.
I rode one several years back with Cobra turnout exhausts, it reminded me of my '65 Chevy 2. with a 327 V8. I had to have a bike, I bought an '02 1100 Shadow Spirit, It didn't have the same single pin crank so the sound was entirely different, so I sold it and went to a Yamaha Midnight Silverado. All of this after owning a '80 Yamaha 400 Special.
It's very comfortable, But had to change my shadow spirit1100's handlebar from a butterfly style to a drag bar, made a big difference in the posture and handling, Check out the short video for the setup
Great bikes, not much can go wrong with them, check fork seals for cracks, battery and yes inside the tank for any rust. Shows if it's neglected or not

Very cool. What exhaust are you running? I'm looking to buy a V Star 650 or a Shadow. I'm a Honda guy so probably going with the Shadow.

@@mattcocky8956 I've had my 03 for 20 years. I have Cobra drag pipes on her. Sometimes I pull the baffles. Makes it louder.

These bikes are very well built and can last a very long time with just routine maintenance.

I have put over 150,000 on my 2001 ACE with only routine maintenance, so yes, it is bulletproof.

How big would you want? They have an 1100 Shadow. Then a 1300 and 1800 VTX.
