I have watched many of Dr. Berg's videos over the last 3 months. I was diagnosed with blood pressure at 172/82 in September 23. My initial doctor prescribed medication without any natural alternatives. From advice I decided to do research into how I could approach the problem naturally. I came across these videos through RUclips and started to use these techniques. I increased my consumption of plant based nitrates as well as introduced supplements. Over a period of 3 months my blood pressure has dropped and stabilised at 120/70 . An added benefit is that my cardio fitness has improved dramatically and my weight is down also. I am in my 60's and feel great.
I had high blood pressure for many years, my doctor told me I will have to take medication for the rest of my life. just last month I went on a sugar free diet with interment fasting. guess what ? my blood pressure now is normal and without any medication, all this time they told me avoid salt, but did they not tell me to avoid the sugar, lol

I cut out sugar, alcohol and most of the caffeine starting in January 2019. I am 6ft, 65 years of age and my weight had gone up to 205 lbs due to excess sugar. Now in Mid august, I am 178 lbs. I have good cholesterol and triglycerides. I have (with my doctors assent) gone of statins and PPI meds. I feel good. I am exercising regularly and am seeing improvements in my chronic pain issues. My blood pressure is consistently in the 97/63 range. Thanks for this information Dr Berg.
As my belly began to shrink, my sugar level normalised and all of a sudden, after many years of struggle, my hypertension went from high to normal high and then normal low. Now, basically I do not have diabetes or hypertension. Thanks to IF and fibre rich, carb low, and fat moderate diet along with proper sleep and regular exercise. Thank you Dr. Berg, if you are reading this, cheers from India!
I was on BP meds by the time I was 23yo. I was slightly overweight (still working on that, unfortunately), had slightly high fasted glucose levels but not enough to qualify as a Type 2 Diabetic, & my diet was pure garbage- it was almost all sugar & refined carbs. The doctor told me to lower salt intake but made no mention of sugar/carbs. Since cutting out sugar, eating more vegetables and supplementing potassium & magnesium, I have been able to come off BP meds after needing them for 20yrs- and although I still am not where I want to be with my weight, I feel better now, than I did in my 20s! Healthy keto is nothing short of a miracle, & I have Dr. Berg to thank for putting me on this path! 🙏💖
Had gall bladder pain. Pretty bad. Took you gallbladder formula. In one week the problem was solved. My wife had heart fibrillation. Used a grounding pad to offset imbalance from long hours on the computer, and used an electrolyte formula. Her 10-hour bouts were reduced the first day to 1-1/2 hours. I will begin your recommendations for high blood pressure and anticipate similar positive results, as I will begin potassium intake, Hibiscus tea, vegetables, a daily walk, and intermittent fasting, etc. Your naysayers are entrenched in the medical industry but haven't done a thing to help my health issues. Thank you for living beyond the expectations of the Hippocratic oath, which my Doctor has forgotten.
You're a life saver Dr. Berg! I had hypertension during my first pregnancy, which ended up inducing me at 38 weeks. I was on a keto diet, and was super healthy EVERYWHERE else, except my blood pressure (I had Gestational Diabetes, but was under control with Keto). Very healthy baby btw, no complications on pregnancy keto. This explains SOOOO much of the link between high blood pressure and diabetes. I cut out the sugar, had high fat, but did not eat enough greens, as I don't love them. Same thing is happening this time with my second pregnancy, I'm 12 weeks and just came back from the OB, noted with high blood pressure already, so I decided to look your videos up (have been a fan for a while) in a desperate need to find a much healthier way to lower the blood pressure, but not have to rely on medication. What a simple answer! I need more potassium (eat more greens)! And, I have purchased organic wheatgrass powder, JUST in case. I'll try your mixed drink next! I wish I educated myself earlier. I'll update soon, hopefully, my blood pressure improves! Thanks Doc!
Literally, less than ONE day, and my blood pressure lowered to normal!! It's so weird. I just upped my salad (mixed greens) intake and this morning my blood pressure was normal! You're so amazing Dr. Berg! NO one else has given this life saving (for me and baby) info. Thank you times a billion!
Hi. It's been 3 months since your post. How are you doing now? I ask because I, too, have dealth with HBP in my pregnancies. It was very severe that it turned into preeclampsia and babies were born premature. I've dealt with this HBP since as far as I can remember..and havent managed to lower it at all. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant..and after 1st dr visit I came out of the dr office with BP meds....this is what I wanted to avoid. Just saw Dr.Bergs video and saw ur post. That's why I was asking How are you and baby today? God bless you
@@HolySpirit83 during my pregnancy I found that beetroot juice and coconut water helped lower mine. You're not meant to drink too much coconut water, maybe 2 glasses per day maximum but because it is high in potassium it helps! All the very best xxx
@@RTtakeoverthischannel please provide an update 🙏. Did the salads and keto help you avoid hypertension and gestational diabetes? We're you able to avoid the meds?
Thank you Dr. Berg. I have been on a Keto lifestyle for 6 weeks now. I also IF four days per week 20/4 hours. I am pleased to say after over 25 years on Blood pressure medication I now have BP that averages 110/65. I have stopped all BP meds and have normal BP which I check twice a day. I have lost over 15 pounds thanks to my new eating habits. I am 68 years young and have more energy and mental focus. Today I realized that my eye floaters are also gone. All these years I believed that my high BP was genetic since both of my parents took BP meds also for many years. I was not aware of the true cause of my problem. Ignorance is not always “bliss”. I encourage all people that want to live a healthier life to give a Keto diet and IF a try. You have nothing to lose except your meds and excess body fat.
Dr Berg’s videos have changed my health, my energy, my stress level…in fact everything about me. I find something to learn, from him, every day and so appreciate the way he explains everything so clearly and concisely. I feel so good and wish everyone could experience what I feel. I’m so grateful I found him.
You vids are always easy to understand, to the point and short, very time effective. I also appreciate you taking the time to organize it on a white board which makes it easier to sink in. :-) Thanks for all you do!
Cardiac issues run in my family. I don’t want to be a statistic. I want to take control of my life. Workout/eat right. I don’t take any medicines and that’s the way I want to keep it
my dad has had high blood pressure for 20 years and apparently he had problems when he was younger. I can see how he would roll his eyes if I told him about this video. It is a shame that ppl are stubborn and they just settle with taking medicine for the rest of their lives!
Your dad has probably heard all the solutions before. Sometimes there is no cure for high BP that is a known fact. I know people who are in fantastic shape. Eat well, work out everyday and still have high BP. It can be very discouraging to say the least and without medication they would be in the high risk group. Many of us have heard this all before. Stop salt, work out, go vegetarian, do the DASH diet and many have tried and failed.

Dr. Berg, my son had non-alcoholic liver disease almost a year ago and he has been seeing a liver specialist and doing bloodwork every 3 months. Well want i want to say is that seeing the specialists has not helped us, with true helpful info. Your video has helped me as the mom to help my son get back to normal (his blood work from high sugar high ldl, high liver enzyme, etc, back to normal),and really educate him with what's going on and myself along with my family of 7 going on 8. Thank you!!
G Moore,.. I have learned from experience however that it is important to raise those potassium levels naturally. Supplements of potassium can be dangerous. It can even cost you your life. You can actually OD on potassium. So get your potassium naturally. One really good way to get potassium is from a good quality molasses... Believe it or not there is one out there that is "fair trade,...organic,, unrefined" I buy it at the co-op in my town in Eureka California. And it has like nearly 800 mg of potassium per tablespoon. Very good source. I realize that molasses equates to a type of sugar. But it is not officially sugar in the sense that it is at Powerhouse of potassium. Just sayin😄🌺
Searched this vid because I've been under alot of stress for months and now my Mother passed 3 wks ago. I checked my BP regularly since yesterday. A few times I've been over 180 systolic and monitoring ongoing now. This morning right out of bed it was 195/98. I snore and noone to tell me if I have apnea or not. Yes I could lose 20 pounds. I've been out of my routine with D3 and magnesium and I don't take potassium. I need to get this in check asap. I'm going out to purchase supplements and some healthy food. Its been so stressful my regular walks with my dog are sporadic too.
@Shilo2020, I think you are correct that all the stress you have been thru recently has cause your BP to increase. First, be gentle with yourself. Allow plenty of tie for sleep, hot bath with Epsom salts (to increase your magnesium), walks with your dog, etc. Helping your body relax will help your BP. I wouldn’t be too concerned about sleep apnea at this point, focus on relaxation. If you know you can benefit from losing some weight, perhaps work on longer walks with your dog and cutting back on sugar and carbs. Keep up on eating healthy food and takng supplements. Personally, I find that soaking in a hot bath with Epsom salts and Cream of Tartar (which is a fantastic source of potassium) helps. Our skin can absorb many nutrients and I find that transdermal absorption works far better thank taking supplements because you body controls how much it uses. Potassium will definitely help lower your BP. If you do decide to take an oral supplement, please pay attention to how it affects you. Sending you calm energy for your healing.
Over the Xmas period i indulged in more sugar foods and pastries than i normally would. I felt really strange last night, couldnt sleep, thought i might not wake up. It does work and after whatvI have been through it is one key to success. Thank you and I do believe there is a serious relationship between potassium and blood pressure.
have been to so many doctors about my hypertension. I'm clinically underweight and don't smoke, so they concluded its genetic and I should be on meds for ever. None of them ever mentioned insulin resistance, just prescribed anti-hypertensives which caused unacceptable side effects. No amount of salt avoidance, exercise or meditation helped. I'm giving up all sugar as of today, many thanks😊

Thank you Dr. Berg for giving us your time to explain the cause and effect of many illnesses and the remedies in a very comprehensive way. I have taken plenty of notes and I shall make some changes to my diet, especially eating far more vegetables and cut down carbs.
Very eye opening info. I, too, always connected high blood pressure with the level of my salt intake or my stress levels at the time whenever my blood pressure shot up. This puts a wholly different focus on how I've been managing my health. Thank you for the clear break down of details. Truly helps.
"High Insulin factor from high carb diet creates stiffened arteries that lead to high blood pressure" . "insulin Resistance makes your arteries stiff, whcih causes sodium retention and low potassium" This is extremely helpful. Thanks. RileyJFox
I watch, and listen, to all these videos, even if I do not have the symptom described in the subject title. As is the case with high blood pressure. I have come to learn, not all symptoms are experienced, but the root cause of, all the symptoms I do have, are always the same. Even in this video, the words, ‘hard arteries’ were mentioned. My GP recently stated that could be the reason behind an inconclusive Doppler test, as my arteries failed to constrict. I am just going to my local organic farm shop to buy my meats and veggies. Over recent years, salads have not tasted good, until I purchased one salad greens bag from my now favourite retailer, Trinity Farm. I now consume 3 bags minimum every week, on top of all my other veg and I take as much raw as possible. Furthermore, elimination of grains and potatoes, plus commercially grown produce, is helping me achieve better health outcomes. Lifestyle changes are a must and I am still in the process of introducing further changes to eliminate unnecessary stress which has been a constant factor through bereavement, etc and now work, so if it was not for the healthier consumption, I would be a wreck now. Good on you once again Dr Berg. You are our 🌞 on dull British day.
Yes, whats very interesting is that a lot of condition have 1 main cause, which is huge and people need to really know it. I think the medical profession as severely complicated the body and make it very mysterious so no one can really solve these problems.
As I mentioned in a post yesterday. I took the D3 and K2 and am working on the diet as I speak. My blood pressure has gone from "high normal" to "optimal" in just two months. Thanks to our great creator first and foremost and Dr. Berg for helping us to understand.
Dr. Eric Berg DC, I believe you, plus others (Tom O'Bryan, Mercola, Kresser, to name a few) practising and sharing knowledge as you do, are laying new foundations in the approach to enhanced health. Whatever has been complicated by pharma, brainwashing and ignorance, on how we fuel our bodies, the importance of elimination and keeping share holders happy, you have managed to make uncomplicated and so easy to understand in bite size chunks. If every educator in my life were half as good as you, my time on this earth would always have been enriched and enhanced. Thank you! 🤗
Dr. Eric Berg DC, apologies in advance for asking a bespoke question. I'm curious as to whether hardened or calcified arteries 'can', as opposed to 'will', become more elastic again with a new rigorous way of eating and lifestyle please. If you don't mind giving your opinion. Thank you in anticipation.
Thank you Dr. Berge. I started intermittent fasting about a year ago along with eating healthy( no refined sugar or carbs ..no cow milk or dairy ....drinking more water. Sleeping well ..exercising...staying away from stress as much as possible..connecting with family and friends...entertainment....followed this routine strictly for 6 months and 3 weeks.... .lost a lot of weight....got rid of diabetes type two and high blood pressure ....then fell back a for a few days and allowed chocolate and dates....struggled for the rest of the year...still managed to keep weight off....but there are still some other symptoms that annoy me....when I saw the success story of Ghaidaa', I was encouraged to follow the ketogenic diet along with intermittent fasting. I started 10 days ago. Need to be patient and persistent.... Hope to find improvements within the next 3 months.
I concur with you about Dr Berg. I tell as many people as I can about him. Years ago used to be dr. David Williams dr. David Williams dr. David Williams,.. Dear Miss King, why is it that you say to do the smoothies first?? Is that a technique that has worked good for you? I want to start on the keto diet but I was wondering about whether there is any prep work that needs to be done first! Is the smoothies the prep work? I was thinking to do smoothies, and then do some fasting, and then start the ketogenic diet! What do you think does that sound good? I don't know who you are, but you obviously have an opinion about it! :-)

My blood pressure is consistently in the 97/63 range. Thanks for this information Dr Berg.
Doctor i highly anticipate you..God bless..
Well done to you for losing all that weight. All the best.
You are an inspiration, Michael. Thanks for sharing!
Kuldip Thapa hi I am suffering from hypertension and prediabetic does keto really work and do you take any bergs supplements
Time and time again losing excess weight has shown to be beneficial in HBP and IR. Ive read that they have even reversed IR via liposuction.
Good work Dr Berg
Dr Berg, you're so clear and understandable😄, I'm Italian and I'm addicted to your lessons, it's been the dawn of a brand new day to me, thanks a lot🙏
Thank you so much Doctor Berg This topic is so helpful for my mum🙏👍
Update please?
What's the status of your bp these days?
How are you doing? I'm researching to start my journey.
Dr Berg’s videos have changed my health, my energy, my stress level…in fact everything about me. I find something to learn, from him, every day and so appreciate the way he explains everything so clearly and concisely. I feel so good and wish everyone could experience what I feel. I’m so grateful I found him.
Makes a LOT of sense.
I don’t take any medicines and that’s the way I want to keep it
Honestly, what an amazing explanation. Never seen before.
Thank you doctor!
my dad has had high blood pressure for 20 years and apparently he had problems when he was younger. I can see how he would roll his eyes if I told him about this video. It is a shame that ppl are stubborn and they just settle with taking medicine for the rest of their lives!
Kate Poka omg I knoww!!!
Kate Poka my dad does too, but I've been slowly trying to expose him to this information.
Kate Poka so true I will follow this plan and win the fight I hope your dad does also
Your dad has probably heard all the solutions before.
Kate Poka my pops always been big with high blood pressure. I feel in line with this aswell. After learning about insulin I've lost crazy weight and he took notice. he now is in a healthy range with weight and blood pressure. he dident want to hear it till he seen me do it first. Stubborn old men lol
Your explanation is so clear any body can understand. Thank you so much
Can you address the link between mouth breathing and high blood pressure, and sleep apnea?
Really appreciate the work you are doing. You explain with so much clarity
Thanks for your wonderful comment!
You've given me such good information to pass along to my Keto support group. Knowledge is Power!
Good summary
Cut out the sugar ? ! !
Dr. Berg people like you must live for ever
Thx for the information I will go and study it better
I follow your videos for the great explanations of the causes and effects of the topic at hand. I tell people I meet most everywhere I go about your video's . Especially in the food sections in the stores I visit . I'm always up for real healthy advise , like your video's . Keep up your good work !
Thank you!!
Once again Dr. Berg, you never fail to deliver! This was an excellent video! It was very informative and helpful.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Dr. BERG.
You're very welcome!
Good to understand the full picture and causes and how things interact with each other. Raise potassium levels people!
Just sayin😄🌺
very enlightening. When do we stop treating body parts and start treating the whole body system? You are a beacon of hope.
Thank you for simplifying what has become for all intents and purposes a complicated issue.
Dr. Eric Berg is a gentleman and scholar, who wears nice shirts
Ivañ Killins blue is my favorite color! He wears it almost as well as his dimples 🤓
Agreed !! But he writes his upper case E s differently sometimes !!! ???
How about if you don’t have dietbities but you got high blood pressure
👍👍👍
🤣🤣these shirts will heal you in minutes😆
You have the most calming voice. Can’t listen to you at night or I’m fast asleep 😴
OMG! His voice affects me the same way! So happy to hear I'm not alone ❤️
@firstlast affects me this way too 🙃
Same with me. It's called ASMR, if you're not aware of it.
I listen to his videos via pillow speaker. Really calms me down and helps me sleep.
Over the Xmas period i indulged in more sugar foods and pastries than i normally would. I felt really strange last night, couldnt sleep, thought i might not wake up. I gave thanks this morning to still be here. I checked my bp 145/79 then 155/80 . I immediately looked for Dr Bergs videos..... thank you so much for being my on call Doctor. I feel better knowing what im dealing with and how to bring my bp back down to normal....❤
Thanks Dr Berg, i suffer from HBP and am taking meds for 5-7years now. 2weeks into keto and IF. 9lbs lost. At least my pulse is dropping according to my fitbit. I hope so much to lose not only weight, but also meds
Have you had any side effects from the meds?
I too , high BP. Who determined 140 over 80 the benchmark. I have been taking my blood pressure for 10 years after a ruptured brain aneurysm. I do a scar tissue from the surgery. I am 68 years young! I am not saying there isn't a problem. I agree with you because taking berberine has seemed to help.
Thank you for your last video on blood pressure and breathing exercize.
It does work and after whatvI have been through it is one key to success. Thank you and I do believe there is a serious relationship between potassium and blood pressure.
finally an explination that makes sense Thank you Dr. Berg
I just stared working out and it help alot..good luck everyone ..
Dr. Berg is an angel sent to save lives. Thanks so much 🙏
have been to so many doctors about my hypertension.
Any health problems I come across. Dr eric berg is googled straight away. The guy is amazing 👏
Same!
Love this man!!
Im so grateful. Thank you Dr. Berg. You've save my life. Im lerning a lot from you....it's so interesting. 💜💜💜
ditto!
This is the first video that I watched, and the quality is well deserved appreciation. Thank you so much, doctor, for this video. I'm a subscriber now.
Thank you, thank you , Dr Berg!!!🙏🏽
Thanks for keeping us updated so that we can live a better life without all the meds..We are being healthy thanks to you...keep up the great work and God bless you and your family
I have hypertension since I was 33, doc said genetic since my blood report looked normal. I'm on losartan 100mg daily. I just started keto properly 2 days ago, I am going to keep everyone here how its going after 14 days. :)
Update please?
@@user-vg8ez9cu6u LOL...
5 months ago and no update ?
Thank you Dr. Berg for giving us your time to explain the cause and effect of many illnesses and the remedies in a very comprehensive way. I have taken plenty of notes and I shall make some changes to my diet, especially eating far more vegetables and cut down carbs.
"...you might not be doing that." Your dry humor is delightful. Dr. B.
Thank you , Dr. Eric Berg ... I've gain lots of info from you from all your posting videos 🙏
Very eye opening info. I, too, always connected high blood pressure with the level of my salt intake or my stress levels at the time whenever my blood pressure shot up. This puts a wholly different focus on how I've been managing my health. Thank you for the clear break down of details. Truly helps.
Thank you 👏🏻
Well I think we owe him a review on Google at a minimum..... This video is mind-blowing
fabulous guidance
Wow, thanks for this video. Great information here.
You are always spot on.
Thank you Dr. Berg for sharing so much knowledge that too free....God Bless you
I gave you a really good review!
I so glad I stumbled across you.Thank you you've help me SO much!God bless!
Interesting. Nice to get a clear explanation.
Thank you for this valuable information on High Blood pressure.
"High Insulin factor from high carb diet creates stiffened arteries that lead to high blood pressure" . "insulin Resistance makes your arteries stiff, whcih causes sodium retention and low potassium" This is extremely helpful. Thanks. RileyJFox
You are GREAT DR. BERG! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVELY WIFE.
Great to hear Kennedy. Learnt today too. And now from you who tested it
I watch, and listen, to all these videos, even if I do not have the symptom described in the subject title.

Thank you for sharing the video. Good coverage! You are the best, doc.
Update please. Any improvements?
Dr Berg, The best place to go for health data!!!
Dr. Eric Berg has been a blessing to me. I love telling everybody that I meet who needs Dr. Berg’s wisdom. Cheers!
Thanks for your support!
I concur with you about Dr Berg. I tell as many people as I can about him. Years ago used to be dr. David Williams dr. David Williams dr. David Williams,.. Which Doctor David Williams is an amazing physician and a good naturopath. But modern days Dr. Berg is the man... and I hope that he becomes famous.. but doesn't let it go to his head, and that he continues to give us the same information for free that he always has.😊😀
Very informative and detail information
Absolutely Outstanding video Dr.Berg! Thank you for all you do educate so many of us.

you are literally the best thankyou for this information
Thank you for your comment. Appreciate it!
Great work DR.Berg!😉😊
Detox first with green smoothies then Keto all the way.!!! Great Video
I can listen this man every day,his voice is so calming. He speaks so nice ...
Thanks Dr Berg you speak the TRUTH which is so GREAT and i can understand it what's going on with my BODY.
Thank you for the help and info made a lot of sense
All the people love Dr Berg, ohhhhhh my God.
He is a lucky Doc❤️
Glad to be an inspiration.
I went to my dr. And she said my blood pressure is high , and once she told me that I was aware of it. Woke up from a sleep and i felt the pressure up i immediately searched why and like always you never disappoint and give ways to “HELP”. I went to Walmart and got some rich foods high in potassium / avocado / and immediately i was feeling better and calm. THANK YOU & super grateful for all ur videos.
You're a true messiah. Your lectures has changed my life. I was experiencing the same issues. I've consulted doctors, undergone tests but my hypertension had no reasons. Thank you Dr. 👍
I love this doctor. So educational and it’s free. 😊
Glad to be an inspiration.
Dr Berg is amazing. I couldn't lose any weight until I started keto and intermittent fasting and the weight keeps falling off.
You are the best ❤❤
I try to stay away from the doctors. But I do have to go to keep my CDL. I was on BP medicine so I had to keep my BP in check. After my last CDL physical, the doctor took me off BP medicine because I had lost about 45lbs because of the Keto diet and intermittent fasting. I feel great and my energy levels are fantastic. I also started supplementing with B-12 and it’s unbelievable what a difference it has made.
sharing with my family now.. I thank you a lot🙂
