Vic was/is one HELL of a singer! Such an underrated/underappreciated talent... the entire band was! Real Metal fans know just how special bands like Shok Paris really are,no doubt!
Shok Paris,Helloween, and Loudness. I connect those 3 like I connect Nirvanna, Pearl Jam,and Soundgarden. Or Alice in Chains,Stone Temple Pilots, and Days of the New.
This is from the Supreme Era of Power/Shred mixed with Traditional metal. Along with bands like fifth angel, Vicious Rumors, Savatage, Sanctuary etc... love this era of music history .. thanks for the upload
There are a ton of great trad bands from that era: Leatherwolf / Warrior / Malice / Racer X / Armored Saint / Lion / Loudness / TT Quick / TNT / Artch / Breaker / Lizzy Borden / Griffin / Chastain / Helstar / Obsesson / Liege Lord etc..
Holy shit what a fucking sick track. I'm so thankful to still be finding such classic songs after years of listening to this genre. So many hidden gems
Vic is a powerhouse and Ken is a monster.. I spent 2 months rehearsing with Vic and some other guys for a band that never played a live show.....what a great experience! glad I had the chance to meet Vic!
You got what it takes to take what I got I take the time to make you come undone I've got what it takes to give you what you want I'm going to leave you breathless, wanting so much more I know you need me tonight You know I want you now, right now The heat from touching you warms me up to what I want to do And then I just gotta have more, more of your love The fire when you're so near warms me up I ain't leaving here And then I just gotta have more Girl you're the best thing that I've ever had I didn't know 'till just now that I need you so bad And there's a good time in store for us tonight Until then, you know I'm gonna keep you in my sights tonight I know you need me tonight You know I want you now, right now
Our band opened up for them at a Rainbow Gardens gig in Erie, PA in 1984 for Osiecki's music, they were great! Very cool vocalist who was very polite and thanked the opening band from the stage when they came on!
I remember seeing this on the Head Bangers Ball, in 1988 too bad many of these bands never made it Big. you can just imagine most of them were thinking while making a music video & New LP release " we made it!" we are gonna be Huge!
When I was a young kid in the 80s I thought the singer was from Japan. Loudness was coming from there and I thought this was from the east. I was wrong. Great band.
I just happen to think of this band from headbangers ball. I remembered that they kicked ass and I knew they were from Cleveland. I would have loved to see them live.
I could swear they were from Japan the first time I heard them, the backing vocals sound a lot like Loudness. Fantastic band, Steel and Starlight is a CLASSIC. They should've been huge.
Wow great sound, and powerful vocals, i remember seeing them in the tape shelf in the music store and always passed them up, ill have to find their albums. Great band.
Man ..I can't believe it's been 30 years almost to the date Concrete Killers surfaced...Seen them on a I.R.S. records weekend in Detroit with Seduce and buddies band Devour April 1989..Pistons were on top that year too They didn't play this song because the vocal Harmonies we're too tough to pull off live.. that's what the guitarist Eric told us

ya right mbaba15....they opened up for PRETTY MAIDS and VOW WOW ,,,,ALOT Your still awsome if ya still love metal and beyound...KEEP HEAD BANGIN!! HOLD THE IRONS HIGH!!!!
I'm glad I never heard this in the 80s ...cause I would've called it Pop and hated it, haha, I was a Thrash Metal kid ; ) I probably would've deemed it crap by that silly band name alone. Now, thirty years later, I like it, great sound and just the right portion of cheesiness.
Nothing beats good old 80s metal.🔥🎸🤘
The fact that this band isn't more widely known and appreciated is fucking absurd. This stuff kicks ass.
Don't know why you still can only buy Steel and Starlight and Full Metal Jacket .This Shit is pissing me off.
totally agree
Rest in Peace Ken Erb.
You were an inspiration to us all.
Vic was/is one HELL of a singer! Such an underrated/underappreciated talent... the entire band was! Real Metal fans know just how special bands like Shok Paris really are,no doubt!
Brian Reddish I'm glad I discovered them back in the day from the "The Hidden" movie sndtrck '87
I agree!
I always loved finding great Metal bands who had songs on Horror and Fantasy film soundtracks back in the 80s and 90s.
Is tht pic inspiration from the great divide data format!

Metal church is another great one. I could imagine savatage and metal church being on tour together
@@gravemaster8747 Crimson Glory and Fates Warning, too

80's in Cleveland was an awesome time for being a head banger. The metal seen was thriving. So many local band it was awesome.
The metal scene back then was thriving EVERYWHERE!
Holy shit what a fucking sick track. I'm so thankful to still be finding such classic songs after years of listening to this genre. So many hidden gems

Took me back to the 80's. ✌✌✌✌
Vic Hix once stated in an interview that he did not like this song that much.... unbelievable!!! This is purest gold.
Closest to Loudness than anyone else 🤘🎸🎸🎸

Hell, yeah! Classic Cleveland metal at its finest!
Fixing to go to Columbus Ohio it would be so awesome to meet these guys one of my favorite underdog bands
懐かしくて涙が出た

I had both these guys LP's. They were great!
I've heard of these guys but didn't hear them till today 🤘🏻
The best.Congratulations.
I remember seeing this on the Head Bangers Ball, in 1988 too bad many of these bands never made it Big. you can just imagine most of them were thinking while making a music video & New LP release " we made it!" we are gonna be Huge!
They lived for the craft. Some made money...others did not.
I feel like I lived in a cave or something in the 80's...I never heard of them back then. These guys are awesome!
When I was a young kid in the 80s I thought the singer was from Japan. Loudness was coming from there and I thought this was from the east. I was wrong. Great band.
Excellent band...Underrated
I love their old songs. 😊👍🎶 Their music was similar to W.A.S.P.+Judas Priest in the past.
OMG! What a sound ! Why am I just hearing this ? What a good band..New Fan !
This was one of those bands who somehow fell through the cracks. And it was a damn shame, too. People don't know an awesome thing when it's out there.
What a voice!
Cleveland really does rock.
Not these days, unfortunately. Every goddamned place plays Country music now.
@AudiophileTubes You have to go to the Metal shows. They are still in CLE, and Akron, not every weekend like it was on the 80s, but quite often.
KILLER KILLER KILLER metal song!
very awesome band,under rated.
Holy shit this is bloody awesome music, never heard of them before
Thanks for letting me know about the site Victor! This some really good stuff on here. Kevin k
I just happen to think of this band from headbangers ball. I remembered that they kicked ass and I knew they were from Cleveland. I would have loved to see them live.

They are labeled Cleveland, most members were. Vic Hix (the singer is from Winterville oh, 30 minutes from me) A very down to earth dude!
Ran into Vic at Walmart yesterday. New stuff is coming
An alltime favorite of mine!!!
Pure classic metal!!! Good singer!
Vic Hix has such a powerful voice. I rank him right up there with RJD!
He does sound alot like Dio. Very good eare.
@@georgelynch7218 Sounds more like Blackie Lawless to me
Saw him live many times. Always sounded this good live. Unbelievable talent. Cleveland's best Metal vocalist.
Hell yeah!!Many thanks for uploading this diamond...finally in HQ video ;)
Classic Cleveland metal.
Отличная группа!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

I work with the lead singer. victor is a good guy in real life, and loves rock and roll
Where does he work? What kind of industry?
Awesome!
vocals remind me of old Loudness
Funny I just listened to their song On Your Feet before this and I thought the exact same thing.
This takes me back to Cleveland. Good job, boys. From Barbara, friend of Pat Kellogg.
I love Pat Kellogg. What a beautiful headbanging woman.
2022 🤘🏼

I heard their song on your feet which was used in the sci fy horror from 1987 The Hidden
killer guitars and voice!! even backing vocals fit so organically
Great song. It has a Savatage / Jon Oliva feel to it.
Yes, it does. Also strong shades of Michael Schenker and Uli Roth.
I'm thinking more like a Loudness sorta sound almost.
Vic looked like Jon, but Jon had a much better voice (although Vic’s is good too)
Shok Paris toured with Savatage.
Brutales !!! Temazo 🤘🤘👍
2021 y aun en el aguante de la puta vieja guardia¡¡¡
This is most excellent!
reminds me of WASP (2019) I'll never forget it, I'll be back soon
Some Minoru Niihara feel on that killer vocals! So fucking great band! Stay heavy from Chile.

They're big in Japan.... or is it Greece?!
Kickass!!!
Has that guitarists have inspiration from Dave and the heavy Beat Band? Qaso was wasp
Aftershok

He sold that V for 5k. Told me the story in person. He replaced it with a Edward's.
