- Harshit Pawar is a boy of few words. Born in 2007, he is 16 years old and came to the World Juniors 2024 with an Elo of 2132. But he managed to perform amazingly well. He not only beat the top seed of the event Abhimanyu Mishra but also scored his maiden IM norm, gaining 180 Elo points in the process! From 2132, he is now 2312 Elo rated! We speak to Harshit at the end of the 10th round and get his thoughts on his huge leap and how it was made possible.

This defeat shocked Abhimanyu Mishra so much that he lost another match to another player rated 300 elo points below him.
