    This was super cool. The bros came out and speedrun their game, and many other potential games. And the commentators knew to just sit back and let them do their thang.

    Vidit always brings positive vibes in such interviews and makes them fun to watch. He has this rare quality of being immediately likeable to anyone even if they don't know him.

    What a rare treat. This should be the standard post-game treatment, at least for games between top players. It's sad that it only seems to be draws in which both players will analyse together.

      Would be difficult for both parties especially the losing side to agree to join in the analysis after a decisive game... especially when it's classical

      It would be awesome to see it more often but I know I wouldn't want to go over a 4 hour game with the giy who just beat me lol I imagine the top players feel the same after a loss most times

    It's funny how in the recap, Hikaru is moving the white pieces and Vidit is moving the black ones, even though they actually played with the colors reversed.

    This segment of the post game interview should be called "Alternate Ending". 😂 I love it. These players are essentially playing another game but while thinking out loud. It's very good for us fans.

    super idea, please, still making more of these debates, not just in drawings, its very very interesting to see in which lines and stuff both of them were thinking during the games, so we have a more sounding aproach of the reality of the matches!!!!!

    I hope Fide will continue to let the players debate the positions like this. It is really cool. Most of us won't get it, but it is nice nevertheless. Do it for every tournament if possible!

    We are so blessed as lovers of this game.
    This tech and vibe in chess truly makes more and more people want to learn and get into it. I'm a basic player 1500+- area. And I just love learning and watching this type of interactions it makes me think better when I play.
    Also like years ago you would've never seen GMs do this type of stuff . So we really are blessed

    I didn’t think Vidit could get this far, glad I was wrong! He’s always had the talent but now I think for the first time he’s got his nerves under control and has learned to close out games against the best. I’m rooting for him in the candidates even over Pragg!

    I love the analysis by both players after games - it brings an entirely new element to it, compared to the engine or a commentator playing as the other side.Hilarious to see Hikky knock the French (defense) after calling Iranians emotional earlier in the tournament. Certified xenophobe.
    Looks like Vidit and Hikaru could have stayed there doing this until the end of the final game.
