This was super cool. The bros came out and speedrun their game, and many other potential games. And the commentators knew to just sit back and let them do their thang.
Vidit always brings positive vibes in such interviews and makes them fun to watch. He has this rare quality of being immediately likeable to anyone even if they don't know him.
Yeah you won't feel boring watching him, he is very friendly towards everyone and the way he speak with smile in his face the surrounding get happy with him
What a rare treat. This should be the standard post-game treatment, at least for games between top players. It's sad that it only seems to be draws in which both players will analyse together.
Would be difficult for both parties especially the losing side to agree to join in the analysis after a decisive game... especially when it's classical
It would be awesome to see it more often but I know I wouldn't want to go over a 4 hour game with the giy who just beat me lol I imagine the top players feel the same after a loss most times
@@nictamer8754 Yeah considering he could make more money than pretty much anyone else at the tournament by doing other things than attending this post-game interview, i would considering him gracious with his time.
It's funny how in the recap, Hikaru is moving the white pieces and Vidit is moving the black ones, even though they actually played with the colors reversed.
This segment of the post game interview should be called "Alternate Ending". 😂 I love it. These players are essentially playing another game but while thinking out loud. It's very good for us fans.
were you the one commenting on jaipur dialogue post? U commented that u were an exmuslim. If so then great to see you here. exmuslim channels and chess. strange how interests align.
super idea, please, still making more of these debates, not just in drawings, its very very interesting to see in which lines and stuff both of them were thinking during the games, so we have a more sounding aproach of the reality of the matches!!!!!
Damn, this was amazing! Seeing two brilliant minds work together to understand positions and games is such a treat! I love the moments when you can see that they wordlessly understand each other and nod and then riff off the entire line that they both were thinking!
I hope Fide will continue to let the players debate the positions like this. It is really cool. Most of us won't get it, but it is nice nevertheless. Do it for every tournament if possible!
We are so blessed as lovers of this game. This tech and vibe in chess truly makes more and more people want to learn and get into it. I'm a basic player 1500+- area. And I just love learning and watching this type of interactions it makes me think better when I play. Also like years ago you would've never seen GMs do this type of stuff . So we really are blessed
I didn’t think Vidit could get this far, glad I was wrong! He’s always had the talent but now I think for the first time he’s got his nerves under control and has learned to close out games against the best. I’m rooting for him in the candidates even over Pragg!
Chess has been studied to the level of a science unlike most games and these these are top chess scientists so it’s amazing to see them analyze together.
I love the analysis by both players after games - it brings an entirely new element to it, compared to the engine or a commentator playing as the other side.Hilarious to see Hikky knock the French (defense) after calling Iranians emotional earlier in the tournament. Certified xenophobe. Looks like Vidit and Hikaru could have stayed there doing this until the end of the final game.
I want this with Magnus and Hikaru.. why don't they do this more often rather than those useless questions from so called "presenters" like Kaja.. Just let these GMs talk
It's so amazing to see two of the best players in the world analyzing their game together. Imagine seeing Fischer doing this in this same manner. I think in 40 years people looking back at this it will truly be one of the best times of chess. Magnus Hikaru era.

The kind of chess content we want. Very enjoyable. Didnt understand a word they said😂

I totally agree. He has even quit youtube just to focus on chess.
yep he always used to gain edge over others and then blunder something simple under pressure
15 mins of vd talking about chess is everything 🔥🔥
Great to see FIDE being creative and giving us something really good!

Vidit's such a chess crush...😍
best duo to explain chess
Two mind readers have a conversation.
bruh they are so good. They find top engine move 95% of the time. Thats why they are agreeing on the same exact plan

the commentate for 7 hours every day during these matches, so i think it’s fine to give them a rest
That's why commentators love Hikaru on any interviews. He will do all the talking for them 😂
They both stream so they know how games are analysed for audience. Pay cut for David because these two did his job😂
