I had a 2004 SE-R Spec V. Was a blast until it got t-boned.
People who never have will just never know. Its way more fun to drive a car that like at its limit than a damn hellcat at 50%. Tracking a little car with good setup is a damn hoot!

Nope.... give me the Hellcat with better suspension parts and lap that Sentra all day long.
It wouldnt though. You would have to stop and let brakes cool, change tires, fuel, so many times it wouldn't stand a chance. Thats why you see so few videos of anyone tracking a big bodied muscle car. Especially on tracks most people can afford to drive on the weekends. They aren't massive tracks with lots of straights.
Let’s be real, if you comparing a hellcat to a Nissan Sentra race car thing. Nissan has done a good enough job. Lol.
That and yeah, the Nissan on most tracks may not necessarily be faster, but that’s not the point. It’s a nice cheap way to get into racing for people who want to try to learn how to race for real
Was a really fun series. Had the privilege to drive the #94 Sentra cup car last year. Going to miss it this year!

The Micra series is partly why I picked up a Micra as my daily\beater. Glad they didn't end the series when they decided to end the sale of the Micra in Canada, and put the Sentra on the track!

But viewing this, I get the fun factor of pushing a manageable car to it's limits, but this car needs to be at 200 hp minimal! They won't. Renault owns Nissan, and since the whole fiasco with Carlos Ghosn (the president of Nissan who fled Japan in a suitcase) they're being cautious. They're doing the same thing as Mazda... Going "premium". It's working better for Mazda tho. Nissans idea of premium is still cheap.

Did they all break down before they reached the finish line? Most Nissan cars have a horrible reputation of their engines breaking down way before they get into the 50k range.
Worst CVT in the world! Never buy a Nissan/Renault! You have been warned!
You can buy the manual transmission and not worry about it.
And then you can get cheap scrap parts from all the ones with good bodies but broken CVTs.
^^^This. My manual Nissan/ Renault was bulletproof for 13 years and 220,000km before I sold it for something newer.

So they charge you more to remove an interior and other options, add a manual transmission, coilovers and a rollcage. Sounds exactly like Porsche when it comes to charging you more money to remove stuff. Sorry Nissan but I don't see these selling well when you can find a used WRX, STI, Focus RS/ST, VW Golf etc etc for less money and larger aftermarket.
