I had a nightmare experience trying to jailbreak my Vita, and after 2 days and 10 hours of work, I gave up because I was afraid I might lose the ability to even play my own Vita games. This PSP jailbreak was a breeze and I'm glad I didn't talk myself out of it.

I ran into problems immediately. Got to the Unlock my Vita page fine, and when I press Unlock I get an Error code ERROR:Could not corrupt the JSarray. Any ideas?

the store isn’t available anymore unfortunately. you can still play online etc fine with the jailbreak on because it has ban protection if sony even still checks the psp servers lmao

For the root directory when you copied over those four files it's asking me if I want to overwrite the already existing PSP folder is that what I want to do will that already overwrite and delete anything else it's in folder?
So an SD card is not needed? Great. Maybe a windows pc is not required either? Unzip to a PHONE with SD card reader? And how to make the cfw permanent not semi permanent?

PSP's are designed to look for older protocols that aren't in use today. If you didn't build out a specific chunk of your wifi for old game systems there's a fair chance your off the shelf router doesn't even let you use stuff old enough to be seen by the PSP's. If you have an old wifi router laying around you might be able to spin up an old b/g wep network but that's about the only option, maybe you could adhoc one via software from a laptop but I don't know without playing with it. Best bet is to do it all through the cord/pc
The way I got around it is to connect the psp to my phone as a wifi hotspot with the security disabled. It's the new WPA protocols that the psp has trouble with

You don't need a psp emulator. The PSP will play PSP iso files. The emulators are for playing different console games on the psp

You get a ripper for the system you’re interested in, and that will let you dump the rom file to your PC, allowing you to play them on an emulator.

They are very picky with wifi security. Try using your phone as a wifi hotspot (with no security enabled) and connect the psp to that
