Not to mention the fact that the PSP happens to be one of, if not currently the best price:quality emulation console out there. Playstation needs to come out with the PSP 2 baby.
They are struggling to have healthy amount of PS exclusives, they don't want to divide the market anymore and I dont think that having a handheld that just streams from Your PS5 would sell.

when I had a psp growing up, I would connect it to our 65" sony tv and play GTA Vice City Stories. What a great time. Probably not the best idea to have an 8 year old playing gta though lmao
I had a PSP GO and they were cool and all but the games library was completely virtual and online which was a little ahead of its time in 2009. They used a non standard M2 memory card which were hard to find and didn't come in large capacities, also internet here in Australia was quite slow so downloading games took ages on the 802.11b WiFi. I also owned a 1000, 2000 and 3000 before my GO, the original rectangular form factor had far superior ergonomics as the GO tended to cause hand cramps after extended gaming periods. The only thing the GO really had going for it was easier to fit in your pocket. I suspect Sony quickly realized the original form factor was better hence why the following PSP, the Vita was the same shape as the original.

Great console, only looses to the PSVita, that is high underrated.
You gotta make your content like this, on such great consoles
3:35... Man I was gonna feel weird at first typing that but thank you Austin for saying it first, I was 16 and my bro was 12 when we got ours in 2006 lmfao soooo many saved videos hahaha
I still have my original PSP from 2005. It's in absolutely mint condition and I absolutely love it still.
i remember when my parents bought one of these for me, countless childhood memories, im sure its still floating around in my basement
I remember them SOCOM fireteam bravo days, glitching thru walls and fences 😂 good times
SOCON Deez Nuts
"Besticle testicle" 😭😭😭
Also, that last dock, incredible! I need to buy another PSP. I miss playing Dragon Ball: Shin Budokai and Def Jam: Fight for NY so much.
bro predicted the future💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Psp was some of the best times especially in 2005 !
Both the PSP and PSVita were well ahead of their time, and severely underappreciated. Some of the greatest bangers today were released on those. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, as well as giving us not just one, but TWO whole GTA classics, Liberty City and Vice City, PORTABLY, as well as Tekken 5 Dark resurrection, Tekken 6, Soul Calibur, and much more.
Man the psp.. I still got mine. Opening "Pandora's Box" sure was fun.
the PSP 1000 UMD door reminds me of popping a MiniDisc in my walkman, I think they took some inspiration from the MD players they made in the 90's --> early 2000's

For anyone who cares
The song is Home by Three Days Grace
Love the band def one of there best songs
I been jamming that song for a few days now. I miss that rock era lol.
@@iNICK20 ikr
I only recently got into rock recently because I grew around a brother who loved rap and I feel so stupid for missing out on this when I was a kid
Hi thanks for this! Just watched this video and i wondered the same thing and i checked the whole comments here and couldn't find anything but yours. Thanks again !!
That was dope haha
Oooooo im early to a verified comment

Ooh tick mark
yes guys
damn i remember watching your channel way back
The PSP 2000 Darth Vader edition was the sickest model
When ever he pulls out a new thing I always think will he say ‘this is illegal
This reminds me of the frustration of having to always readjust to the diff controls of JPN from PAL/NA games
Everyone talking about the PSP-ness and nobody talking about the salute the was originally a high five as he didn’t want to be left hanging.
3:55 the PSP in the US shipped with 1.50, while earlier japanese PSPs shipped with 1.00
Bro predicted the future by predicting the ps5 portal though not being portable
Man the nostalgia…,I remember playing spider-man on the psp with my tiny hands like a decade ago…
I remember wanting this as a kid
You can live those dreams by getting the PPSSPP emulator on your phone and connecting a PS4 controller. Even better nowadays
@@Madderthanjoker yeah like I have a powerful phone and a ps4 controller
when I had a psp growing up, I would connect it to our 65" sony tv and play GTA Vice City Stories. What a great time. Probably not the best idea to have an 8 year old playing gta though lmao
Nice. I also played GTA when I was 8.
@@nndrww me too
I played when I was 3
@@aspirus_maximus woah
It's so cool to see someone grooving on the Sony PSP , it was ... And still is one of the greatest pieces of gaming tech
That stereo stand sounds amazing even through RUclips’s compression and phone speakers!
I had the stereo stand with my first PSP and I LOVED IT. God I miss my PSP so much
Not the stand the case w/speakers I'd what I meant
Damn I remember having a 3000 and being jealous of how cool the GO looked with the slide controls
I guess i was in the minority because I never liked the psp go and always preferred my psp 3000. I liked physical games
The Force Unleashed was the best game imho. Loved that thing.
Yes. It was so much different than the PS3/XBOX 360 version. Good times
Anyone else remember that Mongolian looking Mandalorian on Bespin?
Let's not forget about Lethal Alliance, which was an exclusive.
That game was crazy! So much content and extra goofy stuff.
@@themandalorian996 I remember talking to a friend in middle school about it and he was baffled when I told him taking down the star destroyer was a cutscene in my version.
Ultimate psp:
Jailbreak:
Overclock
Third party micro SD to psp adapter
128 GB storage
All games
I like how Austin really said the truth about something most people would hide, this is why I watch his videos
I’m 18 so just a little too young to remember the psp coming out but from what I’ve seen I feel like that was what people did before smartphones were common
16:26 Anybody noticed the Broll Written eh? haha Editors you got caught XD
I thought it was a gag and was waiting what it means
1:18 as a game for portable console, this Gran Turismo is pretty good!
I really loved my psp 2000, i remember modding it. And the memory card is swappable to a adapter that accepts microSD cards. I remember having a 8gb sd card in it, and having like 6 games with all of my save files on it, all available portable. Sadly the batteries that i have tried have awful performance. They usually die after the first two months. Would love to revive my psp slim.
Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron was my favorite PSP game. I'm still upset one of my parents broke the screen and didn't tell me.
How ?
@@rasmusleo5586 straight up dropped it while they were going through my shit, but that's a whole other thing and it was years ago
I learned everything about life with the PSP. Everything!
Bro PSP still looks modern to this day. You could do so many. Customize the theme, movies, music, games, umds, internet surfing.
I'd sport the psp along with the latest smartphone if it gets an upgrade tbh
6:04 it works on the psp 3000
It was just released when there was only the 2000 and 1000 available
When they were doing the games, I was like: please let there be GTA vc stories in that pile.
Legendary game bro.
Still play it to this day.
I loved my psp, my childhood was so happy. I saved all summer for one then my parents bought it for me for my birthday
I still have my PSP. My little brother got it for me when he was in college for Christmas. He said you always got me the coolest stuff for Christmas growing up. So my turn☺️
I think I own the same PSP-3000 that was featured here, and one of the coolest things I liked about the design was the pearlescent finish that it had. I think such an effect is created using mica under resin, but I'm dying to know just how they did it.
Got given a 3003 last month when I bought a load of games off marketplace.. Just ordered a new lcd for it.
