Try the PS2 while it is laying down. My old PS2 like that no longer reads discs while it is in the upright position but works just fine while laying down.
Austin, the reason people are buying more Xbox 360s is because the modding is awesome. There are so many games that aren't backwards compatible on X1 or newer consoles and they can essentially all be run on a modded 360. Potentially also could be run on a modded XB1 but for many that's still a primary console and the modding can cause bans fairly easily on the newer consoles.

The fake accessories and the high price tag makes this off putting. Most if not all of these came with fake controllers, psu’s etc. The discs drives in the PS2’s are a joke, they’re just not as well built as the ones in other consoles. Disc Read Error. Best thing to do is to clean that laser with a qtip dipped in isopropyl alcohol. And then just switch to using a harddrive with OPL.
What's funny is that the third party Wiimote seems to be pretty good because the speaker is just as bad as the official one and the cursor flicking on screen also happens with official Wiimotes if the sensor bar isn't placed appropriately.

Region modding a GameCube involves soldering a single jumper wire so if I had to guess, those GameCubes we're bought in bulk from Japan for very cheap, quickly region modded, then sold for 130 on Walmart

Keep that 360 as long as you can. It has the Jasper motherboard which was much more reliable, and after they fixed the RROD issue eith the OG Xboxes. The PS2 has a worn out laser. Easy to fix if you are willing to tear it apart and swap it out with a replacement part.
It's also possible that the PS2 was only tested in the horizontal position, causing the appearance of a fully functioning, like-new console. I've had fat PS2s that I had to rotate depending on the time of year to account for humidity and hot/cold weather.
@ApplejackSepticEye Yeah, I had a phat PS2 that I had to literally flip it upside down in or for it read discs. It worked for a few more years until it eventually just stopped turning on and my parents broke down and bought me a new PS2 slim.

The stickers on most NINTENDO's said the same thing on all US systems. And The PS2, well you could have tried running it sitting down and not on the Side of the PS2. I think, Half of every PS2 had an Issue being able to load correctly, when the PS2 had been Set up to run on the Side of the ps2. also, those Unnamed Controllers and etc., may have just been over cleaned where parts and the name had been completely removed. sometimes, when something is just really dirt and grime filled, you have to do what you have to do! all lot of the problems could be from over cleaning. but, some of the items may, be fake.. or maybe I am wrong and they are all fake.
The OLED screen wasn't the problem with Atari Pacman, it was always flashy and glitchy and everyone had a very disappointing Christmas the year it came out lol
Thumbs up based solely on the proof of time travel since that gamecube is from 2114. Explains the condition it was in. Also can we have a video excursion where Austin goes to New Mexico and tries to unbury a copy of ET to play on his Atari console?
Japanese gamecubes can be found really cheap and can be swapped to a USA region system by bridging two points on the motherboard, all JP and NA cubes can be swapped very easily
The plug on the Atari is not called an "aux" plug. It's a 3.5mm TRS plug. TRS stands for "tip ring sleeve". The tip has negative voltage, and the ring is positive. The sleeve is the ground. You can use them for audio, power, and video signals. Many old camcorders used the TRS plug as a video output. The TRS plug on cameras has been replaced with Micro HDMI bas the new video output. Camera microphones still use the TRS plug however.
@@rmf99fr hahahahaha yeah it's weird. I think I bought the 360 I have from eBay so I know it's not as reputable as Walmart but it came literally looking brand new
I still got my original ps2 slim and I have a similar problem with the discs not working. PS2 lasers can be a bit temperamental and sometimes it's how the disc is loaded in. I have to physically pick up my ps2 and hold it in a magic angle for it to start reading the disc properly. This might be the issue with this one!!
I actually have a 360 elite that came with forza motorsport 3 and halo 3 odst it came with a hdmi cable and a pair of component cables third party Controller for 189.99 203.00 after tax it had free shipping and it was from Walmart
The Xbox 360 Elite came out after the OG, so the date would be a bit later than launch ones. Also, the main reason why people (including myself from personal experience) bought the Elite was the fact that it was the first console with HDMI. So it would likely be very common to see completely unused Component cables in refurbished systems.
16:15 this is giving me ptsd from when I was a kid and my ps2 stopped reading disks… I think we ended up taking it apart and cleaning the lens for the disk reader and it fixed it but I was like 10 so I’m not 100% sure.
I don’t understand why retailers and scalpers are still trying to charge a premium on used PS5. They are almost always available at MSRP brand new at PlayStation direct or even other retailers.
Hey team, two missions for you : Mission 1 : Making Austin play Halo 3 ODST until he likes it Mission 2 : Putting that PS2 on horizontal position and try reading a disc again.
Those PS2 FAT only like to read horizontal if they read at all. Sometimes a cleaning of the laser can help but otherwise a laser or total drive replacement is the only other fix.
As someone who has basically that exact third party Wii controller, it sucks. The tracking is super sketchy, the speaker in it is way too loud and it just feels mega cheap, compared to a legit Wii remote.
You literally don’t know what you are talking about.
3:07 ohhh that blue on the ds lite looks so pretty
OMG! I just remembered that the Atari used to use two prongs to connect to the antenna for a signal on the back of the TV. Memory lane
I paid £70 (I'm not sure what that is in dollars) for the 2010 250GB 360 Slim. Walmart insane
like a 3DS from CeX is £70 and that's considered expensive, but in the US they pay like $400 for a 3DS from AMAZON 💀💀💀
I actually have a 360 elite that came with forza motorsport 3 and halo 3 odst it came with a hdmi cable and a pair of component cables third party Controller for 189.99 203.00 after tax it had free shipping and it was from Walmart
i feel like if you leave the ps2 sitting up , its stressing out the console , but if u let it sit on its side it works fine 90% of the time
The Xbox 360 Elite came out after the OG, so the date would be a bit later than launch ones. Also, the main reason why people (including myself from personal experience) bought the Elite was the fact that it was the first console with HDMI. So it would likely be very common to see completely unused Component cables in refurbished systems.
"You know what don't feel great, 40-year-old rubber."
- Austin Evans
The n64 controller was top tier. That middle was great to hold while you had to go ham on that joy stick!!
I bought a wii mini about 6 months after they came out for $50 bucks because it was cheaper to do that than buy a new set of joycon/wiimote.
The Luigi's mansion effect was great! Hahaha Kenzie was spooked
16:15 this is giving me ptsd from when I was a kid and my ps2 stopped reading disks… I think we ended up taking it apart and cleaning the lens for the disk reader and it fixed it but I was like 10 so I’m not 100% sure.
try putting the PS2 horizontally ... mine won't read certain games when its sitting vertically.
I don’t understand why retailers and scalpers are still trying to charge a premium on used PS5. They are almost always available at MSRP brand new at PlayStation direct or even other retailers.
13:12 Loving Halo 3 ODST is posible ? xD When shold i start the therapy lesson for you guys ?
Bruh it’s the waveform trivia music
That GameCube controller costs about 20 bucks for a set of 4 with a usb adapter for PC. They're pretty good but mine don't have rumble
That's a Light Sixer 2600, not a bad one! The 4 Switch ones are less favorable
love the mkbhd podcast music 1:55
These consoles were most likely modded to play any region games. Also that shell is obviously not original on the DS lite.
I think Austin just had a seizure 4:01
Let’s go bro! Pumped every time I see a new upload !
The cool thing is that old Atari controller works on the Sega Genesis console. I was able to beat Sonic 3 with it. Since you only need one button
Hey team, two missions for you :
Mission 1 : Making Austin play Halo 3 ODST until he likes it
Mission 2 : Putting that PS2 on horizontal position and try reading a disc again.
Austin with the ps2 you are supposed to put it horizontal for it to read discs
I did not know there was a Wii mini that looked decent great video
Been waiting all saturday for my Austin daddy videos!!
Basically just "lightly used with massive amount is use"
Fr im gay
What happened to the NES? Did it not show up?
You can modify 360s to be emulators, run trainers, get free games. You can't do that on the newer gen Xbox's.
I think that DS lite may be reshelled
Those PS2 FAT only like to read horizontal if they read at all. Sometimes a cleaning of the laser can help but otherwise a laser or total drive replacement is the only other fix.
You have noooo idea... How badly... I want some of these systems .. I miss them sooo much...
Game cube can be unlocked! It’s on built in the mother board US or Japan! Just need some solder!
Doom on the N64 was one of the visually darkest ports of the game.
I got a practically brand new ds lite with original box paper work for $90 cad it is basically spotless of kijii :)
We NEED a looping gif of Austin dancing to the Gamecube startup screen!
As someone who has basically that exact third party Wii controller, it sucks. The tracking is super sketchy, the speaker in it is way too loud and it just feels mega cheap, compared to a legit Wii remote. I mean, I am a Wii snob, and I love the Wii more than I love some of my own family members, but my point stands.
"Your son was about to be born, and you were playing Pokemon?"
"then i put it down" ~this one got me
Unfortunately a Japan version N64 is region locked if im not mistaken...u have to file down the internal slot partitions
Austin, the atari controller IS supposed to be squishy, if it were hard then that would mean they didn't take care of it. It was squishy when I got mine brand new as a kid, ,ore than 35yrs ago.
The DS Lite was also a Japanese one, that color is Japan exclusive, and when I bought mine I imported it for like 50, so it's a rip off. At least the DS is region free
I love your vids man keep up the fantastic work
i cant be too suprised nintendo had stopped making old consoles like these awhile ago yeah u could rlly get every detail of it and scuffs out if u rlly detailed it (also the packaging was not by walmart in fact by what the box says its weird but thats how the 3rd party shipping company shipped it) sometimes it will get shipped by walmart tho
As someone that grew up with the Atari 2600 I can tell you the joysticks were always crap, even when they were new. Just atrocious build quality. Ours broke constantly and needed to be glued back together.
