I really like this one, I probably would have let Boxer win though, because he'd probably find Major Metallo very interesting. Then get him captured or have metallo get damage on goku to allow a sample be collected that way. :) Can't wait for the next one.Especially since we get to spend more time in Dragon Ball Era (Pre Z)

I know people are saying “Goku clone,” but I have one better: instead of Android 16 being modeled after Gero’s son, he genetically engineers his son (or a clone of his son) with Saiyan DNA, and thus we get a Saiyan vs Saiyan fight earlier.

I feel like the "Gero gets Goku's DNA earlier" plotline should be kept for later, like let's say the 23rd Martial Arts Tournament with a Superbo-I mean a Goku clone. However I think the good doctor would delve deeper in alien tech researches (he could find Kami's ship!) and enhance his androids before that, having a nerfed Android saga in DB classic! King Piccolo could be kept for later in Z, maybe in place of the actual android saga, with him somehow freed wishing an immense strength to Shenron, his minions terrorizing the world in place of 16/17/18. That'd be a nice change of narative for once.
Oh and I just thought of that but if you go this route Masako, you'll have fufilled "What if Goku was raised by the RR army" as well, technically.
Reminds me of Dragon Ball Sai- they had an Android Saga in OG DB

This story is really fun. I am happy to see Launch get some more character growth. Can't wait to see what happens with her in the future. This story is so good and I eagerly await the next instalment in a few months :D

This is VERY interesting. This What If suddenly became Top 5 for me.
First off, Launch as a Z-Fighter maybe? That'd be really cool and Launch is so underrated. Would be nice if she decides to continue training, since she actually beat Boksa of all people! She's got potential. Raditz will be even more attracted to her when she can fight back against him in the Beginning of Z...
Then there's Mark and Miguel. Man, this is gonna be sweet. Mark, you can do it! Go get er', tiger!
Lastly, Dr. Gero makes an early appearance... Oh man. Imagine a Captain America-style Saiyan serum that Gero will use to power up the soldiers maybe. And Goku's kidnapped! Will Yamcha, Launch, Krillin and Mark be able to save him? And I bet Big Sis Bulma will be very worried for her little bro.
I'm excited for this What If! Unique scenarios and even a "forgotten" character like Launch possibly becoming a Z-Fighter!
If Good Raditz saw Launch fighting his brother and winning against him, not to mention, how strong Blond Launch is and the way she fights, he might smitten by her.

In this story, Goku (Bocksa) wouldn't be smarter than Bulma, but he would very dextrous and a whizz when it comes to being a mechanic.

Most likely they were able to write down the direction of the balls according to the radar and then go from there. Bulma could've triangulated the approximate location based on the radar and a map.

If a new Android comes from this, it would be called Android 21. I know that would refer to FighterZ or Good Boy 21, but those don’t exist in this story.

I believe that this time Master Roshi may have to intervene in the fight, Mark, Krillin, Yamcha, Lunch and Boxer (Goku). You know what I think will happen here in this scenario, due to the proximity between Lunch and Yamcha and it is likely that the two will end up falling in love with each other, which can be a relief for Tenshinhan, and ALSO for Chaos. Doctor Gero may really want to use the Boxer (Goku) as a guinea pig in his experiments, what happened was an alert, the students at the Turtle School will probably have to ask their master for help, I believe that the King Ax himself will intervene in this fight after all, your daughter will be in the middle of the battle, this is where Chi-Chi will probably gain its brilliance. The Red Patrol saga in Dragon Ball will be more exciting, and will involve a lot more people.
Would be interesting to see “the doctor” converse with Boxer and learn about his interest in mechanics. Was there any hate between Giro and the Brief family at this point? It seems they might have been rivals, but nothing too extreme. If anything, Boxer and Giro might hit it off rather well.

"What if Goku was raised by Piccolo?" Now this idea might be a bit hard, as some how Piccolo Jr would have to exist before his arrival, or Goku just turns up later and some one else put down King Piccolo. But basically I think it would be really funny if Piccolo gave Goku the same treatment he did Gohan, except Goku would love it.
Roshi actually had super glued the fake hair to his head so there still is the scene of him ripping off the fake hair. And an earlier scene he did remarked how it itched like crazy

Is this What If leading to us getting a green haired launch? I mean if calm blue haired launch and fiery blonde launch are being able to remember more from each personalities time in control that would mean we are stepping towards both personalities becoming one personality, like professor hulk in a way. Blue haired launch's calm and methodical way of doing things combined with blonde launch's determination and spirit.
I still just hiiiiiighly doubt Launch would beat Goku/Boxer due to an unpredictable form change.
What if Goku was raised alongside krillin?
That would be good for Launch. Blonde could use strength and brute force while Blue can be smart an tactile kinda Yugi dueling Pegasus in the finals. Maybe they could communicate between each other and eventually form into two separate but one entities
The dr uses the blood of boxer finding out boxer dna isn’t like any normal human (since he’s a sayian) and try’s to create a super warrior using boxer dna which could be called project SW. the SW standing for super warrior but needs a lot of time to make this supper warrior, like I would say at the king piccolo arc where the dr wants to test his new creation and teams up with king piccolo with project SW close to old king piccolo but not quite there

I love that you give blue launch her own fighting style and doesn't make her a useless load. It is a great way to give her something of her own, making a point to show that it is effectively fighting a tag team that keeps swapping out.

Certainly interesting that this What-if will go through so much of Dragon Ball, far more than most on the channel that usually summed up events to get to the DBZ content. With Pilaf being captured, could be a fun way to try and write in exactly how he and his minions got ahold of the Rice cooker that contained King Piccolo. Perhaps the Red Ribbon Army were trying to study it, having only legends to go on since by then most of the world had forgotten about the demon king. Maybe the revived Piccolo unknowingly helps Goku/Boxer in the destruction of the army's headquarters, destroying things in whichever area he's awakened in before escaping with the Pilaf gang, which takes some heat off of Boxer when the final assault commences. This could make for an interesting take on Gero's vendetta, as he blames both Goku and Piccolo for the destruction of the Red Ribbon Army, which could heighten the threat since it would mean Piccolo is a primary target rather than just an obstacle like most of the Z warriors were in the other iterations of the Android saga.
