@@MattGarZero his name is canonically King Furry (and this is dragonball so I'm not entirely sure whether the King part is his actual name or just a title).
The recent Dragonball Z Kakarot game also may have retconned his dog person status. In the game there is a side quest to turn two people from animal people like see in a lot of Dragonball to normal human people, with the explanation that the furry people in Dragonball were all the result of a fad drug called animorphaline that turned humans into the animal people we see throughout Dragonball and much less commonly in Z. The drug is normally reversible but those 2 people took a red ribbon army batch that was poorly made and Goku/Mr. Popo/Bulma have to fix them. As far as I'm aware, this drug was never mentioned before and has not been mentioned since, but with Toriyama's habit of forgetting and retconning things, it might be canon now (in the anime, we did see portraits of presumably past kings in King Furry's office and we know he is aware that Mr. Satan did not defeat Cell andis aware of the Z fighters, so if it's being retconned it's a very recent retcon).
On the one hand, it's a food retcon for establishing why furry people were common in dragonball and hardly ever seen in z on. The drug stopped being commonly used. On the other, it replaces dragonball's weird no explanation needed or wanted strangeness with a sci-fi explanation that just isn't needed. I have no strong preference either way really but there you go. Also some animal type earthlings do still exist outside animorphaline, notably Oolong and Puar (and possibly Shu) but still.
I actually have this make sense in a what if I'm writing where the MHA and Dragon Ball universes are fused. So Ki and Quirks exist side by side.
Roshi existed before quirks and was around when they started to become prominent. In fact he taught many of the first heroes how to use Ki and was a hero himself.
This means quirkless people and people with weak quirks can still be heroes if they learn to manipulate Ki. Ki can also enhance quirks

0:23 Yeah, Toriyama didn't expand much about the government of Earth whether if it was ruled by King Furry or it has nations everywhere like in real life.
Of course with King Piccolo and his Mutant Namekians/"Demons" rampage and defeat by Master Mutaito (mentor of Roshi and Shen), the world and its population might have been unified into one nation after recovering from the aftermath.
It looked like Bocksa, Hercule and Piccolo Sr. are having an Enemy Mine teamup from the thumbnail.
And Raditz still hasn't shown up. I am so elated you're giving OG Dragon Ball its fair shake
I think this might be one of the longest what ifs that hasn't touched DBZ yet. I don't think we'll get Raditz until at least episode 11 or maybe 12 at the most.

It’s good to see Mark and Bocksa vs King Piccolo. I wonder how the Piccolo Jr. and Saiyan Arc would change going forward especially with Gohan and Videl.
Well, since it seems they are going to raise Piccolo Jr. this time around, I say things are going to change quite significantly. Even more so than they already have.
Interestingly enough, we won't get Gohan- not how we know him. Bocksa, after all, wasn't raised by Grampa Gohan, so that name won't be used. Additionally, with Bocksa being raised more 'politely' than in the original, Gohan might very well end up being a total non-combatant with Chi-Chi taking charge of his tutelage entirely. If Bocksa marries Chi-Chi at all in this retelling.
How will this change with Spopovich, cause I'm thinking if he were to enter the 23rd Martial Arts Tournament he could be defeated by Bocksa and in the 24th defeated by Mark, making him show hostility towards the Turtle School, Satan Dojo and Capsule Corp. to the point he would try to attack them out of impulse. As for Gohan, I think he should either be called, Jacket Briefs, Jean Briefs or Blazer Briefs. Just saiyan'

Now we see the supreme trio of warriors Z, Mark, Boxer and Yajirobe. It will be very funny to see Piccolo Jr called Hercules of Sensei and Miguel de Mama in this story. Lol ...
A second round of Bocksa and Mark (After drinking the Ultra Divine Water.) Vs Demon King Piccolo would definitely be a good fight. So I'n guessing Bocksa trains under Kami for the next three years before the next tournament while Mark trains/raises Piccolo (Since it was his idea.) before the next tournament. With Piccolo becoming good after a good amount of time. Anyways another good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.
and another secondary antagonist survives his debut arc. First General Blue, now Piano. That's quiet impressiv and i cannot wait to see, what you do with this.

I so dearly miss the old thumbnails.
They looked a lot more skillfully made, these new ones look like what we would've had before previous ones. Was a lot easier to recognize and track WHAT IF's they were and which part.
Was there a good reason for a change, or did it just sort of happened?
What if Kakarot had followed through with his Saiyan programming and mission to conquer the Earth. Only to be overthrown by the "heroic" Red Ribbon Army. The world then unites behind them, throws money at them, lets them "acquire" Capsule Corp, Senbei Norimaki and raid Dr. Wheelos lab to prepare to strike back at the alien threat.
Good-boy Piccolo? That'll be interesting to see, though I guess Piano isn't gonna let the newborn Piccolo be turned good all that easily
WHAT IF story idea;
The pakora earings never unfused Goku and Vegeta. The show continues with them merged. Shenron isn't able to do it, and when they ask Shenron if the nomekian balls are strong enough to unfuse them, he says no. Buu saga ends with Vegeto being the victor, and we have a beautiful ending to the show.
Fast forward to super, and Vegeto becomes the first super saiyan god (perhaps they brought vegata's brother back for the ceremony). Super plays out as we are used to, except with vegeto. Tournament of power has one extra slot, and we have goten/trunks step up. They fuse right at the start of the event and enter as "one person", it is deemed acceptable because vegeto was allowed despite being a fused being, and so did Piccolo despite being a fused being, so why not goten/trunks. When they unfuse mid-tourney the omniking allows it because he thought it was fun.
Vegeto has the same arcs as both goku and vegeta. He has the ultrainstinct arc mid-tourney, he has vegetas acended blue mid tourney. Its a close call, but with the help of their friends, they win. The tournament ends with the same wish, and all is well. But this time, he actually masters ultra instinct, surpassing Beerus' usage of it, to the gods amazement.
Then the arc ends with vegeto asking whis how long until they can use the super dragon balls again. Whatever the answer, they, with the gods help, go recollect the balls, wait the time and make a new wish. When the Super Shenron asks what they wish, vegeto asks:
"I want to end this fusion, and go back to being Goku and Vegeta". Super shenron overpowers the Kai magic, and successfully unfuses them.
Back in their base bodies, the two, despite banter, have a new level of camaraderie. They lived years fused, they became gods together, but they have never been more than super saiyans apart. In their own bodies, they no longer are able to go blue, nor use ultrainstinct. But during their attempt, they successfully both go Super Saiyan 4.
but then they try the fusion dance, and Gogeta arises. Despite not being vegeto, the two together find the balance they lack apart, and successfully go god again. It is now a temporary boost that they wonder if they will ever achieve apart. But together, they are among the gods. Apart, they are the leaders of the Z Fighters.

Please do a part 14 of What if Raditz turn good? The Moro Arc where Vegeta still learns Forced Spirit Fission and Goku masters Ultra Instinct while Raditz trains under Beerus to learn more about the Power of Destruction like Vegeta has done in canon?
Masako mainly focuses on events which have been presented in the anime format for his what-ifs, while using any details from beyond said anime to support his stories, like with Planet Yardrat. He rarely ever covers future events themselves. Pretty sure the only time he's done that was with Broly turning good, and that was just for a brief moment.

I just thought of a plot hole in Super, one I don't recall anyone ever talking about. It's the numerical pairing system of universes. In BOG Whis explains that any universe that adds up to 13 with another is a sister universe. Hints why 6 and 7 are similar. In the ToP this concept is thrown to the way side as none of the other universes do this in the slightest. 5 and 8, 4 and 9, 3 and 10, 2 and 11, 1 and 12... where are the similarities in any of these pairings?
I'm guessing some of these universe might either be extremely similar, or even polar opposites. Universes 3 and 9 are completely different from each other, for example. 3 is composed of highly rational and intelligent beings. 9 has many irrational, impulsive beings in it. (U9's Supreme Kai, the Trio of Danger).
In fairness, we don't really know much about any universes other than 7, 6, and 11. 7 and 6 seem pretty close other than a missing Earth and saiyans being different (and frost having good PR). we know fighters from the other universes but not really their planets and what not. It may be that the planets mirror each other or people are more violent or technology developed in one but not the other, idk. We know they are supposed to be opposites but we don't fully know what that entails really.
Likely Toriyama/Toyotaro/whoever just forgot really...

That would be great Boksa would have four brothers Raditz, Krillin, Mr. Satan and Piccolo. And also two older sisters Tights and Bulma. Bocksa is going to have a lot of siblings!
They've alot of things to teach piccolo if he's gonna behave, but now thinking about the 23rd martial arts, Spopovich could be one of bocksa and Mark's biggest enemies should he lose to any of them, I just hope this doesn't have Videl end up getting beat to pulp in this timeline again, I know for sure Mark, Miguel even those affiliated with Capsule Corp would hate see their family member hurt by their rival.

This has potential to be an even bigger breakfast club of combat, Launch, Bocksa, Tien, Chiaotzu, Yamcha, Mark, Eighter, Piccolo Jr. Could even get Upa, Yurin & Chi-Chi into some of that. Bulma could also make a mech for fighting.

I’m loving this speculative series so far! Launch was one of my favorite characters, and I’m glad to see she’s playing more of an active role. I’m also enjoying Hercule’s role in this.

ya know just had an idea regarding this. given that the Brief family doesn't have an issue with guns at all. I would imagine that Boxer would learn some Gunkata stuff to incorperate with his normal martial arts. Though not sure if guns are completely useless in Dragonball or not, they seem so in Z and above.

I am always torn on this one but end up liking it. As you see I started here many years ago when UPN was around. It aired it on Sunday but sadly my mom dragged me to church. I did catch it enough to get hooked though. What I loved was that techniques, power ups, teamwork and all that mattered. So when DBZ hit and it quickly became only about power levels? I was very torn because that really just seemed like a limited thing. Well in the end it won me over but only till Buu where it lost me. Sadly DB was lost to me for many years ever getting to fill the episode gaps. Suddenly Suncoast had a censored copy... I did not know bought it and watch but found things missing on what I did know and returned it. It was not till I could torrent years later that I ever got to finish the original proper.
I tell you this because it is nice to see that stuff matter again with your work. It takes me back a little.

In the 'What if Goku won against Master Roshi' the Future Timeline should be the same as in Canon expect with Future Gohan being still alive and has his arm that way a version of Gohan can be in that story and perhaps during the Goku Arc Goku permanently fuses with Future Goku like Nappa did in 'What if Nappa turn good'
I just realized if Vegitta still gets with Bulma and Goku still gets with ChiChi then Gohan and Trunks will be Cousins

What If: Mr. satan upset with what happened to Videl during the Buu Saga followed the Z-Team to Babidi's ship. Ultimately leading to Majin Satan. It could create a deeper connection with him and Buu too.
