Well, I'm actually gonna comment about getting the discussion going as Masako puts it. I do genuinely believe Goku would react the same *if not more angry and heart broken* by the death of krillen here. My main reasoning for this is the fact that Goku and Krillen seem to have a better friendship in this story and seem a little bit closer than in canon.
Hope his tail grows back during the piccolo arc and that he also gets a handle on the ikari form, granted piccolo would need to be much stronger than he was in canon but I always thought he and Kami should have been way stronger than what they actually were. Especially with the hype the nameless Namekian gets

This one really has potential to be a detailed and long series, given how it's been 8 episodes, and we're still in the OG DB. Loving this series, by the way!
I do think she should need martial arts and her technology but as a person like her whose more into science she doesn't particularly have to be interested in fighting and going to tournaments just more like learn to protect people she cares about.
I'm always pleased to see Hercule/ Mark doing his best. My favorite interaction of him. Side note: What if Goku chose to train at the Crane school instead of Turtle school?

And here we go, the first big brawl of the series, and, in some ways, probably the most important point of this narrative in terms of how it keeps with the original. Even if this WI never gets to Z, the Piccolo Daimao fight will set the template for how the battles in later arcs will go. Will Boxer go it alone like Goku does, leaving everyone else to just basically holding the line and getting slapped down by the Big Bad until he steps in (leading to him finally beginning to grossly outstrip everyone else save Piccolo Jr.), or will he be more amenable to doing a more proper team up with the rest of the group, both now and (presumably) later on? To be honest, I'm not really sure, as I can see it going either way (though I'm rooting for a team effort). The next couple of parts will be super interesting!
Hi Masako, too bad April Fools just happened, but I just had an interesting "What if" idea.... What if everything happened... Typically your "What if's" are based on a single change, how about you combine multiple of your popular stories. For example, what if Raditz and Napa were good, Goku was Female and went SS early, Bulma and Mr. Satan trained, etc... May be a hot mess, but would be at least funny.
Mark Krillen Boxa and Launch all win their matches Me: Wait, that doesn’t leave any room for Tien... unless instead of an 8 man tourney, it’s a 16 man. But iirc they did 8 man back then
I really hope that both of Launch's personalities, later on in the series, gets fused into one being. Maybe black haired Launch? Maybe that will combine the strength of both sides of Launch and maybe her training will be equivalent to two humans training, I don't know I'm just spit balling here.
MasakoX can I make a suggestion for later? I ask you, please make sure Bocksa gets his training under Kami, and also implement elements of your best what if. That being, What If Raditz turned good? Such as Raditz turning good and him being a valuable member of the team and hooking up with Launch and having kids. And to spice this story up I would love it if Bocksa eventually gets all of Goku's official transformations from across the franchise. I hope so after this arc. I want to see Bocksa get both God Ki and Super Saiyan 4 along with the other Super Saiyan states. And if Bocksa gets his tail back he may also master the Oozaru state. So please let him do it. Bocksa would have come full circle on his heritage. To quote the original Buddhist inspiration of Journey to The West and Dragon Ball. "It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels, or demons, heaven or hell".

I don’t know. It might result in similar events happening after a while. Granted it be a different Buu Saga. I don’t see a difference afterwards. Both Super and GT.
Boksa will differ from Goku in the King Piccolo arc with the focus being on teamwork rather than him flying off the handle. He'll lose his cool, that's a given, but fighting the Demon clan will be more of a group effort with Mark, Launch, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu involved.
In the original, Goku would've won since he had already beaten Ten Shinhan, but the truck ruined that, so Bocksa winning out seems fitting, especially because of what he grew up with. Also I can imagine that in the future he'll have a mechanic's workshop, instead of being a farmer, and so Chi-chi wouldn't be yelling at him for that at least.
