Maxwell Krone I wanna guess that maybe they got new drums or heads. And maybe they just put the heads on, and if you tune em too high, they could essentially break from being too tight. I’m pretty sure I heard one of the people from this drumline saying that, but I’m not fully sure. Just a potential thought for why they’re tuned so low.

I think a lot of people are thrown off by the lowness of the tenors, especially when the drumline is using deep shell tenors. Other than that the tuning isn’t actually bad, it’s just different, which I guess is bad in the drumline world?
I will also say, while the intervals are correct, maybe due to the head being old, or not tuning to a specific note, the tenors do sound a bit to damp and almost drowned it that’s a good way of saying it
And one last thing! After some thought I believe this is also an environment issue, as the tech of this respective school seems pretty competent in tuning of the snares and basses, as they both sound pretty good
