To be fair, it really isn’t a “Drumline” it’s more a Tenor line, and it’s also like 70% less cool with only tenors because it has a bunch of awkward gaps and pauses, plus the fact that they’re playing at like 110 bpm, which is incredibly slow. I’ve played this before and trust me on this one, it could use improvement.

+Jonathan Valente Its the best thing you can do. Im in high school right now, made snare this year and super proud of it. All of our hard work paid off, we still got the best percussion award. The friends you meet are the best youll ever meet. And if the school has a good band and even better, a good drum line like the one I go to, it makes it even better

After 9th grade and my first year of High school marching band, I can dance in front of the whole student section and idc anymore I just mess around and all. You meet so amny great people. And you go on trips and all. t?His year were oging to TEnnesee so I cant wait for that. You also at football games at half time, at leas at my school, we mingle with theo ther band and so each year you revist them and you say hi and all. Really fun.

If you use too much arm movement, your arms will get tired and become very stiff. Having very loose wrists is the way to play faster and better. You use your arms to change which drums you're hitting, but your wrists are what do all the hitting.
A lot of you guys are hating of them because it sounds a little sloppy which kind of makes me sad. No one joins drum line to just be a drummer without having fun. Drum line is supposed to be cool an fun, especially if you are jut playing a cadence. If you join drum line just to play and you do not have fun then you are not a real drum line member. I don't care what you guys say. These guys have fast hands and I doubt very much that you guys could play it better than them.

You don’t have to play clean to have fun... for all we know they could be playing this in public for the first time and they seem really excited and that they are having a lot of fun like you said, it’s not strictly business and fundamentals so thanks for standing up for them. I’m on a Drumline and we can barely play this(also because we don’t have hat many people to play tenors) so this is a really fun tune to play only two of us can play it and I’m one of them and I even play bass drum so I just wish that everyone would get off their backs.
Exactly why I’m quitting. My new instructor bases everything we do on his desire to win, because he came from the best school in the state and we’re #2 so he got a dirt easy show and wants it robotic

Those quad heads are tuned better than the other video that I was watching of the Jig 2 version. Can’t remember which drumline that was. But I love how those are tuned nice and sharp!
Last time I checked, everyone plays their own way and does what they love. If they play sloppy to you that's cool. That's your opinion. But if you are a musician, especially a percussionist, you should show support. I know criticism is a big thing in the music industry but I mean come on this is high school. There are bands that are worse and there are bands that are better. Fact of the matter is, we are all musicians and do what we do best and that is play music. I'm sure someone will eventually say something negative to this comment 😂😂😂😂but that isn't my concern and I do not care. I love the cadence and I love drums. Enjoy
You might think Jig 2 is easy but it's a lot harder than you think so make that clean transition on the solo part. This is the cleanest I've heard it and the articulation is so good!! They did a great job with this. Drum line is not meant for narcissists. Appreciate the effort people put into things.

And yes there is a long story behind the name. we also have Big Burtha, Big Zack, Cheeseburger, Weave Monster, Texas, and Solo....long stories behind all the names but if I tell y'all, yall would prob think we're dumb and hilarious

Guys do you think I should be in my High School's Marching Band next year? I'm gonna be a freshman and it's gonna be my first year in marching band (2 years of band experience). I'm sorry, but I'm afraid it's not as hard as people make it out to be, and it's certainly not worth the timing issues. It's all about keeping your arms relaxed, and practicing muscle memory to prevent rim clicking. These guys sounded slow and lazy on the chorus and the solos were being rushed and sloppy.
Some kids at my school played this at homecoming played this and the kid who did the solo part did it so good and everybody was screaming
