Got my pro 12 two months ago and I love it! Had no problems and had clean lines w/ 0% correction/stabilizer, perfect for my art and animation.

So the kamvas 12 is better than 13 or
Sometimes, connecting this tablet to your computer will make your Photoshop and sometimes your whole computer freeze. And then after fiddling with the driver software you realize that disabling Windows Ink fixes it. But that comes at the cost of losing pressure sensitivity. If that ever happens to you, do the following:
Create a text file in a text editor such as Notepad.
Type in the following lines:
# Use WinTab
UseSystemStylus 0
Save the file as a plain text file named PSUserConfig.txt, and save the file into the Photoshop settings folder: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 201*\Adobe Photoshop CC 201* Settings\
And your pressure sensitivity should be back with absolutely no lag or freezing. Hope this helps people out there. Huion is a really great brand.

@@helios3722 I think that's it. I just got a 13" these days and I made this test and I didn't got the wavy lines. But I dont know if mine dont even had this problem or got the updated
@@helios3722 Not fixed. just reduced to a very minimal wobble, you can see it clearly on diagonal line without stabilizer. But thats good and still acceptable.
Some ppl who dont get wobbly line problems are usually those who use high stabilizer on their application. And they usually to do fast strokes.
I have the tablet, and dont want ppl to think its perfect. Cuz imho its still have a way to go before its comparable to wacom in term of accuracy.
@@helios3722 Im not talking about the ratios of what you get, or about the fact that wacom once have these problem too. When Im talking about accuracy, its the actual thing on the present time when you tried both side by side.
Im just trying to say that "exaggerating the fix" is bad. Even to huion company itself. Just be honest that its still not get fixed, only reduced.

Having drawing lineart for so long I cant help to feel something weird is still there. When i want it to be A, sometimes its still become B.
Maybe its just me being too sensitive. But hey. Artist cant help it because we need the lineart and everything to be as tidy as possible.

My point since started is ppl shouldnt exaggerating when giving a review/comment. Because many ppl might be thinking that the problem is really disappear, while its not. Since some ppl might be buying it and feel disappointed afterward, when finding out that its just reduced. You get my point?
So I suggest people to be cautious and really tried it before buying, go to the store, try it 0% stabilizer on the apps that you use, and then decide accordingly based to your feeling when you draw.
Because different ppl have their different standard about the comfort and accuracy of the pen. Some ppl said its acceptable, for you, it might be not.
I just wish THIS year they come up with at least a 2K or 4K monitor, that way I have all the PS Panels that I always use docked on a single screen... Great vid!

I've been a Wacom user for many many years. My oldest tablets have rs232 ports, since usb hadn't been invented yet...
I mostly do photo editing in Photoshop and vector design in illustrator and Corel Draw.
The line jitter problem is something I've encountered quite a few times so far and I've had to live with it, until some fellow editor suggested Lazy Nezumi Pro. Quite honestly, all the problems I see here (in addition to a few others) are solved, plus some extra features are added to you tablet by the plugin.
I don't know if you're a user or even if you're aware of Lazy Nezumi at all, I was just checking reviews for Wacom display tablets alternatives since I'm in the market for one, I stumbled upon your channel, and I was surprised you don't mention it at all...

Just so you know you can set the scroll bar to different stuff. I have it set to make my brush bigger and smaller. I don’t know if this was a recent driver update or not but it is possible, If I remember correctly I recall you said you didn’t think it was possible on your first review and just wanted to let anyone who got this tablet to know you can.

only issue i've had with my kamvas 12 is that reds seem slightly purple for me, like they're shifted to be slightly cooler than intended. I dont have this issue with any color except reds which is odd to me. any advice? for context, i use photoshop cc and no display calibration that I could do seemed to help

Does the Huion KAMVAS Pro 12 Tablet come with many different pen nibs like the XP PEN Artist 12?
Glad to see an updated review of this, honestly worried when seeing how your issues with this tablet was when other reviews (like one from Create Now Sleep Later) seems to have minor issues with it. (And taking the factor that most watchers usually will take note of its flaws more than praises)
Though, this still says that this tablet is far from perfect. Hopefully the reason they didn't release the firmware publicly is because the firmware still in development or something and they're waiting to release it with a Mac version?

I just bought the Pro 13 recently. I downloaded the ~January 1st~ driver in their website and didn't update anything yet.
It's really working great for me as my first drawing monitor!! I never encountered an issue and I use the left hand mode. For price, it's really worth it!

Unfortunately, I recently bought one, only to have it overheat and the next day have it not display anymore. My computer recognized it and the cable was fine, but the tablet was pretty much dead. Might have been a defective unit and I was just unlucky.

I decided to switch my 13 pro for a wacom cintiq due to the cursor offset, due to the squeaky pen and due to the absence of felt tips, plus real issues with software like Autodesk sketchbook and others. It's nice for someone who's not serious about art, but as soon as you notice the cursor offset issue it's over my friend, it's just bad.
Can anybody comment on how the lines behave when using a stabilizer turned up high after the firmware update? I like to turn mine up to 100% when I'm lining stuff just because it's more precise and I've got a shaky hand, and this firmware update broke my stabilizers in every program. Really wanna know if I was the only one or not. Huion wouldn't help me out much so I wound up returning it, but yeah, would definitely like to know if I was an exception here.

Thanks for the update, Brad. One of the reasons I love your channel. Question: The parallax looks pretty severe on these devices. Is it the angle of the camera or is it really that bad?
No there isnt much parallax at all, the screen is bonded glass.
It's likely just the calibration. I ended up returning mine as I could never get a good calibration and even a decent one wouldn't hold over a day or so. Was rather annoying.
Is it just a display tablet or a an independent one like wacpmd Mobile studio pro?

This is strange. I have my huion and is less shaky than yours and it doesnt has the firmware. I checked and still uses one from october.
I Began Animation recently, I am still torn between Ipad, Wacom and Huion, Could you do a comparison video?
Ask yourself, "how reliable, do I want my device to be?", then you only have to worry about 1½, depending on how bendable you want your drawing tablet.
There are limited animation options on ios. Rough Animator is great for basic animation, but if you
need more finished cells or Adobe Animate functionality--stay with windows/mac solutions
Personally I enjoy animating on the iPad Pro, I use clip studio paint which can take some getting used to but I love it. I could have gotten a Wacom tablet but the portability of the IPad and the quality and feel of Apple Pencil sold it for me.
I have used the three and I would recommend getting a computer and pairing it with a Huion tablet. I have the ipad pro and tried animating on it but there isn't really enough software to animate with. And Rough Animator does a really basic job at animation.

Despite the price difference, would you say the Huion pro 13 is better or worse than the XP-PEN 15.6 pro? Specially with those shoelace thingies you said about the xp-pen on your review, my artstyle is really focused on very sharp and zig zag ish lines, spikes, etc So I'm concerned that the xp-pen would drive me crazy if that's the case, so I'm really between that and the huion pro 13

I just purchased this and I cannot get the display on the tablet to work... I can open photoshop and work via the screen on my computer but not with the actual display... the main reason I purchased this. I read somewhere that there was an issue with MacOS Mojave and they re-released a driver... I used the newest release as well.... Is anyone else having these issues? HELP!!!

Well, I got this tablet as a Christmas present, the first one came dead so I called amazon and got them to replace it, they sent me a replacement and to my surprise the box outside was similar, but inside was different, I called Amazon and asked them, I was told the first one was an old model and the second one was the newest model, which made me think they have old models and new models at the same price and they sell them, so for me it was a struck of luck that it came dead the first time, but if it wasn't dead I would have an old model, so how do I know it is the newest one if they are this dishonest.
I'm really having trouble choosing between the Kamvas Pro 12 and the Wacom One. Line smoothness is a big deal for me, but so are the lack of a laminated screen and express keys for the wacom pen display. It's bad enough that neither one has touch capabilities. Wacom should really have put other things into their tablet instead of that dang phone connectivity. Because chances are, if you can afford one of the supported phones, you can afford a regular iPad + gen 1 apple pencil for coffee shop drawing sessions.
Just last month, I was almost ready to commit to buying the Kamvas Pro 13, even though I had a lot of doubts about its performance (it was really a gamble)............then the Wacom Cintiq 16 shows up in the nick of time. I set aside my funds and instead used to to pre-order the Cintiq 16 from my preferred tech distributor. Hopefully I can get it at the end of this month, or next month.
To further justify my decision, I went with my family on a vacation trip to Tokyo, Japan. There, I spent a lot of time visiting Yodobashi (their biggest tech store) and testing out Wacom demo products, ranging from all the Cintiq Pros, to the MSP, and finally the Cintiq 16. The accuracy and feel of the pen sold it for me. In addition, Wacom drivers have that "Radial Menu" feature on its drivers, and I personally might find a great deal of use out of that.
I've used a fair deal of Huion products on my end, but they're mostly my friends' graphic tablets! I've tested out the GT-191 many times. It works to serve its purpose, but that's pretty much it. I personally don't like the "spring retraction" or spongy feel I get when I use their pens ( *I swear I think this is just me!* ), plus they are riddled with driver issues and both cursor and color calibration problems more often than not (might as well stick to default settings to get rid of that headache). Their regular tablet pads are awesome, but their display tablets tell a different story.
This Kamvas Pro in Brad's video shows that the pen isn't as accurate as I was hoping it would be, despite there being a laminated screen behind it. Cintiq 16, while having parallax because of the older screen, is still very accurate. Don't get me wrong, I admire the progress that Huion has shown thus far, but there's the thing - they need a lot of catching-up to do! Driver updates having to be emailed? Come on man.
So is this the end for Wacom alternatives? Nope, because XP-PEN is in the hood y'all.
I'm loving the release of the new Artist 15.6 Pro, and if I had waited a bit longer, then I could have bought it, but I stand by my decision to get the Cintiq 16. For those who have been yearning for Wacom's "budget" Cintiq (not really, lol), then the XP-PEN Artist 15.6 Pro is a solid and logical investment to make. At least $200 cheaper than the former, and I constantly hear or read about positive raves regarding their products, their drivers and the feel of the pen. :)
He has it bad calibrated, i have this tablet too and a cintiq pro 16, the drivers are having tons of problems on wacom, i think the not pro is a better choice for estability. The reason i didnt but the cintiq 16 is that the glass isnt etched so it will scratch. Decided to flip a coin with kanvas pro 13. I was surprised it almost matched my benq 2700pt colors.
If you work with colors a lot and a high color gamut is important to you, then the Cintiq 16 is not a good choice at all, since it has a lower color gamut than some of the alternatives.
I have an XP Pen drawing pad and absolutely LOVE it. Looking at moving onto a drawing monitor and I hear such good things about those as well :)

Best product reviews by far! I am thinking to buy Xp pen artist 12, Huion Kamvas Pro 13 or XP-PEN Artist13.3 v2. I have the budget for one of those 3. The 13 inch have the advantage of the screen size, the Huion has the advantage on the laminated screen, the Xp pen has advantage on excellent drawing especially the Xp pen artist 12 with the hexagon pen. Which one of those do you recommend?

@@temesasu6381 I bought the Huion eventually. They fix the wobbly lines because from the first day I used it the lines were straight. I highly recommend it.

Best case scenario? You might have to restart your computer. Worst case? You might have to uninstall and reinstall the driver. Hope this helps.
