- A quick scramble to the top of a part of the Mummy Mountain range in Paradise Valley, Arizona. From the road to the top was an approximate 200 foot (61 meter) elevation gain. My view was from an elevation of 458 feet (140 meters) above the valley floor. There is no trail! However, the land is public, and low-impact use is encouraged.
From the top, you can see North Scottsdale, Downtown Phoenix, Camelback Mountain, Arizona State University, and the Salt River-Pima Indian Community. You can skip to 4:15 for some view from the top.
This is actually "Take 3" of my climb within the hour. The video quit filming during my first climb, and the second climb I deemed too obnoxious due to my heavy breathing. My third climb was a few seconds quicker than the second, and done with a little less breathing! My first climb was still the fastest though, at under 4 minutes.

This isn’t the peak.
I never said it was, but I have summited all the way to the peak before! It takes a lot longer, and the view is only marginally better. It is a very fun hike though! Especially if you enjoy pathfinding and scrambling up rocks.
