Recently returned from our Sedona/Grand Canyon trip, Sedona is beautiful with the Red Rock beauties and the amazing hikes. I consider myself fairly fit for my age and I hiked all over Sedona with my 21 year old daughter. After hiking the first day with my SLIPPERY NIKES, I went out and purchased Altra gym shoes with the rubber sole, it made all the difference gripping the rock without slipping. We did Doe Mountain which was lovely. We also did the devils bridge hike which I found a little more challenging because of the long walk to even get to the uphill climb. I would definitely recommend going to the Church and also Antelope Canyon was worth it. The Grand Canyon was nice to see once. We also went to slide rock and I have mixed feelings about it, it was a beautiful creek BUT very very slippery almost everywhere you walk, I kept thinking that someone was going to fall and hurt themselves, many people had the water shoes on which helped a little but not much. I couldn't enjoy myself there because it was so dangerous, so keep that in mind if you want to visit. My family and I found the food in Sedona to be below average, we did go to Hideaway House and Picazzos, but I can't recommend, and Javelina Cantina forget about it, 2 dirty glasses! Enough said.
I've been there multiple times with my wife. Beautiful place to visit. And if you're a mountain biker like myself, one of the coolest places to ride. Miles and miles of technical riding. Amazing place.
We have been traveling to Sedona for over 30 years and you certainly left off some great eating places, this is just a few. Coffee Pot for breakfast, Pagos in Village of Oak Creek for great pizza and Italian dishes, Dahl and Deluca for a great dinner experience. And now that Village of Oak Creek is putting in a new hotel, upscaling the outlet shops and Lisa Dahl opening 2 new read there, it will put it on the map again.
My favorite eatery in Sedona is Cowboy Club steakhouse. You gonna love that place on the main road (St Rt 89A). It was recommended by the driver of Road Runner trolley on our first time to Sedona.
For omelet lovers, the Coffee Pot restaurant has over 100 varieties to choose from. It's an area institution and has an old-timey feel that the newer places lack.
Hola desde Texas, USA✌❤ In 2005 I was living in Tempe, AZ. I went to Sedona to attend a Spanish AA convention or gathering. I went to the Catholic Church and it was beautiful. I would like to go back and visit the energy vortexes. I hope you get to visit one day. ANIMO👍
Those rock cliff dwellings of the Hopi natives looked a lot like one of the places we visited when we took the Pink Jeep Tour. Also, Jerome and The Grand Canyon are both close enough to visit and return to Sedona on the same day. There is so much to see and do there.
My wife and I went there last week. This video was the inspiration for the visit. Beautiful town. It was actually more populous than we thought it would be. I would recommend stopping by Slide Rock State Park; it's 7 miles north of Sedona.
I was in Sedona in May many years ago, loved it, high energy place to be, see all the vortexes, wondaful place to hike, as no humidity. The huge rocks do radiate a lot of heat, so I would avoid summers there. If you are from Phoenix area, then it may not be that bad in the summer for you, it's all relative to what you are used to.
Super helpful! I am planning a trip for me and my 8 year old to Sedona later this year. Your video was wonderful. I’ll definitely research many of these suggestions!!!
Hey Josh! This is an awesome video! As an AZ native, visiting Sedona is my favorite thing to do here! I LOVE The Chai Spot & I’ve always wanted to go hiking there so your recommendations helped a lot!
We also loved lunch down by the river at L’Auberge de Sedona. The Pink Jeep Tours are great fun if you’re not into hiking. Also, not far away are Jerome, Az to the west, and Arcosanti off the highway down to Phoenix.
Thanks I didn’t know about Palaki Heritage Site. Also thanks for pointing out Snoopy I’ve missed him several times I’ve gone to Sedona. I agree Wildflower Bread Company great food.
What about Slide Rock? That was the only place we did go to near Sedona and we loved it - a natural water park. Otherwise, I love your list and food suggestions. A really nice and helpful video of highlights for our next trip there. Thanks!

Just came back from Sedona two days ago and happy to see I hit many of the spots/hikes listed in this video. If you haven't been there it's a must for your bucket list. Seriously one of the most beautiful places in the country.
Going this weekend! 2nd time there. some on this list were already on my list. I will try some of his suggestions let you know on Tuesday on my return. if you have never been, you should. Sedona is unbelievably beautiful.
Great video! I had the chance to visit Sedona a year ago and loved it. Such a unique destination to visit. I went out to Scottsdale this past year for the first time and really loved it. Arizona really is a great place to explore. Thanks for the great video, and see you in our travels.
Cathedral Rock is an AWESOME hike! We just hiked Devil's Bridge last weekend as well! AWESOME!!!!!!! Your reflections of Sedona are SPOT ON!!!! Nice post!
Devils bridge is amazing. The Jeep trails are so much fun. We loved renting a Jeep from Barlow’s, made the sights really accessible and squeezed so much activity into a short time. Yeah it’s pricey it’s a tourist trap but jeez avoid the city and go out where all the good stuff is, you know the red rocks?!
Pizza Lisa!!! Resident of Phoenix here, and Pizza Lisa is always on our list. Authentic Napoli style pizza here - you can see the ovens as you walk in... is fantastic here, all in a cozy, rock-n-roll vibe setting. This place bustles, and is always full. They sell gelato here, and some other fantastic Italian deserts as well. Romantic, casual vibe, but also fun for families.
Nice video Coffee Pot for breakfast outside seating..Pagos Italian restaurant in the Village of Oak Creek 1 mile from Bell Rock A visit to Jerome and too bad that Sedona is too touristy with all that beauty..traffic a nightmare, especially weekends..
Pretty good list, I’ll have to check out one of those restaurants I haven’t been to yet. I would add Cow Pies Trailhead as a spot for photography. Great shots from the parking lots and 3 trailheads to choose from.
Great job. I remember visiting Sedona before it became super popular. You could go up to the airport road lookout and actually park your car on the edge and look out over the city at night. Now it's like Grand Central Station up there.....w hundreds of people watching the sunset there every evening. I don't blame them but I miss the old days. My older brother proposed to his wife up there at the Sky Ranch Hotel.
Thank you so much for those quick and insightful recommendations. I've only been to Sedona 2 times and visited some of the places, hikes and restaurants, but didn't know about many of the others. I may be going there this Sept of 2021 so this is perfect to give me some good suggestions!
Our favorite was the 30 min trek to ghost burger... amazing views and delicious burgers. We were scheduled to do a balloon ride too, but it was too windy so it was cancelled. Looked like it would've been amazing.
FYI, the Elote Cafe only takes reservations now, no longer walk ups
60 days ahead….

I love this town! I’m a Utah and Arizona gal. It’s been way too long since I’ve been there, I miss it.
For omelet lovers, the Coffee Pot restaurant has over 100 varieties to choose from. It's an area institution and has an old-timey feel that the newer places lack.
I love that place!
I love the coffee pot restaurant!
Coffee Pot is iconic!
Yes! It's awesome!!!
I'm going to visit this year on a weekend! I live in Arizona and don't even get out much but thats going to change in 2022! 💯🙏
Thanks for the tips, we were just talking about going here for vacation, now you gave us some ideas on what to do.
I'd love to know Sedona some day! Greetings from Argentina.
Clau Monas Oh sweetheart hold onto your dream I’m sure that you can achieve your dream.
@@staywildmoonchild1950 Thank you so much!!!
Saludos!
I will definitely go it looks amazing and blows UK
Hola desde Texas, USA✌❤
In 2005 I was living in Tempe, AZ.
Best drive with view I’ve ever seen! Remember it with great memories.
Very cool place to visit .. a lot of different red colored rocks ... Enjoyed your video.
Ace video; the drive through Oak Canyon Creek is a video in itself.
I found Italian restaurant it also nice and safari jeep tuor is really hiking and nice views I definitely recommend that
Thank you for all the fantastic tour of Sedona you covered from the rocks desert food everything thank you
Also Pink Jeep tours is great. Very adventurous and you can see an area called "ride the white line",
If by "Great" you mean completely exploiting the land and destructive of the local flora then YES!
Thanks I didn’t know about Palaki Heritage Site. Also thanks for pointing out Snoopy I’ve missed him several times I’ve gone to Sedona. I agree Wildflower Bread Company great food.
Shopping in Sedona is always fun for me! Crystal Magic and Mystical Bazaar on 89A are my favorites.
Thanks for the great video, Marna
I just discovered crystal magic onlineand going to phoenix for 2 weeks in January. Looking forward to go to Sedona.
What about Slide Rock? That was the only place we did go to near Sedona and we loved it - a natural water park. Otherwise, I love your list and food suggestions. A really nice and helpful video of highlights for our next trip there. Thanks!
That's another great suggestion and one I would have included if I had more time
Sedona use to be a mecca of apple orchards. You can still experience that at Slide Rock
Schnebly Hill Rd. begins near Tlaquepaque. Massive. God's handy work.
good videol
Great video. Loved seeing Sedona. Thanks from the UK xx
We followed most of your recommendations and were so pleased. Thanks!
Love it. saving this for our next family vacation, coming from Toronto, Canada.
Thank you for your video, I will be driving through tomorrow and will try to do a couple of these things.
Thank you so much. No wasted garble, but to the point. On our way now!
Very nice n kind information about Sedona... Thanks for sharing it.
Just came back from Sedona two days ago and happy to see I hit many of the spots/hikes listed in this video. If you haven't been there it's a must for your bucket list. Seriously one of the most beautiful places in the country.
I'll be heading there at the end of the month. How was the weather for you?
@ awesome 😊
I'm excited! And thanks for the reply
Was there in 2010, Seems a lot more developed+crowded then I remember. good vid, thx
Living there was the most memorable time in my life. I miss it everyday.
Wow . It is good for you...
Was in Sedona recently and loved "ChocolaTree" restaurant / health shop, with a lovely outdoor patio. All healthy tasty food.
This is what I was going to recommend. Love!
Chocolate Tree, lovely unique backyard garden, pleasant, serene
Severely overpriced and super small portions. Not worth it.
One of my faves too.
I loved this place!
Moving to Gold Canyon in January and you are so far my best your guide.
Cathedral Rock is an AWESOME hike! We just hiked Devil's Bridge last weekend as well! AWESOME!!!!!!! Your reflections of Sedona are SPOT ON!!!! Nice post!
Loved the hiking trail at Airport Overlook. Also, the food at Hudson was delish! Thought the food at Elote Cafe was good.
loved seeing your video footage. We head out next month.
One of the best places on our planet
Nice video Coffee Pot for breakfast outside seating..Pagos Italian restaurant in the Village of Oak Creek 1 mile from Bell Rock A visit to Jerome and too bad that Sedona is too touristy
with all that beauty..traffic a nightmare, especially weekends..
Pretty good list, I’ll have to check out one of those restaurants I haven’t been to yet.
I would add Cow Pies Trailhead as a spot for photography. Great shots from the parking lots and 3 trailheads to choose from.
I can't forget shocking impression when I saw amazing landscape first time in Sedona.
I’ll hit those places next weekend, thanks for sharing.
Went there on our Honeymoon. Loved Slide Rock!
Thank you so much for those quick and insightful recommendations. I've only been to Sedona 2 times and visited some of the places, hikes and restaurants, but didn't know about many of the others. I may be going there this Sept of 2021 so this is perfect to give me some good suggestions!
Go hiking everyone!!
You saved the best for last Elote Cafe! 100% friendly reminder they are closed Sunday and Monday ;)
I go to Sedona once or twice a year. A couple years ago, I stayed 6 weeks.
Great video! I was there yesterday for a drive thru and now I see I must go back and spend much more time exploring. Very gorgeous place.
Our favorite was the 30 min trek to ghost burger... amazing views and delicious burgers. We were scheduled to do a balloon ride too, but it was too windy so it was cancelled. Looked like it would've been amazing.
Miss you AZ and especially Sedona ,I felt like I was in the wild west :)
Sedona is beautiful! The weather in April is iffy for hiking.
this nature is really awesome, one of the best places ive ever seen . I wanna go back here .....
