    About Seinfeld:
    Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

    I keep coming back to watch the exchange between Helena and Kramer because that Three Stooges stuff is so hilarious and dark. And actress Elmarie Wendel (1928-2018) is the best combo of Baby Jane Hudson and Norma Desmond you could want, LOL. So good here.

    It’s crazy how no one noticed (including myself until now) that Kramer’s math was correct 😂😂😂
    Elena says 1934 and Kramer says it’s only 58 years (also very funny 😂) and that’s correct because their time was 1992

    anyone else ever hear during the "Helen" scene, the guy practicing opera (in another room) in the background? 😂

    • @eduardo_corrochio
      @eduardo_corrochio Год назад

      Yes, and I love that detail. I was going to point this out here in the comments myself--- the ambient sounds are great there, and it does sound like a gentleman practicing either an aria or the scales. I can't be certain which ... but it adds such a nice touch, and an authenticity, because you'd hear stuff like that in the background at a lot of boarding houses and apartment houses in Hollywood, I expect. At least, in the world of Make Believe Los Angeles, LOL.
      Also, I can totally imagine Helena, when she's alone at her home, practicing her tap dance routine or vamping in front of her full length mirror with a hot pink feather boa wrapped around her shoulders.

      At first glance, it seems so. But the wacky neighbor usually can't carry a sitcom. Sitcoms need a straight man protagonist to react to the nuts around her or him. At least that's how it seems to work with sitcoms. But you never know. "Kramer in Hollywood" might have been huge. It would have been the downfall of the Seinfeld show, though, LOL.

      Helena's scene is hilarious because there would never be such a dark and shocking Stooges short. But she comes off so convincing about having played the role of Mr. Sugarman's secretary, it almost seems like there actually was a Stooges film where a baby died and the boys were put to death. It's black comedy and it's brilliant. Helena is a spoof of older (mostly fictional) Hollywood actresses like Norma Desmond and Baby Jane Hudson, with their faded glory and all that.
